Walking into the dining hall for breakfast, I smiled at Lindsey. She looked happyâ¦relaxed. I could feel her happiness. She laid her hand on top of mine and whispered âYou are that little girl, arenât you? The one who bit that boyâs fingers off?â I noddedâ¦and she smiled âI am so sorry that happened to youâ¦but too bad it wasnât his dickâ I choked on my eggs. I looked up to see Falcon laughing! He leaned and kissed me saying âI love you, bunnyâ I laughed.. âBunny?â He nods and whispers âyou keep going and goingâ¦..â then he laughs. I love this man!
I look across the table to see the demon sisters and asked them if they had been served lemons for breakfastâ¦and Allison snaps âyou just canât help being a bitch, can you? You destroy my family and make jokes about it!â I laughed âFirst offâ¦I didnât destroy your family. You have dear old dad to thank for that! And itâs not destroyed at all. Your mom is happier than I have ever seen her. As for being a bitchâ¦Nopeâ¦donât wake up and think âTodayâ¦I will be a bitchâ ..you just bring it out in meâ and I smile.
I ask Falcon âwhat did you decide to do about Robert?â He shrugs âHavenât decided. Right now heâs in the cellsâ¦not sure what Iâm going to do. He was in alliance with usâ¦and made the conscious choice to betray that alliance.. I could just kill him. So see? Undecidedâ I look over at my aunt and ask how sheâs doing with Marcus away and she smilesâ¦âHe calls me twice a day to make sure Iâm okay. Iâm good.â I nodâ¦looking at Axel and ask him if he got ahold of Robertâs phone and he asks why? I tell him âWe can hack it and get a tracker on Emmettâs phone number. He jumps up and runs out of the room.
I look at Falcon and say âI didnât mean this second!â We laugh and he says heâs eager. Pete asks âAlpha, will you take a meeting with Lindsey and myself this morning?â Falcon nodsâ¦saying absolutely! So we all head to the office.. We get situated and I plug Robertâs phone into my laptop to run my program against it to hunt for Emmetâs cell.. Allison and Charlotte are sitting on the sofa ..whispering to each other. My ladies are decorating for our ceremonies on the full moon in three days. Falcon is waiting patiently for Pete to speak, when the phone rings. Falcon answers and hits speaker⦠âGo ahead, Marcus⦠youâre on speakerâ¦I am here with the New Alpha and Luna.. so report. New alpha and Luna? Yes. Long story. Robert is in the cells. Okay..wellâ¦wow⦠I have spoken with two-thirds of the pack and no one can verify any attacks. Thatâs kind of what I figured. Falcon asks âPeanut?â I giggleâ¦âyeahâ¦I donât know whyâ I go back to tracking phone numbers and Falcon asks Pete âWhy? Why did all of you lie?â Peter responds âI was under Alpha oathâ¦if you noticed, I didnât speak at allâ¦It went against everything in me to play it this way! Brady laughs âDamn Luna! Tell us how you really feel!â and even Lindsey and Peter laugh! Peter says âAlpha Falconâ¦I would like to negotiate an alliance with Amber Mountain Packâ¦for trade, commerceâ¦and warrior training. I am ushering our pack into a new era. There will be absolutely no contact with any Culverâ¦and I will never permit any member of our pack to betray our alliance. Will you consider giving us a chance?â Falcon nods and replies âI have been in your mind, Peter. I know you to be an honest man! Bradyâ¦draft an alliance withâ¦is the pack name remaining the sameâ¦Okay then â¦with Midnight Sierra Packâ¦Alpha Peter and Luna Lindsey Bridger⦠Nowâ¦letâs go to the cellsâ¦we have an alpha title to strip!â And I say âI wanna goâ¦.their family was ranked zeta so I want to watch him collapse in on himself! Walking into the jailâ¦..I whispered..âThere has to be a way to allow for air circulation, at least, the guards are breathing this inâ¦..They shouldnât have to smell this stench⦠every day. Itâs almost like theyâre being punished, too!â Falcon agreed and told me he would arrange it.
As we got closer to Robertâs cellâ¦I could see how defeated he looked. If I didnât know what his brother is capable ofâ¦and what he had done..I would feel sympathetic. As it was⦠although, he might not be evil to the coreâ¦he didnât try and stop himâ¦
Falcon stepped up to the cell and spoke âRobert, I donât understandâ¦We have known each other for yearsâ¦I never took you for someone who would harbor criminalsâ¦exploit his own daughters..or abuse his mate.. You had risen above what your family had doneâ¦and you let your brother draw you in. Robert Culverâ¦You are hereby stripped of any and all strength and rights of Alphaâ and Robert dropped to his knees! I felt the power shift to Peter and we walked to the pack house together.
Peter turned to us â My mate and I will be getting out of your hair. Did you want me to arrange transport for Robert to return to our pack? Essentially, he betrayed the alliance he had with you..but he betrayed our entire pack. And I plan to put him on trial for what heâs doneâ and Falcon agreed. Itâs time to get him away from Anna
