Chapter 1310:
Floyd had known this truth for a long time, yet his heart still felt unbearably heavy.
Now, the moment had comeâhe had to let go of Allison.
Beneath the gleam of his gold-rimmed glasses, his expression softened, though a shadow of emotion still lingered in his eyes.
âI heard you found your parents. Congratulations.â
âThank you.â She gracefully lifted her hand, her lips curling into a smile.
The diamond ring on her finger sparkled under the light as she gave it a slight shake.
âFloyd, the things you should congratulate me on arenât just one, right?â
âOf course.â Floyd forced a smile, burying the emotions that threatened to surface.
His eyes, however, did not lieâthey held nothing but sincerity.
âAllison, I truly wish you happiness.â
Those words came straight from his heart.
Even if the one bringing her happiness wasnât him, it didnât matter.
With that, Floyd shifted his gaze to Kellan, who stood beside her.
âMr. Lloyd, I hope you can take good care of Allison. If you ever make her feel the slightest bit wronged, I wonât hesitate to take her away from you.â
Allison let out a soft laugh at that.
She turned to Kellan with amusement in her eyes.
âDid you hear that?â
Kellan intertwined his fingers with hers, his grip firm yet gentle.
âDr. Pierce, donât worry. That will never happen. Iâll definitely treat Allison better than anyone else can.â
âYou better remember this moment and never go back on your word.â

Floyd shrugged, his tone light yet carrying a hint of seriousness.
âLomaâs asleep. Iâll take you to see Kinslee first.â
With that, he led Allison and Kellan toward Kinsleeâs recovery room. Upon reaching the door, Floyd raised his hand and gave it a few firm knocks.
âMrs. Lloyd, the people youâve been waiting to see are finally back.â
Knowing that they needed their space, he stepped aside and quietly left.
Allison and Kellan pushed the door open together.
Inside, Kinslee sat knitting a sweater, her hands moving with practiced precision. Upon hearing the sound, she appeared momentarily puzzled, as if unsure of what had just occurred.
A bright smile spread across her face as she quickly stood up.
âYou two are finally back. Come here, let me have a good look at you.â
Arm in arm, Allison and Kellan walked over, warmth evident in their eyes.
Allison smiled.
âKinslee, how have you been feeling lately?â
âIâve been doing well. Dr. Pierce takes excellent care of me.â
After a brief pause, Kinslee asked, concern evident in her voice.
âAnd how have you two been?â
She had heard about what happened in Vrining and knew that Allison had found her biological parents.
