Chapter 495: Chapter 498

“Finn, you’re just being honey–lipped. With so many things you keep from me, I can’t tell if you really want to marry me or not!”

Lilia turned her head to the side angrily, brushing aside Finn, who was standing next to the window.

“Nonsense. Lilia, I love you the most.” Finn hurried to walk around the car, pulled open the door, and sat in.

“You can stop talking. I am not listening.” Noticing that Finn was in the car, Lilia turned her head to the other side, leaving Finn staring at the back of her head.

Finn had to resort to food, which always managed to tempt Lilia. “I know you’re angry, but you still need to eat, right? You know what? I’ve reserved a table in your favorite restaurant already.”

“Hmph, I won’t eat it. I’ll buy a plane ticket now!” Lilia turned him down right off. But her stomach, which was rumbling, betrayed herself.

Finn chuckled as he reached out and wrapped his arm around Lilia’s slender waist mischievously.

“Let me guess. What is your stomach rumbling for?”

“Don’t touch me!” Lilia slapped his hand angrily, feeling both shy and embarrassed.

But Finn acted as if he did not hear her and tightened his arms around her petite body.

“Lilia, I am begging you. Let’s go have a meal. Don’t starve yourself. Or I will feel bad.”

Finn leaned against Lilia and whispered into her ear with a deep exhalation.

“Then I guess I’ll have to say yes, despite being reluctant.” Lilia went numb as if she had been electrocuted.

Finn then brought Lilia to the restaurant. Since it had been such a long time since they last dined together, the two kept fixing each other with an affectionate gaze while they were eating.

Finn kept picking up food for Lilia nonstop. Thanks to that, Lilia didn’t stop eating all the while, with her cheeks bulging with food.

Even so, Lilia, being long–winded, kept asking, “What exactly is going on with Brandon? You two really are brothers? Why do I keep feeling that he is difficult?”

“How is that possible? Lilia, it’s all in your mind.” Finn picked up some food for Lilia once again.

Meanwhile, Finn didn’t eat much himself because he suffered from loss of appetite and digestive problems due to his illness.

But Lilia didn’t notice that since she was used to being pampered like this by Finn. Right now, all she could think of was Brandon.

“Finn, I really don’t think that Brandon is a good person. You have to be cautious about him.”

Hearing that, Finn came up with a plan. Then he said naturally, “In that case, I have to advise you you a bit. If Brandon reaches out to you alone, don’t buy anything he says, okay?”

“Alright.” Lilia nodded obediently. Of course, she would choose to trust Finn over a stranger she had just met.

However, since curiosity was human nature, Lilia still found Brandon very interesting.

At that moment, a voice sounded from the door of the restaurant. A waiter was saying “welcome” to some customers.

Lilia, who was sitting at a spot where she could see the door, looked up. She found out that the waiter was greeting two beauties.

To be precise, they were two hot mothers.

One of them was a woman with long hair, who was holding a doll–like delicate baby girl in her arms. The baby, with chubby cheeks and a pair of bright big eyes, looked extremely cute.

The other short–haired woman was holding a boy in her hand. The boy was around five years old and looked exactly like Finn.

A glance at them alone shocked Lilia greatly.

Lilia thought, what the hell is going on? First, it was Brandon at the airport, who looked identical to Finn.

Then it’s this boy!

Am I hallucinating?

Lilia closed her eyes for a while before opening them again. But nothing had changed. The boy still looked exactly the same as Finn!

“Lilia, what’s the matter?”

Finn noticed that something was off with Lilia. Therefore, he asked in a gentle voice immediately.

Lilia was still in a state of shock, unable to come back to her senses.

Finn then followed Lilia’s gaze and looked over. Noticing the two women, he frowned. “Savanna? Why is she here?”

“You know her?” Lilia was wondering why the child looked so similar to Finn. But much to her surprise, Finn actually knew the woman. Lilia felt a surge of anger right off.

Lilia, livid, jerked herself up from her chair. “Since you’ve met your former lover, go find her then. I guess it’s not the right time for me to come back. I’ll leave it to you now!”

Lilia picked up her handbag and turned around, only to bump into Savanna, who was walking over with the child in her arms under the escort of the waiter.

As the mother of two children, Savanna was suitably cautious when walking. Therefore, even though she was hit by Lilia’s head, she managed to react right away and move her child to the side acutely so as to avoid the child being squeezed.

By doing that, Savanna managed to protect herself and the child while asking elegantly, “Lady, are you alright?”

Actually, Lilia was not okay. Since she was lost in her anger, all she could think of was to leave.

Therefore, bumping into someone shocked her greatly, which then sprained her ankle a bit.

Now, with her ankle in pain and Finn’s former lover standing right in front of her, Lilia found herself in great misfortune.

“Do I look like I’m fine? Didn’t you do it purposely? Now that you’ve seen me like this, are you content now?”

Lilia was so angry that she lost her cool, acting in a way that was completely different from how she would normally behave.

Savanna was unhappy about being dissed like this for no reason. But she remained patient and asked, “Lady, I don’t think I have provoked you, right? What do you mean by saying this?”

“You know very well what you did,” Lilia blurted out without even thinking.

She thought that Savanna was Finn’s former lover. Plus, the child next to her looked exactly the same as Finn. All that suggested that she was here to provoke Lilia.

Janet, however, couldn’t stand it anymore. Therefore, she retorted straightforwardly.

“Lady, how interesting of you! My friend and I were just tired from shopping. That’s why we are here, resting while having a meal. And we just got in here! I can’t see how you were offended.”

Noticing that Lilia was faced with a dilemma, Finn walked out from the blind spot where he was.

“What happened?”

At the sight of Finn, Janet widened her eyes right off.

“Mr. Cassel?” She pointed at Finn and Lilia, who was next to Finn, so angrily that her hands were shaking. “What’s going on? Is she your mistress? Have you been unfaithful to Savanna all the while?”
