Ela's POV,"I have a question. Before that I have to ask something else.",Shawn neared me."Go ahead. Ask me anything.",I spoke looking into his eyes."Would you believe me if I showed up with two pretty women claiming that I hadn't kissed them, leaving you miserable on our wedding day?"I replied without having any second thoughts."I would!""You wouldn't, Ela. You would have thrown me out of your life the moment you learnt it. It would be that easy for you.""And that I spent a whole night with those pretty women at their place without worrying much about you. Would you accept me?""What do you mean?", I gulped down."You know what I mean. You stayed with those men knowing what they did to you. You didn't even go to register a complaint against them, Ela!", he shook my shoulders."They promised they would help me. And they did." "You mean cops wouldn't help you sort our relationship?", he paused, "You must have had a great night there, that's why you are defending the culprits. Your face fresh and glowing.""Don't dirty talk with me Shawn.", I pushed him away."Answer me, where were you the whole night then? How can they allow you to be with them?""Yes! I was at Kylen's guest house, and they were not with me! I had no other place after you threw me out of your life!" ,I said in one breath."You're clearly lying. You are framing me for something I never did.""I need time to decide.", he said casually, mounting his tie before leaving me alone.Shattered to the core, my tears froze.Everything went against what I had imagined. I thought Shawn would return to me merrily.Going out, I saw Kylen and Sam curiously waiting for me.I didn't say much to them, and we went back to Kylen's place.Locking myself in the room, I glided my back against the door.I never thought Shawn would think so low of me.Me sleeping with someone on our special day?!It pricked me double the times recalling his harsh words. Was this wedding a mistake, now that I have dodged it?He doesn't hate me. He can't.He needs time, Eleanor. I tried to console myself.I can't stay here. It's not right for Kylen and Sam to take the responsibility of looking out for me anymore.They respect me and they did their best in convincing him.If Shawn doesn't want to accept truth, one can do nothing.Carrying my bag, I walked to the door.I heard Kylen and Sam speaking. But I couldn't concentrate on their words."Guys."They looked at me.I told them I'm going to the library to find a place to live.Kylen approached me asking what happened between me and Shawn there?I reciprocated what Shawn told me, but Kylen saw me hiding something still."What did he say to you?", Kylen asked again.'You must have had a great night there!'Those cheap words echoed in my mind.Mom hadn't replied to my text. No call from them either.I had no-one.I shivered at the thought, kinda losing my balance.Calling my name out, "Eleanor!", Kylen grabbed me.His arms enveloped me protectively."I'm fine." ,I gripped his arms.Wait. He knew my name?!I smiled replying, "You know my name."His concerned eyes watching out for me.I grabbed all my strength to stay on my feet."I'm alright!"He dropped his hands slowly, nodding his head.--------Kylen's POV,We made her sit on the couch. Sam bought her a glass of water.She spoke after a bitter chuckle, "He thinks I slept with both of you, yesternight!"Sam and I were flabbergasted. The cursing words roared in my head, all dedicated to that man.No. He wouldn't have simply said that. There must be something.My phone beeped.While Sam talked to her, I looked into it.Fk. The video of her saying she's pregnant at my ring ceremony. It was floating in groups.It must have reached Shawn too! I'm not sure though.Eleanor pulled out that act for a payback to make me suffer. How would that guy understand this now?Oh god.I rubbed my forehead."I got some urgent work. Sam, take care of her."Sam nodded.Her eyes met mine before I walked away."Shawn is at the conference room. He will be free after 2.""I don't care.", I walked into the room.Everyone's eyes were on me while I looked for him, "Shawn. It's an emergency. "He got up with a rigid face.Excusing himself from the meet, he walked me with me to an isolated place."You better be quick.""Shawn, listen to me carefully."He crossed his arms, "I already talked to her.""Did you find any video of my engagement?" ,I asked straight.He sighed, "We share a friend, mate. Teren attended your engagement after my wedding was called off."Teren. Oh. Hell."I don't know what you percieved from that video. But here's the truth. Eleanor lied in front of my family because she hated me. She is not pregnant. It was all her act to knock me down."Shawn laughed, "If she can lie with such confidence there, how am I supposed to believe she's not lying to me, Kylen?""Are you completely nuts or are you stupid enough to not understand what I have been saying to you? She did that in vengeance! I didn't know her existance until yesterday."He didn't utter a word."I didn't wanted to say. But you are forcing me to say this.", I breathed,"If you want, you can get her a health checkup done and see yourself.""I'm the one in fault. Punish me. Not her!""She bonds quickly with strangers. Doesn't she? It's her charm.", he looked away."You know what, I want to thank you, rather than punishing you.", he grinned, "You saved me from a hopeless marriage. If a woman like her can pull out an act like that, I mean I don't know what to say.""Shawn, don't go there.", I warned him."Fine. I can't bear any of this bullshit anymore. You kissed her, kidnapped her. She seeks a revenge by announcing she's pregnant in your party and then stays at your place delightedly. Everything is beautifully plotted. And I don't know why I am trapped in it."My blood boiled. I literally am surrendering in front of him and he thinks this is all cooked up."Your brain is fed on mud.", I clicked my tongue, "There she is wretched for loosing you. And here you are-. You never wanted to marry her and that's why you are shitting.""Since you think I speak is all crap. Here's the last one, mate.", he neared to me, "I don't care if you have slept with her or not. You have all my permissions to please her as you wish."I lost it.I punched his face right away, with his nose turning into a plump.Tugging him by his collars, "I'll make sure that you won't be having balls when you say that next time."
