Jade pov

Currently, the rain is falling. Hard. Everyone looked so happy about it, thinking that they wouldn't have to train because of the weather. It brings me great joy to crush their hopes.

"Alright! Looks like we're training in the rain today!" I announced being quickly followed by groaning and moans of pain. I laughed enjoying it.

Everyone but my boys unwillingly went to change and get ready for training. We left them heading into the rain for some extra playtime. By the time everyone was outside we were already drenched and covered in mud. With one last shove, we split into our groups to do our training.

"Alright Katelyn, shift!" One demand we both shifted circling each other before we simultaneously pounced.

|~ Time skip~ Noon~|

"Enough for today." I rolled my arm catching a large gash on it "Well looks at that you managed to do some damage." Katelyn smirked a triumphant look crossing her face " Now go bathe, you smell like shit." It was gone as soon as it came making me chuckle.

Huffing she went to shift behind a tree coming back out after still scowling. I laughed ringing out my hair although rain was still falling, not as hard though.

Baby, Aron didn't show for training again. I'm not sending him anymore messages, bring him to me will you? Danny grumbled in my mind. I hummed

Okay. I turned to face Katelyn

"Hey!" She stopped turning to look at me "Where's Aron?" She shrugged

"Haven't seen him in a while. And if he's not in the packhouse he's in his own. It's a little far from here, closer to the border but you can't miss it, it's the only one there." I nodding waving her off as I went in the direction she pointed me in.

The moment I arrived I sensed a bad vibe coming from it. I placed my guard up looking around to see if there were any threats.

"Aron!" I called out hoping he'd come outside. He didn't so I called again, and again, and again until I finally went into the house myself. "Aron! Where are you!? I can smell you come out!!" I growled.

His scent was strong which meant he was here but with his scent all over the house the question was where? I found him in the last room sitting on a chair and facing the wall. Irritated I stormed up to him.

"Aron I swear to the Goddess-" I spun him around only to find him staring off with nothing but anger and sadness in his eyes.

The air around us shifted and anothe4 presence joined us. I sighed touching him to get a better insight into what I was dealing with. A demon that feeds off of someone's weakest emotions. Sadness, hate, anger.

Aron here is a full course if he's like this. No wonder he skipped out on training. He's too weak to move... Diamond elaborated.

Heh, weak bitch. Ruby snorted highly amused.

Shaking my head I quickly exercised the demon from him hearing it cry out at its defeat. Groaning from the headache that brought I stumbled back going on my knees as the room was spinning.

"Wh...what..? Jade..?" Aron moved worry on his face "What's wrong? What happened? Are you okay?" Before I could answer a figure appeared out of the shadows chuckling darkly.

"Seems I've been exercised from him. You found me so easily." He chuckled stepping into the light to reveal a man in a suit.

He was tall and lean barely any fat on him this meant he's never been in a physical fight a day in his life. However long it was. Black fog followed him as he stalked around the room.

"I still have him under my control. You can't get rid of me that easily!" He lunged hoping to take possession of Aron all over again. Needless to say, he didn't make it.

With no faults in my steps, I took the demon by his throat slamming him onto the floor and holding him there. He screeched and scratched my hand as he trashed around to be set free.

"You are not to touch him." I sneered eerily down at him my multicolored eyes shifting to red only in one eye showing that Ruby had half dominance right now. He quickly looked down away from my eyes.

"Leave here and never come back! If I catch you here or anywhere near me again. You die." I released him watching as he kept his head bowed while standing.

"As you say...princess..." he faded into the black fog that was once trailing behind him.

"Jade." Now missing a beat I spun and punched Aron in his face breaking his nose and sending him flying into the wall.

"The ruck is wrong with you!? Do you have any idea what you could have done!? You are an alpha!! You have a pack to take care of and protect but you're here feeling sorry for yourself!!" He flinched refusing to look me in my eyes. "Look at me...look at me!" I took a breath calming myself down "You can't expect me to accept you as my mate after two years. After you were the one to reject me! The moment I accepted that rejection we both felt a snap, that was our bond breaking. And it disappeared the moment I left the pack. If you choose to be like this give the alpha title to someone else. You don't even know if you have a second chance mate." I glared at him.

"Yeah, I doubt that." He mumbled looking back down at the floor.

"Then that's on you. Because you didn't try to find your happiness." I clicked my tongue "When you're done with your bullshit, get your ass back to training. Be glad it wasn't Danny that found you." I grumbled leaving his house.

I stood outside the one place I have been avoiding at all costs. The place that started it all, my old house.

We're not inside but I hate it already. Scarlett voiced and I agreed with her entirely. Walking up to wooden steps I took the spare keys out from where I hid them and opened the door. As soon as it opened the scent of booze and lots of other alcohol entered my senses. I grunted at the scent feeling to gag.

"Dad!!" Anndd why did I do that!? I mentally faced palmed.

A habit I guess... Safire hummed. I sighed once more.

Since he wasn't in the living room I headed upstairs to see if he was home at all. I opened the door to his room just to come face to face with him.

Fuck! I jumped back. I took in his appearance. His eyes were red, bloodshot from lack of sleep he gained weight but was still built and he reeked!!

He squinted at me leaning on the door for support as he stared at me clearly drunk off his ass. Nothing new honestly.

"Whow...whyo the yell are you!?" He glared pointing his half-empty wine bottle at me. I blinked staring blankly at him.

"Jade. Ring any bells?"

"Ha? Jace!? Kinda nyame iz...iz hat from a girl?" I raised an eyebrow at him disappointed in this man.

