Chapter 53//"I bet your hands would look even better wrapped around my..."

"So how are you liking New York?"Elliott smiles at me as the wind was blowing his dark hair in his face and he kept on having to push it back with his hand.

I had my hair in a ponytail so that's why my hair wasn't sticking up like a bush.

"It's nice, the air doesn't smell too good though and I'm not going to lie I don't like the taste of the water"

He laughs out loud "The taste of the water, really Dawson?"

"Yes Elliott" I reply shoving him for laughing at me.

"See that hotel in the distance" Elliott points ahead to a extremely fancy and tall building, we'll from what I could tell it looked fancy.

"That's one of the many hotels your dad owns" He tells me. I don't reply. If it had anything to do with my dad then I don't care.

"Your going to have to speak to him eventually, we're all having lunch together today and he'll be there"

I frown, well then I guess I was skipping lunch.

"I can't believe you were born in New York. It jut feels so different here, like busier"

"But I grew up in Los Angeles just like you"

I stop for a second to look at him. Out of all the crazy things going on right now Elliott still wanted to show me around New York even though he had so much to do to prepare for his brother's wedding.

"You left Los Angeles though and came here"

"How many times do I have to tell you, Aaron threatened me? Cress understand that I know the boys can look out for themselves. But with you I knew I couldn't protect you and the reason for that is because sometimes you'd act like a stubborn cow and you'd push me away and then you would be vulnerable"

"That didn't work either though" I tell him. Aaron still got a hold of me.

"No I guess running away to New York didn't" I see a smirk curve in to his lips. I love it when I'm right and I love it even more when Elliott is wrong.

"Oh look at that fountain it's so pretty" I say in the direction of a huge fountain with a large amount of people around it sitting in benches. The rim of it was silver and there was water magically flying from the flowing fountain.

I swiftly walk over to it with Elliott only a few steps behind me.

"Let's make a wish" I say handing Elliott a coin from my pocket.

"I don't really believe in all that" He shrugs.

"Come on Elliott who knows, wishes can really come true" I tell him excitedly. I believed that it you truly wish for something from the deepest part of your heart it will come true.

"Mine can't come true, not even a miracle can give me back what I want, but I'll do it for your sake" He sighs plucking the coin out my hand.

I position my self with my back to the water fountain, and close my hand tightly around the coin, making one of my deepest wishes. I was wishing for something impossible too.

I throw the coin over my shoulder and let it plop in the water, as does Elliott's.

"So what did you wish for?" He asks me as we stand by the fountain. It had coloured lights that the bottoms of it making certain areas of the water glow colourfully.

"I can't tell you, if I do it won't come true and I really want it to come true"

He gives me a hard look for second. "It had something to do with me, didn't it?" He states looking me deep in the eyes with his deep ocean blue eyes. I frown at him.

"No don't be silly Elliott the world doesn't revolve around you"

That's when he does the unexpected.

Well it was Elliott, the unexpected was expected for Elliott.

He lifts me up bridal style in to his strong grip. I yelp in shock dropping my bag in front of the fountain.

I felt the heat radiating off his chest and his cologne was stronger than ever, the scent filling my nose up and nearly making me sneeze. Still smelt good though. I could feel his chest rising as my side was pressed up against him.

Immediately my arms wrap around his warm neck for safety, my heart beating in my chest. The thing that worried me was that I didn't know if my heart was beating so fast because my feet were no longer on the ground or because I was so close to Elliott.

I knew he was only messing around but being to close to him, literally, was making my head spin.

Being to up close to him and somewhat close to his height for once I could see the light stumble on his face. His hollow cheekbones looked more intense up close.

I think I shouldn't get too close to his jaw line because if i thou he'd it it would most definitely prick my finger.

His eyes looked even brighter up close, with tiny flecks of black in them. They were unusually being so dark but so sexy.

He looks down at me his lips slightly parted, I can't even imagine what was going through his head but I knew what was going though mine.

