Chapter 1307:
Kellan, who had always been easy to manipulate in his eyes, had become extremely strong. Brook hadnât even noticed the change.
Kellan was no longer a pawn to be used, nor was he the obedient son who once craved his fatherâs approval. He had severed all ties to the so-called father-son relationship.
âKellan, youâve got some nerve!â
Rage flared in Brookâs eyes. In a fit of anger, he attempted to snatch his cane back, intending to teach his son a lesson.
But Kellan applied even more pressure, twisting the cane with such force that Brook lost his balance and collapsed to the floor.
âYouâve crossed the line!â Brook bellowed, his face twisted with fury.
He turned his head, barking out commands.
âSomebody get in here! Teach this ungrateful brat a lesson!â
No matter how loudly Brook shouted, no one responded. Even those who heard him from outside chose to ignore him, unwilling to get involved.
âMr. Lloyd, you might as well save your breath,â Allison advised, her tone laced with indifference as she stood side by side with Kellan. Allison knew that Brook deserved to die. She stood tall, her voice cold and unyielding.
âThe Lloyd family answers only to Kellan now. No matter how loudly you scream, no one will come to your rescue. Youâve lost everything. Especially now that you have become a disgraced man. If you check your phone, youâll see that your crimes and illegal dealings are all over the news. Youâve already been condemned by the world.â
Every word Allison said was ruthlessly cruel.
âWeâve severed all ties with you. Youâre completely alone, and no one will lift a finger to help you.â

Hearing these words, Brook completely went crazy. The reality of his downfall shattered what little composure he had left.
âYou wretched woman! I knew it was you who turned my son against me!â he bellowed.
Gripping his cane, he swung it toward Allison in a fit of fury. But before he could land a blow, the police stormed into the Lloyd estate. Within seconds, Brook was wrestled to the floor, his cane ripped from his grasp.
âMr. Lloyd, comply with the investigation immediately!â one of the officers ordered.
A pair of handcuffs clicked around his wrists.
âYou have repeatedly violated the law, engaged in corrupt practices, and resorted to unfair competition. The evidence is overwhelming, and thereâs no escaping this.â
Brook thrashed against their grip, his voice laced with desperation. âThis is outrageous! The Lloyd Group is the backbone of Ontdaleâs economy! You canât just arrest me like this!â
But the investigator remained unfazed.
âWe have solid proof, and your own son was the informant. I suggest you cooperate.â
Brookâs breathing turned erratic. Panic clawed at his chest. âNo! I refuse to accept this!â His words tumbled out in frantic succession. âEven if I have some illegal behavior, our company pays more taxes than other companies. Thatâs a contribution to the country! And those so-called unfair business tactics? That was years ago! If I hadnât pushed for land development back then, Ontdale wouldnât be where it is today!â
