Symbiote 0302: The Gaia Bracelet (1/2)
Alex obliged Gwen and formed a special bench for her to make sure she could sleep comfortably while getting the perfect tan.
Once that was done, he spent the rest of the time analyzing his state under the effects of the soul connection while having sex. Even when indulging in extremely rough and kinky plays, no matter how excited he felt, Alex made sure that he was always in full control of both the situation and, more importantly, himself.
Today, losing that control he always chased after left him somewhat uncomfortable. He had lost himself to his instincts when in that state, only barely regaining consciousness before it was too late.
âI need to spend more time examining this state ⦠Thankfully, I can control how it works and how deep we connect our souls. That makes experimentation easy. Not to mention, the pleasure is almost addictive.â
Turning his head a little, Alex had the full view of Gwenâs naked silhouette. Unwilling to suppress his urge, Alex extended his arm and put his hand on Gwenâs ass before squeezing her perfect bubble butt and spanking her.
âMm â¦â Her response was a tired and sleepy groan as she turned her head to the other side.
âSheâs really tuckered out .. Hell, even I feel tired after those two continuous shared orgasms. Itâs exhaustion at the level of the soul,â Alex mumbled to himself. Meanwhile, his hand was still on her butt, slowly massaging it. After a while, a thought came to Alexâs mind as he let go of her ass, and a butt plug appeared in his hand.
â¦
After returning from the small vacation, Alex and Gwen found themselves in a somewhat mundane lifestyle that was consistent yet fulfillingâtheir days started with a morning quickie that led them to the shower; then came breakfast, which they took turns cooking; with that done, they went to work at the research center, working together on the latest project that Alex wanted to work on â with zero leads in terms of Cosmic Energy, they had moved their focus away from it for the moment. Lastly, once the day was over, they would come back home and cook dinner before ending the day with a not-so-quick quickie.
Most of those things were there in their routine because Gwen was adamant about living a normal life. She wanted to enjoy everything about a mundane lifestyle.
Although Alex was more inclined toward spending their days solely having sex and researching â sometimes not exclusively â he respected her wishes and even somewhat appreciated that she was taking a stand instead of letting him walk all over her.
Speaking of sex, their weekends had now involved a special event that followed date night, be it shopping, amusement parks, or even a simple long drive. Without a doubt, post-date, the two would continue experimenting with soul sex, always leaving Gwenâs spirituality exhausted. The Sundays disappeared as Alex took care of a tired and needy Gwen. As for Alexâs spirituality, he was
affected, but not nearly as much as Gwen, who was usually left tired and sleeping wherever. The pleasure, however, was off the charts. Alex was yet to find out an actual benefit of it for now, but he was adamant about exploring it very regularly.
Just like that, six months passed by.
âWe did it,â Alex and Gwen were out on an impromptu celebration date on a Thursday night. As Alexâs wine glass clinked with Gwenâs. âTo my beautiful girlfriendâs superhuman levels of intelligence.â
âDonât flatter me. Without the help of already existing nanochip, hologram, and other technological blueprints that you got me, we wouldnât be able to make such a compact device for another two years. Thatâs not even considering the training and development time for the onboard AI that we added. Using an existing, trained model was much easier.â Gwen pushed her hair behind her ear and lowered her head, glancing up at Alex with a glint in her eyes.
