Chapter 1304:
Lilyana nodded. âDo you need any help?â
âThank you, but that wonât be necessary. I can deal with him on my own.â Kellan narrowed his eyes slightly. âItâs time to end this.â
Allison knew that when Kellan spoke with such certainty, the outcome was already decided.
She turned to Fabian and Lilyana with a thoughtful smile.
âDad, Mom⦠donât you think itâs time for your own ceremony? Maybe this is the perfect chance.â
Fabian and Lilyana exchanged glances.
âWe had a wedding back then. But we never had a honeymoon. Maybe we should take one now. Weâll leave next week.â
Allison beamed.
âThatâs perfect! Youâll be back just in time for our wedding.â
For the first time in a long while, she felt a deep sense of peace, surrounded by family, love, and happiness. She was no longer the girl who had to fight alone, always on guard against anyone approaching her.
She only wished that this moment could last forever.
A week later, Allison and Kellan returned to Ontdale. The moment they stepped into the grand estate of the Lloyd family, they saw that Brook was already waiting. He had been there for quite some time.
âKellan, youâre finally back!â
A practiced smile stretched across Brookâs face, its warmth entirely manufactured.

âI heard you went through something incredibly dangerous. Itâs a relief to see you return safe and sound.â
Gone was the outright hostility he once held. Now, his gaze brimmed with something far more insidious â cunning, calculation, and quiet ambition.
Allisonâs background was no longer a secret. Word had spread that she was the sole heir to the Dibya Group, her wealth surpassing that of every young man and woman from those wealthy families in Ontdale combined. If she married into the Lloyd family, they could leverage her fortune to propel the Lloyd Group to even greater heights.
Kellan saw right through Brookâs sudden change of demeanor. It all boiled down to profit.
A smirk tugged at his lips. âWhat are you doing here?â
âIâm here to welcome you, of course.â
Brookâs gaze flickered to Allison, his entire demeanor shifting to one of exaggerated cordiality.
âI also heard Kellan had proposed to you, Ms. Clarke. An occasion so significant, yet he never thought to inform me.â
With a chuckle, he leaned on his cane, feigning an air of authority. âMs. Clarke, youâre intelligent and beautiful, and now youâll be part of the Lloyd family. What a joyous occasion.â
Allison, however, had no interest in playing along.
