Chapter 932:
She leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs in a relaxed manner. âNow, tell us where Daniel is and anything else you know. If not, next time, I wonât stop at just your tendon.â Kellanâs presence was heavy, his mood thick with menace.
âYouâre too soft, Allison. If it were me, I wouldâve just broken his legs.â
Their light conversation made the manâs vision swim. Whether it was from the pain or the fear, he couldnât tell. He came to realize that this couple was far more frightening than any mafia.
âDaniel is currently⦠in a castle in Vrining. Itâs on an island in the middle of a lake, well-guarded, and only a few people are allowed inside,â the man gasped, using his blood to sketch a rough map.
It was obvious that his legs were beyond saving. Even if he somehow survived, he would be useless to Daniel â a dead end for him.
âHe wants the Hackerâs World key and the smart chip you have,â the man admitted, giving up on any more tricks.
He looked at Allison with a serious expression. âThatâs everything I know.â
The Hackerâs World key?
Kellan frowned. It made sense there was some link between Allison and Hackerâs World, but he hadnât expected her to have the key. After everything that had happened, though, he wasnât shocked.

Allison, however, paid more attention to his last statement.
âSmart chip?â
She absentmindedly tapped her knee, lost in thought. She recalled that Lilian had mentioned it too. But she knew the chip wasnât with her.
So, Daniel knew about her mother but was looking for the wrong person.
âLooks like Daniel didnât learn a thing after barely escaping with his life,â she sneered. âI thought heâd be smarter, but he still dares to challenge me.â
Kellan cracked his knuckles. âAllison, I think heâs lying. Should we just kill him?â
At Kellanâs suggestion, the manâs breath caught in his throat. âMs. Clarke, I swear Iâve told you everything. Iâm not lying!â
Allison watched him closely, convinced that he was being honest. âAlright, you can go.â
The man froze for a moment, clearly taken aback by how easily he was being let off. But now, unable to walk, he could only crawl away. âReally?â
âI keep my promises, unlike your boss,â Allison said, nodding. A flicker of hope sparked in the manâs mind, and his thoughts began to race.
He couldnât help but glance at Allison. Even if he managed to crawl away alive, Daniel would still kill him. His only chance now was to complete his mission.
Allison noticed his hesitation and turned her attention back to him. âDo you have something else to say?â
The man paused, then nervously stammered, âI remembered something, but itâs something I need to tell you alone, Ms. Clarke.â
