Jade pov

|~ Dream ~|

I was once again in the forest with mom. We were by a lake, the moonlight making us both glow. We just sat there on the shore in silence, enjoying each other's company.

"Take heed dear. You're uncle, Erik, will do anything  to get you on his side. Don't fall for his traps." She sighed sadly.

"I won't." My surroundings began to blur stating that I was waking up. Mom smiled stroking my hair.

"Be safe my darling, please."

"Of course, I'll do my best. Maybe I can get him from the dark side." She smiled sadness swimming in her eyes.

"Maybe..." And with one last kiss she faded away.

|~ Dream End ~|

I opened my eyes to darkness and a headache. Looking around I tried to make out anything I could but it was pitch black so, that wasn't happening. Sighing I slowly sat myself up rubbing my temples as it throbbed in pain.

How long was I asleep? I groaned again. Headaches sucks.

We counted. Three days. Empress notified me.

Ah shit! Three days!? I broke from my stunned thoughts at the sound of someone shifting to my left.

My head snapped in the direction trying to see in the dark as whoever tried moving slower, but I could hear them clearly.

"Who's there!?" My voice made them freeze in their tracks but no answer came. Clicking my tongue I moved closer to the person.

When my hand hit a body it dawned on me that this person was unconscious and only moving in their sleep. Not only that, they were freezing to the touch. Since I was still touching them I could tell the person was a he. And he has many bruises and open wounds, if the sticky substance on my hand has anything to say about it.

"Hey, are you okay?" I shook the boy a bit hoping for any response at all. Any noise he could make to signal he's alive would be nice.

A slight wind blew which allowed me to finally smell passed the blood to his scent. I blinked into the darkness. His scent, is rather familiar but I couldn't place it. Maybe if I could see his face that would put the pieces together but at the moment I'm relying on every other sense but sight.

We need to heal him. If he doesn't heal he'll die.. Diamond worried.

Trusting her I brought forth my angel side without fully shifting and began to heal the boy before me. Halfway through the process he began to groan and make noise bringing a smile to my face.

"Wh...what, what are you...?" He rasped out.

"Ssh.. don't talk. Your throat must be dry from not having any water. Stay still for me, I'm only healing you, you don't have to worry." I reassured him eyes blind but focused on the task at hand. He placed his hand on mime leaving it there as his body relaxed.

Once I was finished I let him go just to hear shifting and feel his hand finding mine again.  His chains rattled as he shifted around and arms went around me as a head rested on mine.

"Thank you..." he breathed finally free of pain. I smiled hugging back.

"Of course. I couldn't let you die." Something about this boy is familiar.

"Oh, I don't know your name." I chuckled breaking out hug.

"I'm Jade. You?"

"Jayson." At this time I was glad it was dark. He wouldn't see the look of absolute flabbergasted on my face.

Do you think...? I blinked hoping for some light to see his face.

Maybe... Safire hummed.

Don't get your hopes too high. Ruby warned.

I won't.

"Jayson as in, Jayson Wilson?" The boy seemed to perk up at the name.

"Yeah, that's me!" I could hear the smile in his voice "Hey are you from my pack? The moon pack? Or do you know my sister?!- Are you crying?" He paused.

Startled by what he said I blinked rapidly trying to wipe the tears away and ensure my voice was clear of any signs of crying.

"Crying? Uh, no.." I put on a smile even though he couldn't see it. "Maybe..it's just... you share my brother's name." I whimpered softly

"Oh. That's cool, maybe we can be friends!" I chuckled.

I need to see his face!! As if reading my thoughts fire lamps sprung to life giving the room much need light and lo and behold in front of me is Jayson.

My Jayson. My big brother. I sobbed looking at him before pulling him into a hug.

"Jayson, oh my gosh!!" I held him tightly only for him to pull away from me keeping me at arms length away from them.

"Uh..sorry but, do I know you?" I think someone stabbed me.

I sighed again disappointed. Jayson, my brother is right in front of me after having gone missing over two years ago. He is within arms reach of me and I can't hug talk or even scold him because we are captured and he doesn't remember me.

The Jade he knows has red hair, brown eyes and freckles on her face. His memory was swapped. Ultimately it was supposed to be gone but our bond was too strong to be rid of so they just altered his memory.

At least this time we can protect him from harm. Scarlett tried making me feel better. It worked a little bit.

Can't we use a spell to make him regain his memory?

No. The only how to undo the spell already cast upon him is for him to remember you on his own. Your voice your looks your personality. It's all different in his mind but as you are the true version being around him might spark something and shatter the spell. One small memory of the real you will do. Scarlett explained.

