The next morning at about 4am, Leo woke Finn up while shaking him aggressively. "Finny, pwease wake up, '' Leo said, sobbing. Finn woke up in a shock, "Leo, what's wrong?" Finn says, panicking. "Scary" Leo responds, dragging Finn to his room. "Monstwer" Leo pointed under his bed. Finn looks under and does see anything but Leo's stuffie. Finn pulls the stuffie out from under the bed. "Lola!" Leo says giggling. "See nothing to worry about," Finn said, rubbing his eyes. "How about we go back to bed, hm?" Finn yawned, Leo nodded and followed Finn. "With Finny" Leo says as he climbs into Finn's bed snuggling up to him. Finn kisses him on the head and smiles, drifting back to sleep.
Finn woke up at 7am and saw that Leo was still sleeping. He smiled and got out of bed, making his way downstairs to make breakfast. Finn decided to make fried eggs and toast this morning. He heated up the oil and put the eggs in the pan. Finn knew that Leo liked his eggs well done and crispy. Finn kept Leo's eggs in the pan while he stuck white bread in the toaster. He got Leo a plastic plate out and put the toast on the plate and then got the eggs out of the oil and dried them off. And placed them on top of the toast then grabbed ketchup and put it on top of the eggs.
Finn heard little footsteps coming down the stairs, Leo walked in the kitchen with his stuffie and his blankie in his arms. "Morning buddy" Finn said smiling and he put the plate on the table. Leo didn't reply and rubbed his eyes taking a seat at the table. "I've got something to tell you" Finn says which makes Leo lift his head up quickly. "Oliver and Lia are coming over for a playdate later today" Finn explains. "Weally?" Leo replies, growing a massive smile on his face. "Yep, they are coming over after lunch time" Finn adds. Leo gets up out of his chair and jumps up and down forgetting about his breakfast. "Come on bud, let's eat breakfast and get ready for when Oliver and Lia come over" Finn says and Leo sits back at the table eating his breakfast.
10am, Leo was setting everything up so he didn't have to rush before Oliver and Lia came over. He was really excited to see Oliver again. Leo got out his tea set and set loads of stuffies in a circle. He went downstairs and saw Finn in the kitchen preparing snacks. "Finny tans you fill tis up pwease?" Leo says, passing him the tea pot. "Of course, I can. Do you want apple juice in it?" Finn asked as Leo nodded. "Okay I'll bring it up to you once I've filled it up," Finn says. Leo rushes back upstairs to finish setting everything up. He grabs colouring books and crayons from his drawer and puts them at the small plastic table that sat in his room. Finn walked up the stairs to give Leo the teapot full of apple juice. "Be careful we don't want it spilling" Finn says, passing it carefully to Leo. "Tank ou" Leo replies smiling.
11:30am, Leo was sitting downstairs eating his ham and cheese sandwich while Finn was making sure that everything was tidy and clean. The doorbell rang and Leo jumped out of his seat. "Baby, finish your sandwich and I'll see who's at the door," Finn says as Leo makes his way back to the chair to sit down. Leo continues his sandwich and drinks his juice.
"Hello there" Finn says, letting Oliver and Lia in the house. "Leo's just eating the rest of his lunch, he shouldn't be long" Finn explains to Oliver as he nodded. Leo puts his plastic plate on the counter and rushes to the hallway to see Lia and Oliver. A wide bright smile grew on his face. "Oli, Oli. Oli here Finny" Leo exclaims jumping around with joy. Oliver hides behind Lia for a bit. âItâs okay sweetie, you can come outâ Lia says smiling as Oliver looks at her and nods. âWhy donât you both go to Leoâs room? He has set up a tea party for you bothâ Finn suggests, Leo takes Oliverâs hand and takes him upstairs.
