Elora's POV----------------"Are you ok Jeremy?" I ask, worried as I see him sitting by the windowsill looking lost and distant. He flinches after hearing my voice as if awakened from a deep slumber. "When did you come?" He asks, turning to face me. I shrug."Just now," He moves aside, making a place for me to sit. "Are you ok?" I ask again. He shakes his head, eyes immediately welling up with tears but despite that, he tries to smile at me.  "It's ok," I mumble and hug him. "Let it out," Within a moment, Jeremy breaks into tears. His shoulder trembles as he attempts to suppress his sobs. I pat his back, assuring him that I'm here and ready to listen to everything."I made a mistake!" He says in between sobs. "I lied"I hold his shoulders and look at him."What did you lie about? To whom?" I ask.He clears his throat, wiping away his tears with the back of his hand. He looks at me."Zeco had been acting weird. Like he becomes aggressive whenever I go out with other men. He acts like he is my lover yet he says he doesn't love me in a heartbeat." No wonder Jeremy is having a breakdown. It sounds complicated. I don't know what Z is thinking and he is hard to approach too. "Last time he told me not to sleep with anyone and I told him I didn't but I messed up" I gulp. "Did you sleep with anyone?" He shakes his head, fresh tears streaming down his cheeks. "I... I tried to..." He sobs. "After that, he got so angry... He told me I was his... Even if he doesn't love me. I- I don't know how to react to that."I rub his back. I really feel bad for Jeremy. He is going through a lot. "Did you try to talk with Z after that?" He shakes his head again, crying out in frustration."He is ignoring me... It's been five days" I clasp his hands making him look at me."I think Z is confused... Give him some time" He gives me an uncertain look. I smile. "But what I can be sure of is that he cares for you, Jeremy..."He chuckles, wiping away his tears."Nonsense," I laugh, happy that his face has brightened up a bit. "Let's go out and do lots of shopping," I say.He makes a lazy face."I don't -""C'mon!" I pull him up. "Get ready in thirty minutes ok?" He gives me a thumbs up. "I'm gonna get ready too," I say, giving him another hug before leaving the room. I head toward Rodas's office first because he has been there since morning. I knock on the door and slightly open the door before peeking inside. There are people inside and he is having a meeting. I decide not to disturb him and slowly close the door again but before I can turn around I hear him calling for me, "Why are you going back?" I hear him say. Seconds later, Rodas stands at the door. He caresses my cheeks and smiles. "Did you miss me?"I smile, flustered by his question and nod. "But I'm going shopping... With Jeremy," "Are you?" He asks surprised, maybe because I rarely go out. He kisses my forehead."Ok, have fun but don't leave Jeremy's side ok?" I nod and tiptoe to give him a small kiss on his forehead. ------"Ahhhh... It's getting heavy" I complain looking at the shopping bags in my hand as we walk inside another makeup store. Jeremy is looking for a particular lipgloss. We have been looking for it for thirty minutes now. Jeremy slides his hand around my arms and drags me inside."I'm not going if I don't get it," he says.I groan and follow him. Finally, after going into two more stores, he finds it. The joy on his face is priceless. "Why do you need this particular one?" I ask.He pauses for a moment, staring at the product. Then a sad smile forms around the corner of his lips. "Zeco bought this one for me, he said he loved the smell... Well, I love it too so it's not about him" he says and walks to the cashier. I chuckle. He is very much in love with Zeco and I hope they clear the air between them soon. We did a lot more shopping. I bought dresses and shoes while Jeremy got himself pretty designer clothes and also lots of beauty products.When we are done, the night has already fallen and we both are exhausted. Jeremy insists on carrying most of the bags and lets me carry only a few despite my refusal. "Wait here a bit, I'll bring the car. Don't go anywhere," he says, taking away the remaining bags from my hand."Ok!" My phone rings when I see Jeremy getting inside the car on the other side of the road.It's Rodas calling me. "Sunshine are you coming?" "Yeah! Jeremy just went to bring the car,""Are you not with him?" Rodas asks immediately, his voice dripping with concern."Jeremy is not far...he is driving back here""Ok! Stay on the phone till he comes back" I think Rodas is being too cautious but I don't blame him. After what happened to me, he is always extra cautious when we step out of the home."Is he there yet?" He asks again. I see Jeremy driving back towards me."Yeah, He is-"Bang. Screech!!!!What happened?Crash!The device in my hand slips off and I find myself watching Jeremy's car crash with a big pole just a few metres away from me."Elora? What's that sound? Elora!!!" I can hear Rodas's voice but I cannot move. My whole body feels heavy and cold. Jeremy's head jerks out, breaking the window glass. Bloody and unconscious. What just happened? I still cannot process it. My mind goes numb. "Elora?-" Rodas's voice gets cut off. Someone is behind me and they have stepped on my mobile. Then I feel a cold metal at the back of my head and then a soft voice says near my ear."Long time no see, Elora Rose Green," My heart shatters into millions of pieces.
