Chapter 138

1/1

Olivia stared at the number on the screen, realizing she hadn't called

Sandalwood Palace or let anyone know where she was. Even so, she

wondered why this prompted Tyler to call Claude.

She checked her own phone and saw multiple missed calls from Tyler.

Looking up at Claude, she saw him decline the call before she could

stop him. “No! Why did you do that?!"

“I'l call him later.”

“Maybe he’s calling for me?” she asked hesitantly.

“You didn't tell him you're coming here?”

Her face turned pale. She tried calling Tyler back but couldn't get

through. She tried again and again.

Claude held her hand, stopping her. “It's okay. Nothing bad will

happen. Calling him later will be just

like calling him now.”

She looked at him anxiously.

“Come on, let's eat before the noodles get cold. I'll take you home

after.”

Olivia relaxed and continued eating. Claude cleaned up a bit and was

about to turn off the lights when they heard a car approaching. They

looked outside and saw Tyler's car's headlights.

Olivia recognized it and was stunned. Why was he here?

Claude's hand froze on the light switch, casting them in light.

Tyler's car stayed still Steam rose from the hood as the headlights

illuminated them. After a couple of minutes, Tyler finally got out of the

car and looked at them.

Olivia shifted nervously as she met his gaze. Claude smiled, about to

say something when Tyler marched toward him and punched him in the

face.

Claude fell to the ground.

Olivia was too stunned to speak, covering her trembling lips.

Tyler, however, didn't think it was enough. He grabbed Claude by the

collar.

Alarmed, Olivia rushed to stop him. “No! Listen! I asked Claude to

bring me back to Sereneville for this! I accidentally missed your call,

that's why! Please don't hit him!”

Tyler ignored her. “Have you forgotten what I told you? Do you really

think you can just pretend nothing's happened? Have you forgotten

what you've done, Claude Pearce?!”
