Chapter 17: Chapter 17~ I wanna spar

Falcon’s POV~

Today is the Luna’s ceremony…and it feels almost like a normal day….Well..as normal as it can be, when there’s a sociopath wanting to do whatever he’s planning…with the love of my life. Preparations have been underway for nearly two weeks…and today, my sweet Anna was on pins and needles since morning…she is soaking in a tub of lavender oils, and apparently, the ladies decided I can’t see her until time for the ceremony. Which is what all us guys were told..and given express orders to “have a great last day of bachelorhood and meet them at the altar at moon rise.” That was seven hours ago! Seven hours without my love…and here I sit…with only an hour left to go and it seems it’s my turn for needles and pins.

Sitting in the office with the guys, they look as nervous as I feel and we are sipping scotch. Not to appear eager…but I’ve been dressed and ready since 4..and it’s 8 now. And Marcus has made fun of us all day! Speaking of…he walks in the door grinning “Dude…you’re positively green…kinda clashing with that amber tie! Might want to have another two fingers of scotch…or 14… we need to get this show on the road” We laughed…and realizing this is happening now, my nerves settle and excitement sets in!

I look down the aisle as the ladies line up to start the walk…Belinda first…in a lovely forest green gown..followed by Bonnie..in blue…Sabrina is next, in a gown of ruby red…and they are all beautiful, I’m sure. But they’re all a blur…I am anxiously waiting for my one! My love! And, finally! There she stands…in a form fitting mermaid style gown of amber…with black sequined accents..fitted bodice and hugging her curved.. Her hair atop her head with flowers interspersed throughout. She’s a vision! She starts her walk to me and I see her smile light up her entire face!

Belinda and Marcus were the first to complete their rites…Marcus’ power increased with his Delta promotion..Then, Axel and Bonnie…they only had the binding ceremony because Axel’s rank was set in stone.. next were Brady and Sabrina..their rites were the same as Axel’s. I turned to my love…

“Annalise Berlin, do you swear to live your life in service to Amber Mountain Pack and her people? To protect…defend..to provide comfort and love…and to always stand ready for any and all transgressions against our people?” She smiled “I do so solemly swear” I held her hand up against mine…with the dagger held between our palms.. rapidly drawing the blade down between them and clasping our hands firmly together. A blinding light flashed over us and a rush of energy infused the entire pack…. She looks at me and asks “What the fuck was that??” I’m not sure…but I believe it’s time for another look at that book on spirit wolves!

I yelled “Let’s Run!” And we all shifted, racing through the forests! Bethany and Othello veered to the west..chasing and frolicking…enjoying their time together.. He nudged her and tilted his chin, indicating to follow. He brought her to a waterfall…emptying into a beautiful mountain stream.. There, they completed their mating…as he knotted…he marked her as a wolf.. Bethany turned and marked his huge neck. All his memories meshed with hers. He saw everything… He could feel the love she’d grown up with…he felt her loneliness… he feels the love she holds for Bethany. And the absolute devotion she has for Othello and himself. He whispers into her mind “This is amazing! I feel, as if, I know you, as well as I know myself” When they separated…they ran home and made love until the dawn. The entire pack felt the shift, as their leaders unified!

The morning had barely begun…when notification popped on the laptop…alerting us to the position of Emmett’s cellphone. I immediately dialed Peter. “Alpha Bridger” I said “Pete! Culver is about 30 miles from your pack…Are you okay? I can send help…it will take a couple hours. Just say the word.” He responds “I had a feeling something like this is going on. Cyrus Culver called yesterday wanting to speak to Robert. When I informed him of the stripping of his son’s title and his imprisonment…he lost his mind a bit”

I asked “What do you need?” After several minutes he answers “I believe I will take you up on your offer. Maybe twenty warriors? I would greatly appreciate it!” I looked at Marcus and he said “Already on it..they leave in twenty “ I returned to the call..”the warriors are on their way, keep us updated!” And hung up.

Belinda jumps up “Guys…guys! Listen to this…it’s the last entry in the book!

“What’s it mean, do you think?” she asks. Anna smiles at me “It’s what happened! Beth and Othello relived each other’s lives when they mated! Does this mean their souls were together before? What’s Othello’s take on it?”

“Othello isn’t sure…but I think he’s lying. He said he needs to do it again to refresh his memory. Which tells me he’s just horny!” I laugh! She laughs back saying “yep…sounds about right…Bethany agrees with him!” And she giggles! That delicious sound sends tingles down my spine!

Brady and Sabrina walk in…being followed by Axel, Bonnie and Marcus.. I fill them in on what Belinda found and Axel remarks “ That’s the wave of energy that washed over the pack when the ceremonial blood mixed! Marcus and I have noticed our warriors have exceptional strength and speed today.”

“The twenty we sent to Peter? They have this additional benefit as well?” I want to know. Marcus piped in “I’d like to know that, too! I have already had to adjust training methods twice! It’s fascinating!” Looking at Marcus, I ask “When Flaming Rose was overrun, did you notice Emmett ever being with an older man? I ask..because Peter said Cyrus called him to speak with Robert. We need information about the father…Axel, you can help Anna with researching him…he has to have left a trail! We need to find it”

Anna says “my daddy’s journal said he was a weaponsmith by trade…maybe he continued with that.. I will start there!” Marcus grins “Let me make some calls…I have a couple friends that deal in that field. And Falcon, I recall an older man…probably 60- ish visiting Culver a few times”

Sabrina asks “There were three children living at home when they were banished…where are the other two? Are they still involved in this “family business “ Cyrus has seemingly started?” I nodded…”really good question! Okay…seems like we have plans today! Come men! I have a need to test our new strength!” Anna jumps up “I wanna spar!!” And ran out the door..