I groaned again dropping my head onto my knees.

Jayson pov

Jade. The girl who was brought in three days ago unconscious. After that I was beaten for not being able to answer any questions about the strange girl. She shares a name with my little sister. I admit it made me miss her even more.

Thinking about her makes me feel guilty. I left her with our sorry excuse of a father. I only wanted a job and a place to live in order to take her away from him, but here I am. Captured. Worst of all its been for most, six years.

The thought of seeing her was the only thing that kept me fighting, and getting myself into a lot of trouble.

The Jade with me now was beautiful especially with her multicolored eyes. Although all we had for light was the torches that lit aflame only at certain times I could tell that in natural light, Jade would shine. Thinking about it brought a miniscule smile to my face.

It was quickly wiped off though as footsteps sounded and a moment later our cell was opened. Our heads simultaneously snapped to the cell door as it opened revealing two buff men and another more lean and tall one. He looked even more dangerous than the two men who obviously had strength as a strong suit.

"Ah~ so you've met. Good, good." He smiled. Erik is his name if I remember correctly but he doesn't come here often if not at all. What caused him to come now?

Please tell me it's not Jade! I looked to the younger girl and there wasn't an ounce of fear on her face, but annoyance showed everywhere as she glared up at him. This only made Erik smile more.

"How are you doing, Jade?"

"Usually, great but seeing as I'm chained to a fucking wall!! Not so much." She smiled condescendingly.

"Tsk, tsk. What kind of language is that?" He frowned.

"The kind that's allowed when your uncle chains you to a fucking wall!!" She seethed. I gaped.

Her uncle!? That's sick! He would treat his own family like this!?

The sound of a slap resonated through the cell signalling how Jade was just slapped. A deep and dark inhumane growl left her lips sending shivers of fright down my spine.

"Oh don't even try. You can't fight me. You're cuffed in silver, and we're all weak to it. I should know..." he sneered before leaving with his two men.

Two others entered and immediately came at me. I was punched and kicked getting winded pretty fast and something broke along the way. With me trying to endure the pain and catch some form of oxygen I couldn't do much. I could tolerate pain for quite some time but being breathless is not something that makes tolerating it easier.

For once my eyes focused on someone not myself. I quickly found Jade to see her occupied by the other man. However, unlike me, she was fighting back. Her only restrictions were her chains.  Because I was focused on her I didn't see the blow to my face coming.

The hit sent me flying to the floor and I knew my lip was busted and my nose had broken from that hit. A dark growl echoed through the room and a menacing aura filled the air. I looked over to see Jade's multicolored eyes glowing in the dark. She pulled at her chains breaking free of them.

Jade moved fast. She kicked the man handling me away from me so hard I heard his bone break before he landed on the floor. Her guy was already down for the count. She rushed over to me gently helping me up.

I noticed that the door was opened which meant that we could escape but in my state wed be caught instantly.

"Go..get, get out of here! You have to...to leave without me!" I wheezed painfully.

"Absolutely not! I just got you back like hell am I leaving you here!!" I shot her a confused look.

"Huh...what are you talking about?!"

"I made a promise! I promised that if I ever found you agaun, no matter what  I won't leave you!" She yelled at me tears gathering into her eyes. I gaped up at her.

I promise... I'll come back.

No! Don't leave me ! Not with him, please??

When I finish have everything I promise you. I'll come back and take you away from here.

Then, then I promise when you come back, I won't let you leave me ever again!!

Short red hair faded to long brown hair, brown eyes turned into multicolored ones. Pale skin turned tanned, a high pitched voice deepened a bit. The Jade in my thoughts shifted to resemble the one my heart knew better.

To the one standing beside me.

"You've grown..." I muttered staring right at her. She looked up eyes staring back at me before she broke into a smile.

"You remembered!" She gave me a breathless laugh "And at a time like this no less! But really you took your time trying to remember me!" I chuckled.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Our heads snapped toward the entrance. There ten men stood "You finally came to your senses and recognized your sister huh?" The, I guess leader, spoke.

"Master Erik said to ensure you remain in your cell." Jade immediately rolled her eyes.

"You can tell master Erik that I said to kiss.my.ass!" She smirked showing off her middle finger.

"Tie 'em up!" He stepped aside.

We fought back but it turns out the normal looking ones were demons and wolves and together they blocked our path. Jade was facing off a wolf when a demon sprang to surprise attack her. I panicked as I knew she saw him but she didn't move and neither could I.

"Jade..!!"
