ãIIIIAAAAANNN!!!!ã
Lahtiâs heart-rending cry echoed out as he lost his best friend.
ãKghâ¦â¦! Ianâ¦â¦!ã
ãWhat are we even to the Highlanders!ã
Leone bit her lip, and Liselotte cast her eyes down.
ãâ¦â¦Unforgivable! Even death canât fix his crooked personality!ã
Rafinha stood up, eyes blazing with anger.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
ãRani! Is Pullum okay already?ã
ãYeah. I donât know why, but Iâm in tiptop shape! I managed to heal her faster than I thought.ã
This might also be the effect of Dragon Roar. It wasnât surprising at all that Rafinha, after eating as much dragon meat as Inglis, would also be affected by it. Considering that she didnât seem to have heard Vufailbaneâs voice earlier, she might have just awakened her power now, or perhaps the Dragon Roar in her wasnât the kind that was suitable to hear Vufailbane. Nobody could tell for sure.
ãPullum is fine now, although she fell asleep from exhaustion. Come on, Lahti, take her inside and lay her in a bed. Sheâll catch a cold out here.ã
ãGot it! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!ã
ãYour Highness, let me help!ã
ãSure, Luwin. Please do!ã
Lahti and Luwin worked together carrying Pullum into the house.
ãNow, Glis, letâs go and avenge Ian! Whereâs Abel?!ã
ãâ¦â¦I donât know yet. But, if he is to show up⦠I think heâll be there.ã
Saying that, Inglis pointed in the direction they came from, the deep depression of the former town of Lekrea, where Vufailbane was enshrined.
Tiffany the Hyrule Menace claimed that she came to this country as Abelâs successor, and that taking the land of Lekrea by the means of ãLevitation Magic Formationã was Abelâs plan that she inherited.
The Hyrule Menace herself didnât seem to know that Dragon God Vufailbane was sealed underground. She probably wasnât told much about it, considering she and Abel didnât seem to be on good terms with each other.
While Abel, the planner of that operation in the first place, must have known that Vufailbane was slumbering under Lekrea. It was too much of a coincidence that a Dragon God happened to be buried in the land that he had set his sights on for the next Highland territory.
It was much more natural to assume that he had known about it beforehand. If that was the case, then it was obvious that his target would be the Dragon God Vufailbane.
Which means, he would only show up in front of the Dragon God. A simple guess.
ãIâm sure that he is trying to do something to the Dragon God, to Vufailbane.ã
ãEeh?! Thatâs bad news! We were just about to have him understand us! If something happened to him, we wonât get the delicious meat anymore!ã
ãWell, weâve already stockpiled quite a lot of it. But, more importantlyâ¦ã
As for Inglis personally, the venerable problem was that Vufailbane had lost his will to fight her. She would be grateful if Vufailbane would join forces with Abel and attack her together, thinking that they might get the opportunity to win
Even though he wasnât as strong as Vufailbane, Abel was quite capable himself. The possibility existed. Although, Inglis had no idea what kind of state Abel was in right now, since he died once before.
ãMore importantly what?ã
ãAh, itâs nothingâ¦â¦Hmmâ¦ã
It would be amusing to let Abel swim around a bit more, she would be lying to say that it didnât strike her interest.
ãHello, Glis? Youâre not thinking âOh, if we leave him alone for a while, he might become an even stronger enemyâªâ, are youâ¦â¦?ã
ãEHâ¦â¦?! No, no, no, Iâm not. Itâs just, you know, Iâm thinking that it would be really helpful if we saw through all of his plans and made a detailed report of it to Brother Rafa and Special Envoy Theodoreâ¦like, for future references? So, why donât we just let him swim a little bit more and see what he is up to?ã
ãNo can do! Glis, you blew up the Royal Grand Theater exactly because of that attitude! This isnât about the future, this is about the now. I wonât let any more tragedy happen in Lekrea, for Ianâs sake too! We have to foil Abelâs plan! Come on, chop chop!ã
Rafinha grabbed Inglisâ hand and pulled it. Inglis couldnât refuse it, not when she phrased it like that. Not only because of her position as a Squire, but also because it was a request from the Rafinha that she holds dear.
ãOkay. I get itâ¦ã
Inglis and Rafinha boarded the Star Princess unit again. Leone, of course, followed suit, while Liselotte didnât board it. She instead soared into the air with the wings of her Gift. When the Star Princess unit gained high enough altitude, Liselotte gripped the edge of its hull with her hand, prepared to accompany the vessel.
ãLetâs make haste!ã
Right after Rafinha said that and set the Flygear on full throttle, a loud rumbling occured, and the surrounding forests began to shake.
The epicenter of the occurrence was near the location where Vufailbane was enshrined, exactly where Inglis had pointed out. Cracks appeared on the ground, and they were spreading rapidly.
