Chapter 22: 20. 𝓂𝒾𝓎𝒶𝑔𝒾-𝒹𝑜

"Sam?" I almost yelled while checking her text on my phone to make sure I had the right address.

I walked towards the back of the dojo just like she told me. The more I got closer the more I could hear Mr.LaRusso's nostalgic voice and Sam's laugh.

I looked around in awe. The whole place had a calming ambience to it which reflected perfectly what I needed right now. This dojo was the complete opposite of Cobra Kai.

"Y/n!" Sam took me out of my trance before signing to come over.

"Hey"I installed myself besides her. "This place is so beautiful..."

She softly smiled at my comment before Mr.LaRusso appeared from inside. he hadn't changed a bit.

"You coming Robby?" He glanced behind him before smiling at us. I suddenly grew nervous.

Robby?

I couldn't help but froze at the sight of him. What was he doing here? My throat dried up and my hands became shaky.

I think sam could see my nerves creeping up on me.

He guiltily avoided my eyes at all cost while he walked besides Sam who looked at him suspiciously.

"Hello students" Mr.LaRusso sighed happily at us.

"Excuse me?" A hesitant voice called.

Demetri?

"It was unclear if the the gate was the front door or is I was supposed to ring the doorbell." He pointed behind him while we all glanced over to him.

I missed his awkwardness.

"Is that a koi pond?" He asked curiously. "How much does it cost to maintain that?"

I tried my best to hold in my laugh while the others looked at him weirdly.

"Can I help you?" Mr.Larusso said confusingly.

"Um...yeah I wanna learn karate" He mumbled unsure.

My face and Mr.Larusso's lit up.

"You have come to the right place" He chuckled.

"What happened to your face?" I questioned while painting Mr.Larusso's fence like he asked us to.

"Well I tried going back to Cobra Kai" He sighed heavily.

"I was relieved when I saw that Johnny wasn't there anymore, turns out you're right... The other guy is way worse." He concentrated on his paint brush.

"He hurt you?" I stopped painting.

Demetri only looked down making me shake my head in disappointment. Of course he did.

"I hate that man, that's why I left, I'm starting over." I mumbled.

"How's Eli?" Demetri murmured out of the blue which made me even more upset.

My face fell down at his name. I took a deep breath.

"I wouldn't know" I continued painting, not wanting to talk about him.

Demetri noticed and changed the subject.

Today has been a success, Mr.LaRusso showed us a couple moves but mostly made us do "chores" like Demetri would've said.

I was packing my bag alone, inside the dojo when I heard steps coming towards me.

"Y/n?" Robby murmured. It surprised me that he even had the guts to go near me after what he did.

"What do you want Robby" I briskly turned to face him hiding any emotions and fear that suddenly came up.

"I know you don't want to talk to me, and I-I don't blame you at all. But you don't have to say anything just hear me out please y/n" He begged.

I crossed my arms and looked at him, waiting for what he's going to say next.

"I have absolutely no excuse for what I did I know it was wrong and I'll completely understand if you never want to see my face ever again. I was drunk out of my mind, I didn't even remember it happened. My crazy friends wouldn't stop threatening me if I didn't do something with you..."

I rolled my eyes before looking down.

"I know it sounds crazy y/n but those guys... they're dangerous, I've seen them beat guys into the hospital but I promise, I've changed. Since I started taking karate lessons I can now defend myself from them, and I'm living with Mr.laRusso now. I'm so so so sorry for what I did" He said starting to get out of breath.

"I know it doesn't excuse anything I did...I just wanted to apologize, I'm really sorry, I'm working so hard on changing I promise." He exhaled.

"Robby." I sighed heavily. "I'm not forgiving you fully,because what you did was wrong, but I understand that you're trying to change and I want to let go of all the hate I have inside of me."I nodded still apathetic.

His face lit up with a soft smile before he barely nodded.

"Bye Robby, see you next practice" I patted his shoulder while walking out.

"Bye y/n"

I closed my phone before throwing it across the bed. He frustrated me like never before. Who did he think he was treating me like complete shit and feeling bad because of it the day after?

I love him, I really do, but I'm not letting him pushing me around like this.

When we arrived, we all decided to get something to eat before all sitting together.

"Wait is today Wednesday?" Demetri's face lit up.

"um yeah" We all nodded.

"The new issue of Dungeon Lord came out!" He stood up swiftly before pointing at us. "Do you guys want anything from the comic book store?"

"Um no thanks" Robby laughed.

And just like that, Demetri ran to the comic book store like a excited little kid which made us all crack up.

While shopping with Sam and Robby, I saw from the corners of my eyes, all the way across the mall, a terrified Demetri being chased by a bunch of Cobra Kais, Eli being one of them.

I immediately saw red, my body filling up with anger and disappointment at the same time.

Without saying anything to my friends, I started sprinting towards them. Thankfully Demetri was still way ahead of them. I could hear the Cobras the closer I got.

"We don't have to do this" A boy I had never seen said to Eli worriedly. "I think he learned his lesson"

"Who the hell told you to think" Eli spat at the boy. "Fan out" He ordered the others before they all ran separate ways.

I followed Demetri while calling his name but it was useless. He was now headed to the eating tables where he had left us earlier. "Of course they left."

Demetri was now corned by the Cobras. I ran faster which I didn't even know was possible.

"It didn't have to be this way" Eli spoke in a deep voice. "You could've joined Cobra Kai if you weren't such a pussy"

"At least in not an asshole" Demetri yelled backing up away from Eli before ass face grabbed him from behind steading him.

"You're dead meat" Eli smirked getting closer to him.

Game on.

As soon as I arrived I spun kick Ass face in the nose so he could finally release Demetri.

"Y/n?" I heard Eli say under his breath making my heart break.

I pushed Demetri behind me.

"You guys need to back off" Sam suddenly appeared besides us.

"I don't want to have to hit a girl" Eli snapped at her.

"You wouldn't stand a chance" Robby joined us.

The second he saw Robby, Eli's questioning eyes went directly at me before his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Him? That's low, even for you y/n" He scoffed angered.

Oh no he didn't.

We were outnumbered, but I was confident in our little team.

The fight unexpectedly broke out, like it always seem to.

Eli tried to quick Robby in the stomach but he was fast enough to block him. On my other side, two boys started fighting with sam who constantly kicked them whenever she could.

A random boy tried to punch me but I quickly dodged him and flipped him over by leg sweeping him just like Johnny taught me.

I was overwhelmed by everyone we had to fight off, I felt like I had someone jumping on me every breath I took. It felt never ending; a kick to the face here, a punch to the stomach there.

I quickly noticed just how good Sam and Robby were, maybe even better than me.

The Cobras finally got weaker after every satisfying punch; some were even knocked out on the ground.

Robby and Eli were at each other's throats both of them looked like they were fighting for their life's.

Eli tried to kick Robby but he blocked his foot, spinning him around, giving Eli the perfect opportunity to elbow him behind the head. Robby let out a painful groan before being thrown at a table.

Robby landed uncomfortably on the table making it stumble.

Eli ran intensely towards Robby before jumping in the air, ready to knock him out but thankfully, Robby glanced back and elbowed Eli right in the face.

Eli was now laying on the floor looking unconscious, a bruise already appearing on his face.

My first reflex was to check on him, but Sam pulled me back. I knew he deserved it.

"Let's go y/n" She leaded us outside.

No matter how bad he hurt me, all I could think about was him.