I could feel the skin of my arm and his neck touching and it was making my heart go wild.

"Elliott let go of me" It was meant to come out as angry and harsh so that he would put me down, instead it comes out soft like a plea. Which I wasn't intending on having it sound liked.

When the words leave my mouth his expression changes, before there were so many emotions running across his features but now there was that mischievous going in his eyes and the tinge of a smirk on his lips.

"Tell me the truth Dawson did your wish have anything to do with me?"

"Maybe"

"Wrong answer" He smirks cocking his dark eyebrow and he drops me in the freezing cold water.

I scream out loud as the icy cold impact hits me. I feels water go though my nose and in my ears.

I eventually pull myself up from the freezing cold water to see Elliott laughing at me.

I wasn't even smiling.

I give him a hard look, the coldness of the water was making my eyes water but I was going to use that to my advantage. I cross my arms and put on a sad expression.

"Shit Dawson, are you crying? Give me your hand"

It was scary how fast his actions changed the moment he thought he hurt me. It felt like he genuinely cared about me.

He puts his hand out and I take it, but I don't get out the fountain. Instead my frown turns in to a devilish smile and I pull him in to the cold water.

"You little bitch" He shouts in my direction. He stands up in the water, his hair was properly black now matted to his head and face.

The cold December sun was making the droplets on Elliott gleam.

I splash water in his direction while laughing, he smirks as he comes after me.

Did you know it was hard to run in water?

Eventually he catches me and dunks me in the water.

I splutter the water out my mouth as I come out the water.

I turn to face him, my hands come up and rest on his chest as he looks down at me, water from his hair dropping on top of me.

He takes a legend chinch of my now dark blind looking hair and places it behind my ear. Yet his fiver still lingers there and feel it brush against the edge of my cheek making me shiver.

He locks gazes with me and for a second I though he was bringing his face close to mine, but we'll never know because I push away.

"We should, we have that lunch you were talking about" I say getting out the water and removing my hoodie which was weighting me down. I grab my bag and wait for Elliott to get out the water but all he did was watch me.

For some reason he looked hurt. I know why he looked hurt but he shouldn't. He should know better. He shouldn't hurt Conner like this.

Eventually he comes out and guides the way to the hotel rooms.

*

"Blondie why are you soaking wet?" Conner asks seriously concerned. "Elliott are you daft, it's nearly your brother's wedding and your both soaking in the middle of December. Are you trying to get ill?"

I was shivering and so was Elliott.

Winter and my room was in the same floor at Conner's room and Elliott's room.

Elliott and I walked in to Elliott's room to find Conner and Daniel in there.

My brother looked no happier than Conner.

"Let me guess Elliott you pushed her in to the water. Why are you so irresponsible?" Conner says angrily. I hadn't seen Conner ever get this annoyed he wrapped his arms wrong my wet body.

I nestle in to him, loving the warmth.

"It's okay, I'm fine"

"No it's not, you don't understand Elliott's doing all this to piss me off" Conner says letting go of me as they argued.

Both of them were now standing in front of me while Elliott seemed to find this situation very humorous, Conner didn't seem too happy.

I look between both boys who were staring back at me now.

"Dad?" I say in utter shock.

"Well if you want, you can call me daddy. I know I always said you liked kinky, but I didn't know it was true" Elliott winks at me and Conner looks about ready to punch Elliott.

Conner was right Elliott was doing anything in his power to piss Conner off.

"No, dad" I say putting more emphasis on the word.

"Daddy? Cress I'm not really in to that kind of thing" Conner says confused.

"No dad" I say pointing behind them to see my dad standing there.

*

Once I was finally dried off I do down to the restaurant across the street for dinner with Alec.

"Crescent" My dad says giving me a big smile, he walks forward to give me a hug but I take a step back and glare at him.

The first thing I wanted to do was run to him and hug him. I vaguely remember the times I spend with my dad when mom was alive.

But sometimes it seems like those times ceased to exists as it had been such a long time. And he left us.

