Kylen's POV,BACK TO THE PRESENT,"Get inside both of you!", Eleanor roared at us.Kattsy made a face at her."See, your guy finally arrived Ela. And you guys are acting like you are seeing each other for the first time."I rolled my eyes."Kat! He's not my would-be.""Oh. Just because he is late, you can't ditch him. Would you??"Kat paused observing her."Where is your ring?! Did you lose it?", Kattsy grabbed her hand.My eyes widened too. "What's going on here?", I asked."I don't know. Did you break her heart?", she neared me fisting her hand."If you allow me to talk, I can say something!", I glared at her."Excuse me? That's not a polite way-""Guys- calm down.", Eleanor got in between us."Kat and Kylen. Listen to me. Yes, I called up for split with my fiancé.""What?", this time, the crazy woman and I said it in chorus.Eleanor looked at Kat, "Kylen is not my fiancé. I mean he is also not my ex-fiancé.""And Kylen, this is my friend Kat. She stays next door.""I know that.", I snorted.Ridiculous besties."He's not your fiancé? Not your boyfriend?", her blue orbs pupilated in excitement. "Definitely not nice in meeting you.", I sarcastically smiled at Kat.She pushed Eleanor and grabbed my right hand, "So you are single right? My sister too! Wait, I'll give you her number."I shook my head horizontally. What's wrong with this woman?"Kat! You can set up the date later. Kylen must be here for an urgent work. Why don't you get back home? I'll meet you in gym and I will share everything tonight!"Kat winked, "Fine. I ain't running away, handsome.""We will catch up later, hottie.", she waved a hand at Nor before leaving.I slumped on couch, "That blondie is a headache."Eleanor chuckled, "She is a good soul though.""How are you?", she asked crossing her arms."Better than ever.", I rubbed the back of my neck, "I didn't let you speak to me because I was not in the condition to stand the other day. I didn't even let me thank you properly."She occupied the seat opposite to me.We sat silently for a minute or two."Why would you do that?", I asked gazing at her."It wouldn't work out anyways. Shawn and I couldn't drag it more.", she whispered.I stared at her blankly."Did you do that for getting me out, Nor?"She nodded lightly, averting her sight, "Not really.""You must be hating me more. I wrecked your bond.""Let it go, Kylen. I don't wanna talk about it."They would let me go only because of that? Nope."You did something more. You are concealing it!", I was serious."Well, okay! I took the blame over me. I said that I was never kidnapped and it was my plan of eloping."I was stunned."Eleanor, do you even understand the consequences of this liability?! If caught, your prisonment will be double or worse than Sam's and mine."She remained mummed, twisting her fingers.She has gotten herself grounded at home. Not talking to anyone. Man, this was one of the nightmares I never wanted to witness.Well, let me lift her mood a little, maybe.I forwarded the present I had bought towards her.A hint of excitement sounded in her voice, "Is it for me?!""Hmm."She unwrapped to see her favorite palate of chocolates."Finally! Omg. These Sweden dark chocolates! I had been craving them for long now!"She took out one and had it cheerfully.My lips curved witnessing her joy."How did you know they were my favorite?""I'm good at observing, you know. But don't blame me if you get any cavities."She chuckled saying, "Thanks.""How did you fall in love with him?", I asked locking my arms.She blinked her eyes."Don't push me, please. I want to avoid my past right now. Lets not talk anything about my life at all.", she requested.I knew she was not gonna open up. She had piled up everything inside. And that's not safe.I looked around with a shrunk face."What is it, Kylen?", she noticed my uneasiness.I took a breath, "Well, there's something I haven't shared to you about Shawn."She sighed keeping the box on the table."What do you mean?""I had gone to meet Shawn when you had caught fever."She arched her brows."He had gotten to know about your little stunt, that you played out during my engagement.""Holy-"She stood up holding her head, "That is why he hates me, Kylen. I made Shawn to think about me in wrong way. How could I not realize that?!""Well, that's why I had gone to meet him to clear it out and then after trying to convince him-"My voice trailed off."What happened later?", her voice being stern.I looked at her, "He refused to believe that it was an act, and-."She neared me."He used some vulgar words against you.", I gulped down the lump in my throat."I need to know the exact words he used.", she quivered. I stood up, "He said that I had all his permissions to please you, and that he doesn't care anymore."The silence hovered and I didn't dare to look at her until she started moving backwards, holding her head.Her eyes were in pool of tears."I taught him a lesson then and there itself! I have made sure that, he won't dare to do that again ever in his life. But I didn't want to share with you."Her eyes were back on me."Because I saw you happy, Eleanor. You believed he would come back to you. And I didn't want to be the one to quench your last hope.""You terribly did wrong Kylen. I would have called it off immediately! I would have thrown the ring right on his face on the same day!"______Ela's POV,My mind couldn't digest what I just heard."I didn't deserve to hear those words. Not just him accusing me, he literally sold me by saying that, Kylen!"He shut his eyes.I walked around, "I would have called it off for me. I wouldn't have it to call off for you to get out! You wouldn't have ended up in prison. I wouldn't have to anticipate these many days for Shawn's return!""I'm sorry.""Go away.", I spoke."Eleanor-. Don't beat up yourself.""Please. Leave me alone.", I ran into my room, locking it.I couldn't face myself in the mirror. How could Shawn say that after loving me?My mind was clogged. I couldn't think anything straight. Did Shawn really mean it? Are there any chances of Kylen lying to me? Whom should I believe? What should I believe in, God??I rested my back against the door as my body started to tremble.'Why would Kylen lie?', the voice in my mind asked.'No. Shawn can't do that to me. He loved me. He did.', my heart battled.It is your fault, Ela. You announced boldly that you were pregnant with another man's kid without considering the consequences!Shawn is right to be hurt.But he can't think so low of me to say those traumatic words.I kinda tried to imagine Shawn's voice and it sucked. I closed my ears.'Please her as you wish.''Please her as you wish.'Stop it. STOP!!God, please end this paining chapter of my life soon. Please!"Nor, take care. I'm going, as you wished."I heard Kylen's voice before the main door unbolting noise reached me.If I stay alone, I will end up doing something imprudent.  Minutes had passed away while I stood idle. The house had turned lifeless. Did Kylen really leave me?I opened my room's door, rubbing my face. Stepping out, I looked curiously towards the main door.I spotted him inside.Kylen stood near the entrance while his eyes spoke, 'I'm here for you.'I smiled sadly. Why do you know me so well?I ran and threw myself into his arms.
