Chapter 642:
Allisonâs smile grew. Kellan was fiercely possessive. Even with Colton out of her life, Kellan clearly couldnât tolerate his presence. His words were a clear declaration, staking his claim on her. She loved this side of him, she admitted.
Playfully, Allison tugged on Kellanâs tie, drawing his head down to place a soft kiss on his Adamâs apple, near a small mole that made his skin look even more tempting.
Meanwhile, Coltonâs voice brimmed with contempt. âMr. Lloyd, youâre dreaming if you think Allison would want someone like you. Sheâs always been into me. If sheâs with you now, itâs just to get under my skin.â
Ordinarily, Kellan would have fired back without a second thought. But with Allisonâs lips warm against his skin, her breath brushing over him, he barely held himself together, his body taut with restraint.
âIs that so?â His voice was a low, almost primal growl. âI donât care about the past. Only the present matters.â
His words grew thick with emotion, tinged with a darker, huskier tone. âAllison and I are together now. If you harass her again, donât say I didnât warn youâ¦â
He couldnât finish. A deep, involuntary sound escaped him, like a sudden surge of electricity had coursed through his body, leaving him dizzy with sensation.
Kellanâs eyes darkened with unrestrained intensity as he pulled Allison close, kissing her deeply, all thoughts of Colton forgotten.
âWhat did you say?â Coltonâs voice demanded, laced with growing rage.
But Kellan didnât reply. His words had been cut off; instead, Colton caught a faint, intimate sound â a soft, provocative murmur that left him momentarily speechless.
It was subtle, fleeting, but powerful enough to hit him like a slap. He paused, straining to hear, wondering if heâd imagined it. âIs Allison with you?â he finally snapped, frustration leaking into his voice.
Kellan chuckled lowly, a sound laced with amusement and confidence. âAnd if she is?â
The disdain in his voice was unmistakable.
âYouâ¦â
Without waiting for a reply, Kellan ended the call.
With the phone screen now dark, Kellanâs focus returned to Allison. Heâd affirmed that Allison was his, and that was enough.
âAllison,â he murmured, his gaze heavy as he looked up at her seated on his lap.
She met his eyes with a teasing smile.
âWhatâs wrong?â she echoed, mocking his own serious tone.
Desire surged within him. He leaned in, eyes fixed on her lips, about to kiss her when she playfully held him back with a finger.
âMr. Lloyd, were you jealous during that call?â
âYes. Iâm very jealous of him.â Kellanâs voice was low and magnetic, his eyes stormy with raw emotion. âI wish Iâd met you sooner.â