They both got to Leoâs room and Leo began to jump up and down in excitement. âTans I sit here?â Oliver asks, being shy as Leo nods and they both sit down. âWhat colors do you want?â Leo shows Oliver all the different coloured cups he had. He pointed to the pink cup. Leo passed Oliver the pink cup and he took the blue one for himself. "Do yous want apple juice?" Leo asks. "Yes pwease" Oliver replies as Leo pours Oli some apple juice in his cup and then pours himself some. "Finny made some snackies and they are downswairs, if you wanted some?" Leo says and Oliver just nods. "Tanks ou for juice" Oliver mumbles. "Do ous want a stuffie to hug?" Leo questions. "Tan I hold dat one?" Oliver asks pointing to a big giraffe stuffie. Leo passes him the stuffie and Oliver grew a massive smile on his face. Leo rocked back and forth while sitting down and started to drink his apple juice. They both spoke to each other and began yawning and rubbing their eyes. Oliver drifted off to sleep first and laid down on the floor. Leo made his way next to Oliver and slept next to him as they both held their stuffies.
Lia and Finn both knew that their littles were being too quiet so they decided to check on them. They both made their way up the stairs and walked to Leoâs bedroom. Finn opened the door and saw that both of the boys were asleep next to each other. Lia and Finn grabbed their phones and snapped a few photos. Finn went over to Leoâs bed and grabbed a blanket big enough for them both and placed it over the top of them. Lia and Finn made their way out of the room and closed the door slightly making their way back downstairs. âThey are very good friends, arenât they?â Lia spoke. âYeah, Leo always goes on about how he misses you bothâ Finn replies laughing. Both of them went back into the living room and sat down on the sofa watching a comedy show that was on the TV.
A couple of hours went by and Oliver and Leo made their way downstairs into the living room. Leo held onto his stuffie and blanket and Oliver had the stuffie he held when he was sleeping. âHad a nice nap sleepy headsâ Lia asks. âMama, tans i hav baba?â Oliver spoke. âOf course baby, come here I'll get the bottle out of the fridge and heat it up for you.â Lia got up and picked Oliver up and took him to the kitchen to get his bottle. âYou have a nice nap?â Finn asks Leo. âDada, âm sweepyâ Leo replies as Finnâs eyes widened at Leo calling him âdadaâ. Leo climbed onto the couch and sat next to Finn cuddling up to him. âAre you feeling really tiny bud?â Finn questions as Leo nods, which explains why he called him âdadaâ. It wasnât a bad thing, he was glad that Leo felt more comfortable now so he wasnât going to question it. âDo you want anything to eat or drink buddy?â âMilkyâ Leo whispers. âAlright then, letâs go to the kitchen and get you someâ Finn picks Leo up and takes him into the kitchen where they bump into Lia and Oliver.
âIâm guessing that Oliver woke up feeling really small too.â Finn says. âYep, Leo did too, didn't he?â Lia asks. âYeah, just grabbing him a drink,â Finn said, getting a bottle out of the cupboard and pouring milk into it, then putting it in the microwave for 30 seconds. He took it out of the microwave and they all walked back to the living room. Oliver and Leo were on their caregiverâs laps as they were being fed their milk. Leo began to close his eyes due to feeling sleepy still. Oliver was wide awake and looking at Lia and she kissed his forehead. âCome on baby, you canât fall asleep itâs late. You won't go to bed tonightâ Finn says brushing his hand through Leoâs hair. Both of the boys finished their bottles and Finn wasnât sure on what to do now since he saw that Leo was uncomfortable. âI think he might need burpingâ Lia suggests, Finn nods and picks him up and begins rubbing and patting his back. âI should probably look up some stuff, Iâm still not sure of everything yetâ Finn chuckles awkwardly. âItâs alright you will get there in the end, it took me a while to figure everything outâ Lia replies smiling as she places Oliver on the floor, Finn places Leo on the floor and they go over to each other and start playing again.
It was now 3:30pm, Lia and Oliver were leaving the house. âBye-byeâ Leo says and Oliver waves. âIâll message you laterâ Finn says to Lia as she nods. âSee you laterâ Lia spoke as she and Oliver went off to the car. Finn closed the front door, he placed Leo on the floor and he crawled away into the kitchen. Finn went into the kitchen, since he needed to start making dinner for the both of them.
