A Love That Never DiesWords: 7328

Ela's POV, It was time to leave."Keep coming home, dear. You can come and meet me anytime. It doesn't matter whether Kylen or Sam are here or not.""Sure grandma. It was nice talking to you.", I hugged her.The only thing that caught my attention when leaving was a maid trembling behind a pillar. Her gaze fixed on us with terror in her eyes.I felt a little weird. Whom was she afraid of?This mansion is nearer to my house than Kylen's guest house. "Woa. Grandma likes you.", Sam nudged my elbow."She's sweet and a pure soul."The elevator door opened as we three got on to my floor.I was unlocking my door when Kat screamed from behind, "What's the plan for tomorrow guys?!""Dude! I'm gonna die because of an heart attack.", Kylen passed her a look.Sam too was frightened, "Kat you better say a hello before you appear like a witch!""Oh. Get used to it boys.", she shrugged her shoulders."How does your boyfriend tolerate you?!", Kylen shrunk his face.Kat's jaws dropped as she fumed, "Well, my boy is not a scaredy cat like you.""I'm not a scaredy cat. I'm a basic mundane.""I can't see that!""You can't because you are a different species!"Kylen and Kat were waging a war outside my house.Sam and I entered silently."When 2 Ks fight, no way I'm getting inbetween.", Sam remarked.I chuckled going to the kitchen.A minute passed while I was checking for my dinner."What plan was she talking about?", Sam asked peeping into my fridge."Why don't we have a normal mundane day tomorrow?", Kat threw herself on thr couch, stressing the word 'mundane.'Kylen glared at her."Let's not make any plans at all. Let's just have a small hang out at my home. Spend some time together and get back to our boring lives.", I said aloud."Done.""Deal."I raised a brow at Kylen, waiting for an answer."Fine by me.""Wohoo!"The next day,It was almost seven, when we all started playing video games. We were a quintet and we played multi-player games.Kat and I smashed those boys, leaving them stunned by winning the games in chain. Then we played uno and monopoly as well with multiple rounds of snacks and laughs.I saw Kylen and Kat were killing each other like two lost enimies of the past while Sam, Rick and I sticked together.Kat, "We know the best restobar/pub of this neighborhood. Right, Rick? Is anyone up?"I widened my eyes at her, "This was not the part of today's plan.""Haven't you heard the plans made at end moment are always the best?!""I'm in!", Sam threw his hands up, "I need it the most after my ex got hitched up!""Awesome Samy.", Rick gave a thumbs up.Kylen and I were left. We glanced each other at same time."Wine would go for me!", Kylen said.Well, now I was left with no choice. Kat loves to drag me especially when I challenge her a No.Her ocean blue eyes saddened as she made a puppy face."What?""This is your celebration. If the focal point is missing, would it mean anything?"Focal point? What does Kat mean!"I'm the focal point?", I stared at her."Yes.", the boys said in chorus."See, the boys agree.", she winked at me.Kat changed her dress to a bodycon skirt and a top while I remained in my frilled frock with a pair of stocking inside and a pretty shawl to beat the cold.Entering the pub, we played Never Have I ever with shots game. Kylen declined to play.He never let himself get drunk. It was bit weird, the way he cornered himself everytime. I knew there was a lot to learn about him.Kat and her stupid games made my head dizzy and flying.Few of our school secrets and embarrassing moments got out as we laughed around the game.Kylen stood there, sipping his red wine.Kat and Rick got isolated from us as they started to make out, stepping onto the dance floor."Wooh."Sam was already on the trail of making moves on a bunch of women.I sighed occupying a seat next to Kylen, "Single life for the better!""How dare you assume that I'm single?", he crossed his brows.Right. A woman in the guest house."Oh. Well. I forgot.", I chuckled sadly and stood up."You forgot what?"A favorite song of mine was playing on. I started to groove.____Kylen's POV,We were at the club, when she started to move to the beats. Her eyes shut, her hands up in air as she forgot the world around her. She slowly got onto the floor shouting the lyrics. She was high but she was dancing like a pro. Others were just hoping like rabits to the music, but she was enjoying it with defined moves. My lips curved, with my eyes hooked onto her.A man got to her side and tried to hold her waist and she shoved his hands away.He again tried to hold her and this time she stamped his foot.I could hear her shout admist the noise,"Baby, you can't handle me. Get lost!", she passed a threatening glare to him and he ran off.She continued swaging in her own company. She didn't her senses shut even when high. She dodged men easily and took care of them herself. Impressive, indeed.Completing my drink, I got onto her side to see how she would react to me."Hey. You want to dance?", she asked, with a surprised look.I simply nodded to see what would happen. I'm not much of a dancer actually. She made some space for us."Follow me.", she said.It was the disco lights and the pop music. We started with the basic steps, then moved to shoe shuffling, matching the beats."Oh. You are good!", she complimented. We chuckled as we bend in zig zag fashion. No touches, no holding of each other. We were in our own world. There was no body contact yet so much of sparks passed inbetween us, I had to keep resisting myself to not to grab her into my arms so as to not spoil it.People around were judging us as weirdos with the moves we were making.A mutual favorite song started to play. Both of us screamed the lyrics as we were beyond excited. After a good time, both of us came out before the bouncers would kick our asses out because of the noise we made."I always feel I'm born into a wrong generation.""Me too.", I held my tummy."I prefer dance over hook ups! Such an underestimated stress buster the dance is.", she twirled.I hmed. She tugged me by the color of my leather jacket, "You better accompany me everytime I wanna dance."I kept my arms casually on her shoulders, "You will find me by your side whenever you ask for it."Her face turned serious hearing it. I played with her side bangs, tugging the strands behind her right ear.She grinned. Her innocent face sparkled under street lamp."Isn't she Eleanor?!"Nor and I looked at the direction. There stood a woman with Shawn on edge of the street. She stormed towards us while I dropped my hands."How can you do that, Eleanor? You know how much Shawn loved you!"I looked at Nor worriedly before staring at this new witchy face.Man, why does Nor's past have to keep knocking her down."Come on let's go.", Shawn held the woman's hands."No. She needs to know! Shawn is battling a severe stage of depression. All because of you!"Nor gasped hearing it. Her eyes softened on Shawn."Now that I'm in his life, I will ensure that Shawn will forget how to spell your bloody name!"She dared to continue cursing Eleanor and I couldn't simply stand and watch. Before I could step forward, Nor blocked me with her hand placed ahead of me. She shook her head horizontally."You just count your remaining breaths Eleanor!", the woman roared as Shawn dragged her away forcefully.I narrowed my voice, "Now who the hell is she?!"
