Chapter 714:
Under the stark, white light, Allisonâs beauty was almost otherworldly, like a figure carved from marble. Yashiro stared at her, half convinced she was bluffing.
Allison tilted her head slightly, her lips curving into a cold smirk. âIâm suggesting you show a bit more kindness,â she said, her tone light but laced with menace.
She gestured casually toward his blind side, her eyes glinting with a quiet threat. âBecause if you donât, the next thing you lose wonât stop at an eye.â
Yashiroâs fury erupted like a storm as he heard Allisonâs harsh words, his voice booming. âWhat on earth did you just say?â Few things rattled him more than remarks about his missing eye. The woman before him had struck a nerve, and with rage boiling over, he lunged forward, his fist cutting through the air, aimed straight at Allison.
Yet, as if fate played a cruel joke, Allisonâs hands, once bound, were somehow free.
With the agility of a cat, she sidestepped his blow, and her palm connected with his face in a resounding slap, leaving him spitting blood onto the cold floor.
âNot only are you heartless,â she said, shaking her wrist as if testing its readiness. âBut youâve got no manners either, hitting a woman. Looks like you drew the shortest straw by crossing paths with me.â
Yashiro froze, clutching his throbbing cheek, disbelief painted across his face. A woman â a mere woman â had dared to strike him.
Fuming, he yanked the gun from his waistband and pointed it at Allison, his hand trembling with rage.
âDo you even know what youâre doing, you bastard? Iâve been using guns since before you could tell the barrel from the butt!â But before he could fire, Allisonâs movements blurred like a shadow in the moonlight. Her hand clamped onto his wrist with iron precision.
Her other hand pressed firmly on the safety catch, rendering the weapon useless.
Her speed was uncanny, like thunder striking without warning, leaving him utterly paralyzed.
âThis cannot be real!â Yashiro stammered, his disbelief painted across his scarred face.
He prided himself on being the fastest shot in the room, but here she was, shattering that illusion in an instant.
In a flash, Allison drove her elbow into his jaw with the force of a sledgehammer.
âUghâ¦â A guttural groan escaped his lips as two of his teeth flew out, accompanied by a crimson spray of blood. He crumpled to the floor, his voice weak and desperate. âHelp⦠someone⦠help meâ¦â
