Jade pov
Under the light of the moon, my appearance started to change. My hair turned a shade darker while gaining silver highlights in them as it grew to the length of the floor flowing in natural waves. My tanned complexion paled, making me glow more than ever under the moonlight.
Power surged through me healing the injuries I sustained enlightening me in a whole new way. With this newfound power, I tried my hand at healing Jayson again. More power than before went into healing him giving me hope as his injuries began to close up.
I breathed out in relief when I heard his heartbeat again. It started off slow but as its pace went up Jayson took a breath making me smile happily.
He's alive... I could cry right now but...
I turned glaring at Erik who remained gawking at me. I stood facing him. With a single step he already went flying. That hit snapped him out of his shock and he glared at me once more, this time with claw marks a dawning his face and a broken rib to accompany it. He forced himself to his feet staying away from me.
"A war is coming Jade. A war you will loose if you stay against me!"
"A war I will win if you keep challenging me!" I snarled back making him chuckle as he wiped the blood off his busted lip.
"Then I shall win, and make sure to have your head as a prize!"
"If you win. Cause I'll be ready for you. And until then stay out of my sight, cause if I see you...heh...you'll know."
We glared at each other before he backed into the darkness leaving with his wolves. I stayed still for a few moments making sure they were gone. Once I was sure I turned back to Jayson checking on him again. He was unconscious still but at least his injuries had healed and he was resting.
I moved a bit slowly knowing that his body might still be in pain, but I managed to place his weight on me and stood up. I began to make my way home, to my pack.

The sun had risen by the time I got close to my pack borders. Being this close to it made me smell the worry in the air and once in the territory, I was immediately hit with the worry and anger from everyone.
Their emotions were so strong it sent my weakened form to my knees. I ended up dropping Jayson on the floor too. He groaned at the contact, making me chuckle a bit.
"Sorry." I breathed.
Leaves broke under someone's weight and a growl sounded. Looking up I saw a warrior on patrol his growling halted immediately when he saw my face. He ran away coming back not even a minute later.
"Luna!" He skidded on his knees to stop before me. "Are you okay!? Are you hurt anywhere!? Is the enemy still close to you?" He was frantic.
His hands were moving everywhere and nowhere like he was to grip onto my shoulders and shake the questions out of me. I gave him a smile seeming to relax him a little.
"Calm down Darren, the enemy isn't here anymore. I do need rest but I should be fine, he is the one that needs the pack doctor." He nodded.
"Yes, Luna. Please stay here, I'll be back with help." I held onto him stopping him from running off.
"Mind link Darren. You can stay with me." He blinked
"R, right! Sorry!" His eyes dulled, clouding over.
I closed my eyes taking a breath as I too opened my mind to my pack members. I shouldn't have. None of their minds were in a stable state. They were all panicking some were on their way to us and others were just plain worrying over the weirdest things.
Calm yourselves. You all will make the children worry from your scents. I am here. And I am fine. Everyone quieted for a moment.
LUNA!! I was hit with everyone's mind linking into one thought alone.
Relief washed over everyone. I smiled. Although with a headache now, I was glad to be home.
Three warriors appeared rushing over to me much like Darren had done. They helped me up and two of them took Jayson to the pack doctor.
"Where is your alpha?" I asked.
"He went back to the moon pack."
"Alpha is...angry. Very angry. And sad, we haven't been able to get through to him since yesterday. He's blocking us." They frowned.
"I understand. I'll get him back."
"No. Please rest first luna."
"Please?" They begged. I smiled at them.
"I will don't worry."
"Jade!" Looking up I saw dad running over to me. He didn't slow until I was in his arms. "Oh, child you're trying to kill me early." He sighed holding me tightly.
"Never." I smiled. We pulled back and he began checking for wounds.
"You're okay, right? No broken anything?" I shook my head no at his questions allowing him to relax a bit.
"I'm fine I promise. I'm just tired." He nodded sighing.
"You do that, go rest." I nodded "And, nice look by the way. The gold in your hair was a nice touch." He smiled.
Gold? I took a strand of my hair that was silver, which is now gold. I smiled.
"Thanks. Have you heard from Danny?"
"No. He's blocking even me. You alone should be able to get to him." I sighed nodding.
"Luna!" I turned seeing Darren coming toward me again "The boy you brought is okay. The doctor said he's fine and all he really needs is rest." I nodded.
"Thank you." Darren smiled back leaving once more.
"You should get some rest too Jade." Dad kissed my forehead then pushed me towards the stairs.
I followed what he wanted going up to Danny and my room in the packhouse. While heading there I tried reaching him but he kept his mind close. So I forced it open.
Daniel! I got him at the expense of my headache increasing.
What!? He snapped back obviously angry I broke through.
Missed you too. I gave him a sarcastic response.
Jade... his mind wavered before his emotions hit me. Oh my goddess! JADE! I flinched.
No, stop shouting. Headache. I grumbled aloud as well as I made it to our room. I shut the door immediately ripping off my blood-soaked top.
Baby where are you!?
Home.
Home? Okay! Okay, I'll be there soon. He cut the link but I still felt his emotions of relief and joy swirling within me.
I smiled now jumping into the shower and taking a very hot bath. I made sure to scrub off all the blood attached to my skin. It was also a new hassle to wash my floor-length hair but I did. Once I finished bathing I brushed my teeth afterward changing into some shorts and one of Danny's sweaters so I could relax.
I stood in front of the mirror watching my new features. My multicolored eyes seemed to glitter now, especially when the light hit it. I'm pretty sure I grew a bit, not fully sure but... and the fact that my hair is now practically touching the floor, with natural golden highlights in my dark brown hair. It almost made it seem like I dyed the highlights into my hair.
Despite everything. This looks cool.
