ãFufuâ¦That is entirely up to you. Well thenâ¦â¦Let us start!ã
Leoneâs black greatsword that Tiffany wielded stretched further until it pierced the ground, after which it lifted Tiffanyâs body high up into the sky. In an instant, she reached a height where Inglis had to lift her head to see her.
ãâ¦â¦!ã
Once she was there, the black greatsword instantly returned to its original size. Tiffany then set her body up as though she was ready to throw the sword at Inglis and co.
ãFufufuâ¦â¦ã
With a smile decorating her face, Tiffany unleashed her swing. As she did, the Artifact explosively expanded once again. Its shadow cast over Inglis and the othersâ heads told of its enormous mass.
ãSh-, she used it more proficiently than me!ã
Leoneâs eyes were wide open. In Tiffanyâs hand, the Artifactâs gift was indeed considerably faster, larger, and more hectic.
ãNowâ¦How about this?!ã
ZWOOOMMM!
The gargantuan black blade roared as it was swung down. With its momentum coupled with its mass, should it be left alone, it will cut the Flygear Carrier in half.
As much as sheâd like to receive such an attack head on, even if Inglis were to receive it with her ice sword, the impact behind it would still be transmitted to the Carrier, crushing the hull under her feet. She canât have that happen.
Then, how about this!
Inglis kicked the floor of the ship under her and jumped to where the blade was.
ãâ¦â¦?!ã
Tiffany showed a puzzled expression for a moment. Itâs not hard to see why, as to her, Inglis appears to jump in to take the attack by herself. However, that is her best solution here where she has to protect the Flygear Carrier. She twisted her body, readying her stance, then Inglis swung her leg and struck hard at the side of the blade!
ãHyaah!ã
KAVOOOMMM!
A slightly dull metallic sound reverberated loudly throughout the sky. The direction of Tiffanyâs slash was greatly careened from its original course by the abnormally strong impact.
It no longer aimed at the hull of the Flygear Carrier and instead fell to the ground below.
It made a large hole in the deep snow, rolling up a huge column of snow in its wake.
ãOh dear, I never thought you would deflect itâ¦â¦ã
Tiffany couldnât help but be amazed. To receive an attack, one would showcase their strength. To evade an attack, one would showcase their skill in measuring distance. However, to deflect an attack, one needed both strength and skill working in tandem.
They must be able to foresee the trajectory of the sword being swung down, measure the best distance to take action, and strike the side of the sword with unbelievable force. And that was exactly what Inglis did.
There was no one under Tiffanyâs command who could imitate such a feat. No, even Tiffany herself was doubtful if she could do the same thing. The problem is that Tiffany wouldnât even take any action if she was in a similar situation.
That being said, that Runeless girl was abnormal. She was Runeless, she didnât possess an Artifact, she didnât even use any Mana, and yet she managed to handle an attack from a Hyrule Menace like her so easily! Tiffany couldnât form any logical explanation for why Inglis could do what she did at all.
In other words, it was possible that Inglis was an unknown entity that was undisclosed even to Tiffany. And one can never be too careful fighting against such an enemy. In order to rise to the top in the Highland society, she had no room for failure.
This whole ordeal was no longer as easy as destroying a Flygear Carrier for precaution. She couldnât be negligent with Inglis. She had to focus on Inglis alone and thoroughly finish her!
Tiffany turned her attention to Inglis who should still be in the air. She deflected her attack brilliantly, but that should have thrown her into the sky, making it difficult for her to control her posture. Tiffany wouldnât let that pass, and gave chase toâ¦
ãâ¦â¦?!ã
However, Inglis was nowhere within her line of sight. She was so startled that her mind was distracted but for a moment, yet Inglis had already disappeared!
ãIâm here!ã
ã!!!ã
At that moment, Inglis was running up on the blade of the black greatsword. The sword, stretched long and pierced into the ground, was the perfect foothold and path for Inglis to tread on. She controlled her posture midair, jumped on top of the blade, and ran up to Tiffany in a flash.
ãThis belongs to Leone, you see!ã
I will have you return it!
Inglisâ roundhouse kick struck true at Tiffanyâs back.
ãKyaaaaah?!ã
Tiffany plunged and crashed to the ground. Using the feedback of her kick against Tiffany, Inglis launched herself back onto the Flygear Carrier. She was also holding Leoneâs black greatsword Artifact that had returned to its original shape in her hand.
ãHere, Leone. I return it to you.ã
And she gave it back to its rightful owner.
ãTh-, thank youâ¦â¦U-unbelievable movements you did there, as always⦠Moving like that so high in the sky, are you not scared?ã
ãIâm not. I like fighting in the air, you see.ã
There was no such thing as Flygears and Flygear Carriers back in her days as King Inglis, so she never fought in the sky on those days. It was an experience she would never have had if she wasnât reborn as Inglis Eux. It was fresh and interesting terrain to fight on, not a bad one at all.
ãHahahaâ¦ã
Leone gave out a peal of strained laughter.
ãHow is it, Glis? You think that put her down?!ã
ãAs if. A Hyrule Menace wonât break over something that trivial. I will be continuing our fight, so Iâm going down!ã
Inglis said before she kicked the handrail of the Flygear Carrier, leaping to the air.
