Chapter 1273:

“Take them down!”

By the time the battle was over, she was drenched in blood. The exit was just ahead, the dim glow of freedom beckoning her forward.

But the moment she stepped out of Aröme Tower, she felt it — a chilling wave of hostility washing over her. Dozens of men stood there, their presence suffocating.

It was a trap, a cage meticulously prepared long before her arrival.

“Why isn’t it Lilyana?”

The man leading the group frowned, his expression dark and calculating. Then, as if something dawned on him, his lips curled into a sinister smirk. He narrowed his eyes, studying Allison with the slow, venomous gaze of a snake sizing up its prey.

“Our vanguard was completely wiped out, wasn’t it?” His voice was low, deadly.

Allison met his stare without flinching.

Although the lights in Aröme Tower were dim, she could still see that the attire of these people was very similar to the previous group. But unlike the previous ones, their aura was far more menacing, their presence exuding a level of terror that sent a chill through the air.

The suited man chuckled, a mocking glint in his eyes.

“You’re quite impressive.”

His eyes swept across the people before finally landing on Allison, who was standing behind the others.

“If I remember correctly, you’re Ms. Clarke, aren’t you? I have no interest in making this difficult. Hand over Lilyana, and we can avoid unnecessary trouble.”

Allison’s expression remained unreadable.

“Don’t even think about it.”

“Heh, quite arrogant, aren’t you?” Without hesitation, he snapped his fingers. “Cut off their escape and finish them all.”

The moment the words left his mouth, gunfire erupted.

Allison moved like lightning, striking with relentless precision. Her attacks were too fast, forcing the enemy to fall back step by step. However, there were too many of them. And they had already begun to treat her with complete caution.

“Ms. Clarke, I didn’t expect you to be this strong. Quite impressive, I must say.”

The suited man’s eyes gleamed with intrigue as he watched her. He hadn’t anticipated that she could take on so many of his men alone. If this had been a one-on-one fight, he wasn’t even sure that he could beat her.

A slow, eerie grin spread across his face.

“But this is where it ends. No matter how skilled you are, you’ll run out of energy sooner or later.”

Allison didn’t hesitate. She raised her gun and pulled the trigger. “Then try me.”

Though she spoke with calm and firmness, she could feel exhaustion creeping in. Her stamina was running low. Swiftly, she ducked behind a pillar, using the brief moment to catch her breath.