Agreed. The girls were on board with our new look.
Although I was tired, hunger won by a landslide and I went to go get something to eat. I found some leftover pasta in the fridge and took it placing it in the toaster over to heat up. I have no idea who that pasta belonged to, but it's mine now.
As soon as it was finished I took a fork and began to eat not minding the heat on my tongue. Hmm...cheese... I was happily eating when arms wrapped around me.
Still chewing my food I opted to use my other senses to find out who it was. From the scent of mud and sweat, I knew exactly who it was.
"You know, you probably shouldn't eat others food." He muttered through my hair. I looked up flashing a smile to my third in command, Chris.
"Was it yours?" He raised an eyebrow
"If it was?"
"Mine now." I grinned. He laughed taking the seat beside me.
"As you say." His smile left and his mood changed to serious. "Luna, you had us worried. None of us could track you, no scent no trail, no link, we thought we lost you. Please, tell me who took you." He frowned. I paused my eating to fully look at him.
"I'm sorry. I had no intention of worrying you all this much. The person who took me...was my uncle." Chris's eyes widened.
"Your uncle!?"
"Yeah. His name's Erik and he's hell-bent on revenge over my mother and I. I think he hates me because I look like her."
"Your mother?" I nodded. "Who is your mother Jade?" I smirked a pride filling me.
"The moon goddess." I nodded going back to eating.
"Oh.." he nodded "..no wait, what!?" He finally caught on making me laugh.
"What?"
"There's no way! Are you really..?" I nodded "You're royalty!?"
"Guess so."
"That's awesome. Other packs are going to be so jealous!" I laughed. "I can't wait to brag about how I have a goddesses daughter as my Luna who's super cool and rather beautiful!" He grinned.
"You better not. No one will know until the council members come."
"Damn. I have to hide it?!" He pouted.
"Stop pouting big baby." I chuckled.
"Fine. And did you manage to get onto alpha? He's ignoring me too."
"I know and-" I was cut off as someone grabbed my hand, pulled me off my seat and into their chest.
Upon contact, I immediately knew who it was before his scent reached me. I wrapped my arms around him pulling him closer even though it was physically impossible to hold him closer.
"I missed you," I muttered bending to bury his face into my neck. He snuggled into me mixing out scent together.
"Me too.." I inhaled his scent relishing in the comfort it brought to me.
"You have no idea how worried you had me." He pulled back frowning. I cupped his face pulling him back down for a peck on his lips.
"Sorry." He pulled me back in kissing me hard and long. We broke apart once air became mandatory.
"You have no idea how much I wanted to do that." He smiled at my words chuckling softly.
"I can guess." I smiled back "I heard you brought someone with you? A boy?" I nodded.
"Jayson. Found him when I woke up. Erik tried to kill him as an example of what he'd do to our pack. To everyone." Danny frowned at my words.
"Which got you your true form..."
"You're beautifully but..." he sighed head dropping. "I should have been able to find you, to protect you."
"Maybe, but I'm here aren't I? I'm okay." I smiled. He sighed.
"This form of yours is dangerous. You're too cute and sexy like this." He grinned giving me a megawatt smile. I rolled my eyes pushing him away.
"Whatever you dork." He chuckled pulling me back to him. "You know we have to tell the council right? About Erik's plans to cause chaos for everyone." Danny sighed passing a hand over his face.
"I think...we're going to need more help than just the Moon pack." His head dropped onto mine "And I don't mean wolves only."
"You're not going to like this very much."
"OR at all.." he grumbled. I took his hand placing a kiss on it.
"No matter what, I'll be by your side." He smiled "I love you." His face brightened and he grinned at me.
"Definitely, not more than I love you." He smirked before kissing me.

After spending time with Danny I decided to check up on Jayson. As soon as I got to the hospital the pack doctor told me which room he was in. He had placed Jayson on the alpha ward where only the alpha, luna, and their family are allowed. Unless stated otherwise.
I was happy to see Jayson out of his blood-soaked clothes but why was he still asleep? I went to his side placing my hand on his forehead. I concentrated to bring forth his wolf.
"Jade..." he spoke despite his eyes still being closed.
"Mason! How is he? How are you both?"
"I am fine, as is Jayson. It's been a long time since he's relaxed fully. He is simply exhausted." He stated. I sighed.
"Is he comatose?"
"No...he is gaining his guardian power." I raised an eyebrow confused.
"Guardian power?"
"Your true form has awakened. And with it your guardians are called to your side. After healing Jayson you awoke his power. You have four more that are searching for you. Each with their own power to protect you."
"I see... thanks Mason." He hummed and I took my hand off of Jayson's forehead, placing a soft kiss there after.
So, how do we go about finding our guardians?
We don't. Safire answered.
They find us. Ruby hummed.
Once you're near them, they will awaken from the need to protect you at all costs. It'll be like a natural feeling for them. Not just as a friend but as your guardian. Diamond explained.
I understand yet I don't.. I sighed, either way, we have other pressing matters at hand. Like our powers.
You're right. We have some training to do. Safire nodded.
Our witchcraft can expand now with these powers. Scarlet hummed.
We need to work on how well you can control the light. Having it increase make it an asset only if you have control. Diamond stated
Screw control! Let it free. But...as much as I hate it.. she, she's right. With light comes dark. If you can control the light you'll be able to manage the dark as well. Decaying shouldn't be a problem as long as we know what we want to become nonexistent. Ruby chuckled at the end.
Finding a way to combat silver would be nice. We need to hunt too. Empress sighed.
When was the last time we shifted? Going for a run should help us see what changed. Safire ended. I sighed now in my room and face planted the bed.
We've got some work cut out for us...
Definitely! I groaned at the response.
We can sort ourselves and everything later, first we sleep. With that, I was out faster than a light