âIt was still mostly you. I couldnât use the Mind Stone for the Artificial Intelligence â You know, Ultron and shit.â
âI know, I know. Thatâs why I added the kill switch. Now your dreams of becoming the dictator of a dystopian world are one step closer to reality.â
âYou know thatâs not my plan. Thatâs not even my main purpose for those bracelets.â
âI know, I know. You just want to collect all of the populaceâs data and sell it to an alien civilization.â
Alex looked at her dryly. âWe may have established a viable production line for it, but we still need to make billions of units,â He said. âOnly then will the aliens even consider buying my data. Itâs going to take a long time for that to happen. Even longer to make people transition despite the upcoming governmental policies.â
âYou are so going to turn your empire into a communist empire. And the first victims will be the smartphone manufacturers of the world.â
âA communist model can work if you establish a valid merit system alongside it. Of course, it would probably still fail if the leader of the people isnât an immortal slime with an iron-tight fist. Getting things without working for them makes the average person complacent and an ambitious person resentful.â
âYeah, youâve given me this lecture a thousand times. Iâm still going to call you a communist until you show me otherwise.â
âThatâs going to be a while then. Hopefully, it will not be as long, considering the pace of the factoryâs output.â
âAre they already finalizing the pieces?â
âThey are,â Alex nodded. âIn the past hour, weâve finished the making of more than a thousand pieces. Eight hundred years, and we can finally meet the requirement of seven billion.â
âThen set up eight hundred factories,â Gwen shrugged off Alexâs concerns. âDo you already have the first production model?â
âI do,â Alex nodded with a smile. âDo you want to do the honors of being the first registered citizen of planet Earth-120703?â
âWhat a boring name,â Gwen snorted. âBut yes, I would. Now, give me my bracelet.â
Alex smiled at her excitement and handed her a slick black band that was as thin as a phoneâs charging cable and as wide as her pinky finger.
Without a momentâs delay, she separated its magnetic connector and put it on her wrist before it automatically attached itself back to its magnet.
âGreetings. I am Gaia,â a soft and pleasing feminine voice spoke from the bracelet, audible to both Alex and Gwen. âThis is your first time registering as a citizen of this planet. Would you like to initiate the registration process, or would you like to unclasp?â
Gwen didnât respond and instead tried to open the bracelet. Unlike before, when the magnet separated quite easily, this time, it wouldnât give.
âAttempted forced unclasping. Do you wish to unclasp?â Gaiaâs voice asked again, just as calm and soothing as before.
âNo. I would like to register.â
âThank you, Miss Gwendolyn Stacy. Your information is being pulled from the public database and registered. Please do not try to remove the bracelet during this time.â
Just as Gaia went silent, Gwen spoke to Alex.
âI didnât think that this magnet would work, but itâs pretty robust,â Gwen said.
âYou are the one who designed this,â Alex said.
âNo one is completely confident about their work. Iâm going in expecting to see failures. I can only say that this thing will need at least ten years of refinement to be a truly robust system with minimal errors.â
âItâs a long road ⦠I need to start thinking about sustainable development as well. For now, Iâm happy sucking away the resources of the planets without any replenishment. Itâs not a long-term solution.â
Gwen leaned back on her seat and stretched her arms above her head. âThatâs your headache to deal with. For now, Iâm taking a month-long break before diving into any other projects. Iâm thinking of the Bahamas.â
Alex smiled at the look Gwen was giving him. Whatever my lady wants. We have no leads in particular regarding cosmic energy anyway until we can start monitoring a large number of people with these bracelets.â
âCalibration complete,â Gaiaâs voice suddenly came from Gwenâs wrist. âWelcome, Miss Stacy. Please tell me how you would like me to refer to you.â
âJust Gwen will be fine, Gaia,â Gwen answered.
âAll right, Gwen, would you like me to import your contacts and other necessary information from your phone?â
âYes.â
âAs you wish. Please place the bracelet on top of your phone for five seconds for me to initiate the transfer.â
âOkay,â Gwen tried to take off the bracelet, only for Gaia to alert her.
âNo need to take it off, Gwen. Just place your wrist on your phone.â
âNot bad,â Gwen nodded.
âWould you like for me to introduce the basic features of the Gaia Bracelet?â
âNot at the moment, thanks, Gaia.â
âDo you need anything else?â
âWhat about the neural integration system of the bracelet?â
âThat feature is currently in beta but is free for anyone to opt in by request. To enable the neural interface, you must visit one of Gaiaâs authorized dealers. Would you like to know more?â
âTell me.â
âA small amount of your blood will be drawn for calibration purposes and used by the bracelet as the baseline to attune itself to the frequency of your brain with the use of your vitals. As long as the bracelet is connected to your wrist, the neural interface will be active. To read more about it, please visit the documentation of the Gaia Bracelet Model 1.â
âThanks, Gaia. Goodbye.â
âGoodbye, Gwen.â
âSheâs pretty cool, donât you think?â
âIâm more interested in the data we collect from people once these bracelets are widespread. And that will require power. Even though a large chunk of Gaiaâs system works on a peer-to-peer system, we will still need a nuclear plant to power the base server.â