"Not Jace. Jade. Ja~de~" I dragged out my name for him and recognition flashed in his eyes. Anger followed right behind.

"Jade! Jade ya son of a bitch!!" He yelled still slurring "Why the fuck did you leave!? Who the fuck told you that you could!? Hah!? Worthless bitch!" He took a shot of his drink "You're more worthless than that bitch of a brother weave got!" He went to take another sip instead he got a punch to his face putting him on his ass.

"Fuck you! Don't you dare talk bad about my brother!! It was you who drove him away from us after mom died!!" He stared up at me stunned "You're the one that made Jayson leave!!" I growled. He growled back with the little sense he had as I had knocked him back into being a bit sober.

"I am your father! Watch your damn tone!"

"As if!" I scoffed " Mom would be so disappointed in you." He glare wavered "Especially since you broke the promise you made to her. To love and cherish us in her steed, to protect us. You'd be breaking her heart if she saw you now. Saw how you tore this family down and apart." I clicked my tongue tuning to leave "Came to see if you're alive. You are. Later."

I left the room heading downstairs. Thumps and shuffling sounded upstairs as his feet pounced heavily on the wooden floor.

"I'm sorry!" I stopped turning to face him. Dad stood at the top of the stairs. Here, I finally saw him for the broken man he was.

I could see and smell it beyond the alcohol. His depression, his anger, his hurt, his longing for his mate. The pain of losing your other half is never easy especially not to one's who've been bonded for as long as he had been. I understood that a piece of his soul was missing but, a piece was still there.

"Tell me that when you truly mean it."

"But I do!" He stepped down

"Perhaps. But I'll believe it when I see it. I understand, mom was your everything. And half of you is gone. But she didn't leave you alone. She left us too. A piece of us died with her that day. She left you her legacy and you destroyed it by tearing it apart." Shame filled him.

"I understand." Nodding I turned to leave when the glass in the living room shattered.

"Ack!" I spun seeing something standing where dad once was. He was kicked down the stairs. I hoisted him up onto his feet.

Danny! Rogues!! I linked to him about to say more when I got distracted when I had to pull dad out the way from getting decapitated by a demon. From the shattered windows, demons jumped into the house surrounding us.

Shit. We cursed. Danny! What do they want!? I re-linked with him.

They were looking for someone! I heard one say that the person they wanted wasn't here so they retreated. He answered obviously occupied as well. We managed to catch some though!

I bit my lip seeing that wolves were now surrounding the house also and more demons were appearing out of the shadows. I shifted onto my left foot using my right to kick one away from me. Panic that wasn't mine settled in my chest.

Baby...baby where are you!? Daniel's panicked voice rushed into my head.

My old house. The demons made a path right to me allowing a man taller than me to stride up to me. I felt power like no other radiating from him, yet I didn't bow. I glared. He stopped in front of me showing me brown eyes filled with nothing but hate. From his black hair to his brown eyes to the power coming from him, all this told me immediately that the man standing before me is my uncle.

As we are now we stand no chance. Diamond worried.

We can stall for time!

No other choice we're screwed if we don't!

"Hello, Jade." He smirked bringing me from my internal worrying. "You look so much like your mother." He spat with hate in his tone of voice, and on my face.

Nasty.

Danny. I know who they were looking for. Me.

Worry washed over me as well as an internal panic. Before I could relay more information to him my face was grabbed.

"Calling your lover I see." He sneered down at me before his eyes glared out one of the windows. "We're leaving." He pushed me to the floor turning to leave.

Demons began to disappear from around me and the wolves ran off. When the last demon and wolf stood beside my uncle he turned his glare back to me. Instantly I knew

We're in deep shit.

Daniel pov

The boys and I were racing to Jade's old house after she told me who the demons were truly after. Out of nowhere burning pain surged through me forcing me to stop running in order to regain any sort of sense. Once I had my senses back a thought dawned on me. That was not my pain...it was Jade's!!

I took off again pushing myself to go faster than I had ever needed to before. Our mind suddenly cut from the other sending me into a state of panic. I felt her go unconscious beforehand but I could tell she was still alive. I just hope I made it there on time. We got to her old house.

Upon entering I found the place smelling of alcohol, so strong it almost drowned out all the other senses. Looking around I saw a man standing by the staircase standing there in complete shock. I shifted taking clothes from Kyle and quickly placing them on before going back up to the man. The main source of the alcohol stench.

"Where's Jade!?" I demanded only to receive no answer. Dean took over out of fear, anger, and impatience. He grabbed the man by his collar shaking him from his shock to have his undivided attention "Where's Jade!?" We demanded again.

"I, I... I don't know! They came and, and he took her, they took her, they took her away and..and I just stood there... I... I'm such a failure..." He mumbled to himself, disappointment crossing his face.

Having control back I shoved him away from me. Growling I went back outside where the boys waited, keeping watch for any enemy still lurking around. I whistled for their attention. They faced me and when seeing that Jade wasn't beside me their ears flattened and they whimpered a bit.

Luna! Our luna! Where is she? Their thoughts grumbled into one single thought and as I wasn't in wolf form sounded like whispers in my ears.

"Listen!" I demanded silencing their voices "The enemy has Jade." Growls sounded around me "We don't know how far they could have gone so start searching! We'll keep looking for her around this packs territory. Everyone else will search from home! I'll be between both. Understand!?" They nodded "Then go!!" And they took off disappearing behind the trees.

Wait for me baby. We'll come and get you. I linked her hoping she'd hear it somehow. I shifted howling to let my pack know I was on the hunt too.
