Chapter 508:

âExcellent!â Andres grinned, though there was a glint of something darker in his eyes. âThe high-stakes contract between the two of you is now officially binding!â
Holding up the contract, he showcased it to the crowd, stoking the excitement in the room to a near frenzy.
Cheers and whistles erupted, voices mingling with the thrill of the moment.
âI canât believe Iâm seeing Amor in action! Sheâs practically a legend!â
âExactly, she used to run casinos in several foreign countries and faced many challengers. Guess what? She never lost!â
âIâm dying to know what kind of game theyâll be playingâ¦â
Suddenly, someone gasped. âLook! Mr. Vargas is here!â
Instantly, the noise died down. Those who had been shouting moments ago fell silent, their gazes snapping toward the entrance like deer caught in headlights.
Even Andres, usually unfazed, straightened up, his face serious.
He directed a respectful nod toward the entrance. âMr. Vargas.â
Allison followed the direction of their gaze, her curiosity piqued as she took in the man entering the room.
Dressed in a black coat, flanked by bodyguards, he appeared to be in his thirties. His cold, composed expression contrasted with the casual way he moved, though every detail about him â from his leather-gloved hands to the emerald ring on his index finger â hinted at a commanding presence.
As he stepped further into the room, he smoothly removed his coat, which Andres quickly received with a bow. âAs mentioned earlier, sir, Amor and Scarlet Snake have set their stakes.â
The man responded with a casual âHmm.â
The crowd instinctively parted to let him through, no one daring to look too closely.
When he finally stopped, he offered the crowd a small, almost courteous smile.
âEnjoy yourselves,â he said smoothly, âbut donât overstep.â
Though his words were simple, the subtle chill in his gaze made everyone avert their eyes. The gamblers here were astute enough to see the warning and immediately turned away, afraid to look any closer.
Allisonâs interest deepened.
This man was Kylo Vargas â the elusive owner of Muisvedo. Even Cobweb, her organization, knew very little about him.
âSir, long time no see,â Amor greeted, approaching him with a smile. Her usual arrogance softened into rare deference.
âIndeed, it has been a while,â Kylo replied, his smile unchanged. Then his eyes drifted to Allison.
âAnd you must be Miss Scarlet Snake. A pleasure to meet you.â His voice was deep, carrying a relaxed yet commanding tone. As their gazes locked, Allison found herself studying him as much as he studied her.
In the light, his eyes gleamed with a striking, almost animalistic hue â both mesmerizing and unnerving.
