Ela's POV,I opened my eyes to see pitch blackness. Did I zone out?"Why are the lights still off??!""Shawn! Dad? Mom?"I felt my hands resting on arms of the chair, strangely untied. I kept a foot ahead, balancing myself before a thrust hit me from behind causing my body to collide with a table or a desk, I don't know. My fingers were hurting as they tried to seek firm grip from falling off in this darkness.I was more than terrified. Not knowing what was happening.A hand like a creeper coiled my waist, swirling me to turn. With my chin lifted up, soon a pair of lips tracing mine, locked them into a kiss.Soothing my trepidation.A little subtle, a little delicate, goosebumps rose over my skin.Suddenly a flashlight fell across us with a clicking sound.No. It's not him. My mind scowled at me!Something did feel wrong yet right at the same time.My hands shoved the grip to break the contact, in the process, I felt my lower lip bitten harshly.I let out a cry, letting me released. After a moment, the lights were switched on, and I saw myself surrounded by black painted walls. Where the hell am I?I turned around to see a woman standing at the left corner of the room.I couldn't spot any other human except us."Did you-. Dis you just kiss me?", I asked shrinking my eyes. The woman shook her head vigorously.I approached her with my orbs flaming at her."Who was it? Why am I here?""I don't know anything ma'am. I'm here to take you back home."I squinted my eyes at her, what?"Send me back home?!"Someone grabbed me from behind tying my hands."Let me go!"Wearing my heavily frilled wedding gown I could barely fight back, while the lady in front of me pointed a syringe in air."Why are you doing this to me..."I lost my balance, falling into someone's arms with my senses shutting down. When I gained back my consciousness, I saw myself inside a car this time.Alone.I had a shooting pain in my head.My hands were freed. I checked for the door besides me, and it was unlocked too.Fleeing out of the car, I paused to see my wedding place.Hurrying to the hall, I opened the door to find no-one.I had phone in my hand. Trying not to panic, I dialed Shawn's number. It led me straight to his voice mail."Hey. I'm fine. I'm at the church. Call me back, please.", I left a voice mail.I called my parents. No one answered. I was sweating. Waiting for five minutes, I didn't receive any call.Grabbing a taxi, I went to his apartment."Shawn! Are you there?", I rang the bell continuously. The door pulled back, revealing a depressed teary face."Gosh, Shawn.", I smiled hugging him, "I'm alright. Look at me, I'm back. They let me go-""What do you want?", he asked pushing me away.I did get puzzled for a moment."Shawn-. I know it's bit late. But let's just get married. We can register the complaint later.""Complaint for?"I scoffed, "I went missing for almost a day. That criminal has to-""Why are you even here?", Shawn glared at me."Idiot, to marry you.""Your post doesn't agree with it.", he spoke looking away in disgust.I opened my phone to see my post surfing online, a photo of a man kissing me.I held my head. This is a plot to trap me!God, the flashlight in that dark room was cause of a camera shooting at us.The caption under the photo said, 'The decisions made at last moment are the best. Could never ask more. Loved and blessed.'I looked back at the photo. My hands resting on his chest, it certainly looked like that, while he was holding me in his arms. Only his face outline visible with our lips interlocked before I had pushed him.Brilliant mind to ruin me. But why?!"Shawn. You have to believe me. This is not what you think. They hacked my phone and posted this shit. I wasn't in my senses-""You could have told me that you were seeing someone. You shouldn't have had humiliated me and your family on our wedding day, Eleanor."I shook my head, "I was abducted. I was given some shots. Believe me, for god sake."He shoved his hand away from me, "You plotted the whole kidnapping scene to play innocent now.""Why the hell would I do that?? Why would I get myself go missing for almost a day to end up here begging you to marry me?!", I shouted back.He met my eyes once, "You mean you kissed a stranger on our wedding day romantically, snatching our moments and felt pity for me to come back?!"He chuckled, "The criminal sent you back happily just after a kiss! Do you really think I'm a fool?"There was a brief pause. He's hurt and vexed. He won't understand my situation today. The post must have felt real to him, that I became unworthy, by betraying his love, which he assumes it to be true.I replied looking into his eyes, "There's no fault of mine."He kept his face rigid, forcing himself to avert his gaze.It did pain to see him like this.I shut my eyes as Shawn slammed the door on my face.Letting the knots in my tummy tighten, my heart crawled in agony.
