Leo woke up at 6:31am and rubbed his eyes. He made his way downstairs and grabbed a glass of orange juice, to help wake himself up. He really enjoyed meeting Oliver yesterday and wanted to have another play date with him again when they were both little. He put a slice of bread in the toaster and got the jam out of the cupboard to put on his toasted bread. He got out a plate and sat at the table with a slice of toast and a glass of orange juice. About 20 minutes later, Leo heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Finn walked into the kitchen "Good morning, how long have you been up for?" He asks. "Morning, I've not been up long" Leo replies mumbling and yawning. "Have you had breakfast?" Finn asks. "Just a slice of jam on toast" Leo spoke quietly. "Do you want to go out and get something? You can choose, but if you're not hungry then that's fine" Finn suggests. "Yeah sure, let's go to Mcdonalds" Leo says. They both got ready and made their way into Finn's car.
"Can I get pancakes?" Leo asks Finn trying hard not to slip. "Of course you can," Finn replies as he starts the car and drives off. "Do you also want a milkshake?" "Strawberry" Leo exclaims excitedly. Finn chuckles slightly as Leo jumps in his seat. They both eventually got to the closest Mcdonalds "Do you want to eat in or drive through?" Finn asks. "In" Leo replies smiling with bright eyes, Finn nodded and they both got out of the car. Leo held onto Finn's hand and they walked inside. Both of them walked up to the electronic board and ordered their food to eat in and sat at a table that was free.
Eventually their food was brought to them and Leo had the biggest smile on his face. "Finny, it here" Leo exclaimed, clapping his hands. "Oh wow, that was quick wasn't it" Finn said gasping. Leo nodded and giggled. "If you need any help, let me know," Finn adds. "Tank ou" Leo replies. Leo began drinking his strawberry milkshake and was jumping up and down in his seat. He opened the pancakes and tapped Finn's arm. "Help," he says, pointing to the syrup pot. Finn opens it and pours it all over the 3 pancakes in front of Leo. "Tank ou Finny" "You're welcome, would you like some help cutting them?" He asks and Leo nods. After cutting the pancakes into bite size pieces Leo took the fork of Finn and began eating the small pancake slices.
A little while later, Leo finishes and puts the fork down. He drinks the milkshakes and then begins to wiggle in his seat. He had no protection on him and he was too scared to say anything to Finn. "You alright bud?" Finn asks, Leo shook his head and held his stomach. "Do you need the toilet?" Finn says quietly and Leo aggressively nods and they grab everything and rush to the toilets. Luckily they get there before any accidents happen. Finn let out a sigh of relief and kept an eye on Leo. "I done" Leo says, making grabby hands. "Okay let's get you all cleaned and put a diaper on you to make sure no accidents happen" Finn explains.
They both walked out of the toilets and made their way back to the car to go back home. Finn buckled up Leo as he grabbed the pacifier in the glove box and gave it to Leo. He put it in his mouth as Finn started the car and slowly started to fall asleep. He held his stuffie close to him and Finn made sure to keep a close eye on him. There was somewhere else Finn was going to take him but that was a surprise, it was the zoo. Finn knew that Leo loves animals and always has since they were children. He drove another hour from Mcdonalds, Leo woke up 45 minutes later feeling much smaller and not feeling verbal. "Bah" Leo says, rubbing his eyes as he yawns and drops his paci. Small cries began as Leo wanted his pacifier back but he couldn't reach. "Leo, what's wrong?" Finn says as he pulls over. "Bah bah" Leo says as he points to Finn's seat. Finn gets out of the car and looks in the back and finds Leo's paci under the driver seat. "Is this what you wanted?" "Da bah" Leo replies, making grabby hands for the paci. Finn rinsed it off with water from his water bottle, making sure that there was no dirt left on it. He handed it back to Leo and he slipped it in his mouth and giggled.
Finn continued to drive and all he could hear was Leo's babbles in the back of the car. He smiled and 15 minutes later they pulled into the car park of the zoo. Leo's eyes widened and glistened. "Ma ba" Leo squeals excitedly as he points to the sign. "That's right, the zoo" Finn says as he gets Leo's little bag out of the car and picks Leo up. Leo held onto his stuffie and kept his pacifier in his mouth. Finn got them tickets and they began making their way around the park. Leo didn't want to walk so Finn kept hold of him. "Are you excited? We can get a new stuffie before we go as well if you're a good boy" Finn explains. "Da da bah" Leo says. Finn gasps in shock from what Leo said. "So you wanna go there first then?" "Mhm ba" Leo replies.
Both of them made their way over to the elephants which were Leo's favourite animals. His eyes shone as a massive smile grew on his face. He pointed at them "Ba ba da" he said, bouncing in Finn's arms. "That's right buddy, it's an elephant. They are your favourite aren't they?" Finn says smiling. Leo didn't reply and was mesmerised by the elephant approaching him. He held onto Lola and he made eye contact with the elephant and his pacifier nearly fell out of his mouth but luckily Finn caught it in time. "Ma" Leo says, waving as the elephant walks away from them both. Leo and Finn made their way around the zoo and it was 5pm. Finn knew it was time for them to go home, and they could go into the gift shop so Leo could pick out a new stuffie. "Gift shop time, then we can go home and have dinner" Finn says and Leo lets out a sleepy nod. They walked in the gift shop and Leo had his eyes glued to an elephant stuffie, he pointed to it and nodded. Finn went and paid and they both got back into the car. Finn put Leo's pacifier in his mouth and he started to drift to sleep while he was being buckled in. Leo held onto both of his elephant stuffies, Finn was wondering what the new one was going to be called. It was a perfect day.
