I was adopted.Which is why, Liam looks the complete opposite of me. I've been loved and cared for by my adoptive parent as much as they did for their son Liam. I was sent to a good school, given admission to the college of my choice and extra music courses. Now that I remember, Mom was a music teacher at elementary school and we had this big piano in our living room where I used to practice after class.Dad was a librarian, he had a whole room of books where he mostly spent free his hours. Whenever I went to offer coffee to him there, he would make me sit beside him and read a lot of books. I didn't like it at first, but when I grew up, that place became a part of my everyday life.They were the best family I could have asked for. Liam was like my best friend, even though he was five years older than me. We both lost everything that day in a blink of an eye. Years of happiness vanished in the hand of that one man. But what happened after that? Why can't I remember everything?There's a two years gap between the day we lost our parents and today. What happened in those two years? Why is Liam by Rodas's side and refusing to tell me anything?Oh right! He is being controlled by Rodas.Because of me.So would I have to wait again for the rest of my memories to come back to me. "Elie?" This time it's Rei who is calling me. I'm back to the present, back to Rei's arms in the hotel room.  I stare at him with a fogged brain. His lips stop moving, now he is looking at me with a worried expression. I've put him in enough trouble already. No more. Whatever happened in those two years, there are only two people who can explain it to me. My brother and that man of a Monster. For that, I must go back to that hellhole."I've arranged everything...passport, tickets, we are getting out of here Elie-" Rei is saying to me desperately but I shake my head, pulling myself away from his arms.I put my palm over his cheek. He looks at me in confusion. I know even now he is trying to do this for me but he deserves someone who loves him not a fucked up memory loss girl who would only bright trouble and nothing else to him."I'm sorry Rei... For putting you into this mess!"  I mumble.He takes my hand."I don't mind doing anything for you. It's ok Elie... Once we get out of here everything is gonna be alright-""I'm not going Rei!" Rei let go of my hand, eyebrows knitted together."What?" "I can't put you in any more danger... You'll suffer as long as I'm with you... So, Rei let's -""You can't do this to me!" "I know Rei... I'm sorry!""I did everything. Everything for you!" His voice sink as he point his finger at me with every word he let out.I know and I don't seek forgiveness for this.Rei takes my hands again, intertwining our fingers, he whisperes softly, "Please... Let's get out of here and-" "My brother... Liam. I have to go to him. I ran away from Rodas... He- He will definitely hurt Liam-""THEN WHAT ABOUT ME?" Rei interrupts me. His tone has shifted to a low irritated voice, sending a chill down my spine.His hands find their way to my arms, claws digging into my skin. I let out a cry."WHY DON'T YOU EVER CARE ABOUT ME? CAN'T YOU FUCKING SEE HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU?" He screams all of a sudden.There's a fire of rage burning in his eyes from somewhere. The veins in his forehead are protruding, like they will burst out any second, chest heaving up and down. I shudder, seeing this change of behaviour all of a sudden."Rei?" I cry out, trying to free myself only to get hurt against his grip. "Every time... every time you choose him!" He growls. I don't know what he is talking about. What happened all of a sudden? "What are you saying Rei... You're hurting me. Please let go. Let's talk-" But he isn't listening to me anymore. Something has taken over him. He pulls me up despite my resistance and throws me on the bed. Fear takes over me. My whole body trembles.I scoot over near the bed headboard, far away from him, hugging my knees close to my chest.He stretches his limbs and rubs the back of his neck. When he looks back at me, he is smirking. This is the look, I've never seen in him. He becomes a completely different person in a second.He comes to sit on the edge of the bed and nudges his head toward me."I've done it perfectly. Do you not think I'm a perfect boyfriend?" He asks me with a calm voice but it's not a usual calm voice, it's scary, dripping with darkness."You found it perfect right? You're falling for me slowly... So what's the point of going back there?" I just stare at him in silence. All of a sudden he gets on the bed and grabs one of my ankles and slides me toward him.No. No. No. Please No!"Would you stay if I break this?" He asks looking at my ankle.My eyes widen in horror.He laughs and then tries to get on top of me. I scream and struggle, kicking and fighting him with all my might. I can't believe this is happening to me. I can't believe this whole thing.Rei-Who is he?In the end, I'm completely under him no matter how much I fought. "Sorry for ruining the perfect image of-"He doesn't get to finish his words, all of a sudden there's a sound of a door breaking. Rei turns to look toward it and I feel something spurt on my face, I wipe it with my hand only to find it covered in blood. Seconds later Rei falls to the ground. "What an eyesore!" I hear a familiar grim voice.
