Eleanor's POV,"How is Kylen?"I could find a little hesitation in Shawn's voice."He is doing great!", I spoke while he drove the car.His uncle was at the hospital, looking out for professor until Shawn returned."You have the magic to fix everything, Ela.", he sighed."You too have it. You gotta have to believe in it, firstly."His eyes remained on the road. The town was asleep, unlike LA.Forget traffic. There were no vehicles on the street except here and there.A cool breeze accompanied us. We passed by our campus on the way.It reminded me of how I used to sneak out with him in this same car."Those were the carefree days we had.", he smiled."College life it was!"We didn't converse for rest of the ride.Shawn had changed for good. He respected the space between us."Good night.""Good night."Dropping me home, he reversed the drift without sparing any glance at me.He had his own way to calm down from his frustration over his mom."Hey dear.""I was sending your dad to pick you up.", mum spoke, covering my shoulder with her hand."Shawn did.""You alright?"I looked at her, "Yeah. Why?""Nothing.", she patted my head.I had mom's super after a long time. After the dinner, I crashed on my bed. My room felt so good!Yet I couldn't sleep. I know why.My call was answered in a single ring."I miss your arms.", I pouted, rolling over the bed."Nice way of greeting me, Nor.", I could sense his smirk, "Since you miss my arms, talk to them. Not to me."Followed by his words, he sent me a pic.His sweatshirt rolled over, showing his worked out arms."Wooh."He laughed at my reaction. It took me almost ever to catch up, zooming out the pic, "Hey! You are at my place."I was lying on my tummy, swinging my legs."Hm. Seems like I can't stay away from your scent."My cheeks flushed hearing it."How is your professor now?""He is always joyful! We had such a great time.", I said excitedly."A good reunion.""Yep. Also, my college friends are actually planning for a reunion tomorrow, since I'm in Boston.""Wow. Kat will be thrilled to hear about you partying with your old friends admist her wedding havoc.", Kylen teased.I laughed, "She will understand but she is gonna kill me.""Sam and dad are going to a conference tomorrow. And I'm planning to spend some time with grams taking up a leave.""Awesome!"We were conversing like a couple and nothing could make me happier. It wasn't even twenty hours of seeing each other, while both of us were talking like it had been ages. The next day,Visiting the hospital, I delivered mum's food for the breakfast. And then I continued to one of my friend's place where we were catching up.It was a blast as we all had a catch up of our current bussy lives. We are a group of five, the quintet. Two of them currently lived in Boston, one in Seattle and other one in San Fransisco.Because of one emergency call of professor, we all were here at Boston together."When are we meeting Mr. Hottie Leighton?", asked Tia, squeezing my left palm."Do you really want me to officially invite you guys to LA? Can't you shut up and come anytime!""We will be there when it's your wedding!", they gave hi-fi to each other. It pricked my heart for a moment. It was not happening anytime soon until Kylen was prepared.Later, we visited professor, all of us together. The hospital staff were pissed off, cursing us for the noise we made. Luckily, there were no other patients in this floor."You guys will get my dad kicked out with you as well, if you don't stop.", Shawn warned us playfully. We all laughed in chorus.Professor spoke, "These five belong to the most notorious batch I ever taught. My career was at a stake."We all reminisced our memories.I stayed after my friends left the hospital. Professor was resting."Dad has to move to LA with me.", Shawn covered him with a quilt.I nodded, "That's a good idea, though he is not easy to be convinced.""He's no more staying alone, Ela. Either he's coming to LA or I'm moving back to Boston."I smiled seeing Shawn taking up the right decision._____Kylen's POV, "I'm going for a small nap.", grams said after we had lunch."Alright."Since she was taking rest, I opened my laptop.Though I was on leave, I had to write some urgent mails. One work led to another, until the clock ticked five in evening.Forcibly shutting down my laptop, I walked over to grams room."Gramieee! Shall we go for a walk?", I asked going inside. She was still with her eyes closed.Switching on the lights, "Wakey wakey! You won't get much sleep tonight and you will whin over it."No movement. No reply. My heart was pounding. I didn't want to rely on my thoughts right now.I shook her shoulders gently, "Grams?""Please stop fooling around."My voice felt heavy.I called one of Grandma's care taker. She stood up checking grandma's vitals.Shaking her head horizontally, the nurse left me breathless and cursed."She died out of natural death.", she stated. My eyes roamed around. Heat rushed inside me."Did I do something? Did I kill my grandma?", I held my head."No Kylen! She passed away while asleep.""It was a natural death.", she repeated firmly.I couldn't remember what I did in the noon.Everything went blank. I walked backwards, with my head banging. What if I murdered her just like I did to my mom?"You were working on your laptop! You were normal. You didn't do anything.", one of the maids spoke."Everybody is lying. I killed her! I did.""Kylen!" I ran out.
