Chapter 1266:

“Ms. Clarke, I’m granting you top-level clearance,” Fabian announced. His admiration for Allison and Kellan was evident, and for some reason, he couldn’t explain, he felt there was something different about the way he regarded Allison—an almost instinctive trust, as if they had known each other for years.

“With this, you’re free to observe and learn anything you wish within Aröme Tower.”

“Thank you,” Allison replied with a polite smile. “We were just about to finalize the order for Diamond Feather.”

“Then go ahead. I’ll be here dealing with the aftermath,” Fabian said with a weary sigh. He ran a hand through his hair, looking exhausted. “I expect the media will be relentless in the coming days.”

Kellan handed Fabian a business card. “A friend of mine, Ferdinand Blakely, runs the world’s largest advertising firm. If you need help managing public opinion, just mention my name.”

Relief flashed across Fabian’s face. “I appreciate it. Thank you.”

“It’s nothing,” Kellan shrugged.

Once Fabian left, Allison and Kellan turned their attention back to business.

As the workday came to a close, Allison unexpectedly ran into Yasha. Gone was her earlier hostility. This time, she approached Allison with a bit of embarrassment to offer her congratulations.

“Ms. Clarke, I heard that you secured the order for Diamond Feather. This is truly something to celebrate,” Yasha said, offering a faint smile. “I’m sorry I underestimated you before.”

Allison replied casually, “It’s okay. I understand that. After all, you were focused on the company’s interests.” Allison didn’t take it to heart.

“But Ms. Bowen, you must have heard about what happened today, right?” Allison asked.

Yasha nodded.

“I know Aröme Tower is under attack. If we don’t expose this to the public and rally their support, these perfumers will fall into disarray. Therefore, I really appreciate your help.”

Determined to return the favor, Yasha continued, “Ms. Clarke, I heard you were asking about a woman in a white coat?”

Allison nodded earnestly. “Have you seen her? Many people say they haven’t.”

After a thoughtful pause, Yasha replied, “I’ve been here for a long time, so I’ve seen the woman you mean.” She pointed downstairs. “I spotted her on the first floor a while ago. It was swelteringly hot that day, and she was the only one wearing a mask, so she caught my eye.”

“I see, and do you know which floor she went to?” Allison asked, her tone steady.

“I’m not sure,” Yasha admitted. “Even though I’ve seen her a few times, she always takes the stairs. I only ever saw her on the first floor.”

“Alright, thanks,” Allison said with a faint smile, though the information wasn’t very concrete. Still, it reassured her that her mother was indeed here.

After Yasha left, Kellan locked eyes with Allison and whispered, “We need to act now. The sooner we find her, the better our chances. Fabian even granted us the highest clearance today.”