He was wearing one of his fancy suits and his hair was swept back. Gosh he looked so professional, but that's all he cared about, his career. I was quite shocked in seeing how old he looked than from the last time I had seen him.

"Crescent I haven't seen you in years" My dad says he still looked shocked that it was me. He probably still thought I was that same 13 year old girl.

"What happened to your hair" He almost scorns me. "You used to have your mom's beautiful hair"

"I think the better question is what happened to you being a part of my life" He didn't say anything.

"Right no answer. Daniel and me being little kids and you left us with mom's best friend and no sign of you"

"Crescent if I could go back I would..."

"...but you can't" I finish off the sentence for him and turn on my heels to go to the first person I say.

Lucky me that was Elliott.

I walk him to him and realise that it was his dad standing next to him.

"Crescent Dawson, well your the spitting image of your brother" The older guy says.

This was the father of Elliott... and Ryan.

I was quite shocked at how alike Elliott looked like his father. This dark blue eyes, that dark hair.

"The last time I saw you, you were about this height" He imitates a small person.

"That was at the hospital wasn't it? When mom was dying?"

He nods "Me and your mom were very close friends"

Yes so I have heard.

"Well we better get decent seats then" Elliott says steering me away from the awkward conversation.

"You really know how to make a impression Dawson"

"I just saw my dad Grayson" I snap.

Around the room I caught glances of Jake and his fiancé, soon to be wife, Tiffany. Both Elliott's parents were here and along with Conner's family.

I caught sight of Conner's sister attempting to flirt with my brother. Ah first crushes.

Also there were more people who I didn't know. I was surprised that my mom wasn't here. I knew it would be awkward between her and my dad. I don't think they've seen each other since around the time my mom dies.

We both sit at the table. I saw Conner's glare as him and Daniel came over and sat across from us.

Soon the long table was filled up with people. I saw that my dad and Elliott's dad were next to each other not that far from us.

"I like your ring" Elliott tells me.

"Thanks, you sound like you want to borrow it sometime" I laugh as the randomness.

"No, it really suits your hands" Elliott continues. Conner gives him a questioning look. Well this was one odd conversation. My brother was also looking oddly at Elliott'. People look over listening to our conversation.

"I bet your hands would look even better wrapped around my..."

"BIBLE!" My brother screams "WRAPPED AROUND HIS BIBLE! PRAISE THE LORD AMEN!"

Everyone looks over at my brother.

I snort with laughter at that unable to contain it. Our fathers were sitting there listening to us, while Elliott was trying to get in Conner's nerves and Daniel was trying to stop him.

As soon as the food arrives Elliott finally quietens down with his inappropriate comments.

The boys were talking about footballs and scrolling though their phones. I guess I game much be in right now.

"Oh shoot he just scored" Aiden says putting a hand over his mouth. Aiden mentions some name that I can't even pronounce.

Elliott practically spits out his food. I turn and glare at him, where were his table manners.

"Don't spit" I tell him off harshly

"I'm sorry I forgot our rule, if it's in our mouth we swallow"

Daniel spits out his lettuce.

"Now now Daniel, you must expect Winter to swallow, she would ask the same from you"

"Elliott your pig mind your own business" Winter glares at him.

Everyone was silent at the table, the adults looked pretty shocked at our conversation. Jack and Tiffany were even looking over at us.

"Jake what even is your son" My dad asks Elliott's dad who was called Jake. It was quite confusing seeing as Jake decided to name his son Jack.

Elliott's dad shakes his head "What kind of kids have we raised"

"Correction!" I say out loud standing up. I was outraged by what they just said.

"You didn't raise us. You just banged a women and left her, left your kids"

Well right now you could obviously hear a pin drop.

Elliott gives me a small high five from under the table.

Suddenly my mom walks in, well Abbi, my moms best friend, who practically is my mom.

"Sorry my first flight was cancelled. What did I miss?" She sys rushed. She looks up from her handbag and sees me standing up at the table having a fork pointed in my dad's direction.
