Chapter 246

“Just someone insignificant,” Tyler said to Olivia with a casual tone,

“Are you up?”

His voice had a unique sound that was both deep and slightly nasal,

which Olivia found really pleasant to hear.

“Yeah, I'm awake,” she responded, pulling her blanket closer.

Tyler came over and sat next to her on the bed. “Are you hungry? Do

you want something to eat?”

“I'm okay,” she said. She was feeling a bit shy about how she acted the

previous night, wondering if she had lost her mind.

Tyler, however, seemed completely at ease. “You haven't been eating

much.”

Olivia knew she needed to eat, especially for the baby’s health, which

was still uncertain. This time, she agreed more strongly, “Yes, I'll have

something.”

As things happened too suddenly last night, Tyler hadn't changed his

clothes from the day before. He was still wearing his black suit and

white shirt, which made him look sharp and stylish.

He chuckled. “Okay, I'll have some food brought over.”

Olivia wanted to stay in bed to keep the baby safe and limit her

movement.

When the food arrived, Tyler gave her the fork and suggested, “The

seafood omelet is good. Try it.

Olivia noticed his hands as he held the fork; they were strong and

defined. She started. eating the omelet he mentioned.

Tyler sat close, watching her eat with a calm expression. Olivia took

small bites, almost like a kitten. Even though Tyler's gaze was steady,

there was something captivating

about it.

Just then, Linda entered. “Sir, you're needed at Pinnacle Group today.”

Hearing this, Olivia looked up. Tyler calmly told her, “Stay here at the

hospital. I have some things to take care of.”

Olivia understood he had work commitments during this trip. “Mm—

hmm, go ahead.”

After Tyler left, Linda handed him some papers to review. As he flipped

through them, Linda received a call.

“It's Michael, sir.”

Michael Cox was the father of Gina and the president of Averie Co.

Tyler took the phone, and Michael's voice came through. “I hope I'm not

disturbing you, Mr. Tyler. I've been meaning to invite you over since

you're in town, but I didn’t want to impose.”

Tyler responded, dismissing the formalities. “We're practically family.

We've had a strong partnership over the years.”

Averie Co. had been supplying goods to Pinnacle Group. The Harris

family had a legacy in politics and business, spanning various sectors:

property, healthcare, finance, technology, education, and tourism.

Pinnacle Group was a billion—dollar enterprise that depended on local

supplies from Averie Co. With its huge profits, Averie Co. aimed to be

the sole supplier. Their close relationship was based on mutual benefits

and ongoing discussions about new ventures.

Michael ended with a personal note, “This is all thanks to your support

for me, Mr. Tyler, “emphasizing the “me” instead of saying “us.”
