Chapter 18: Chapter 18 ~You are the perfect Luna

Anna’s POV~

We sparred for about two hours… I had just sprung off the ground to land an elbow to Falcon’s ribs..when he flung his arm up to stop me. Sending me flying into the top of a tree. I yelled down “What the fuck was that!!? Holyyyy shit!” His face was a mass confusion “I don’t know…I was just aiming to stop the attack.. I didn’t mean to fling you. I mean..I don’t…I didn’t…well, what the fuck!?” I laughed…and laughed again.. “That’s some power you’ve got there. Just gotta work on your delivery!” The entire pack was laughing..

“Sooo…I can control weather..every aspect of it…you have mind sight..and whatever this telekinetic thing is….Realllyyy have to master that shit, though! And I wonder if there’s anything more. We definitely need users manuals to guide us!” I laughed!

Axel is yelling “Let me down! Stop spinning me! Falcon! This isn’t funny. Great! All the blood is rushing to my head! Anna! Make him stop! I really hate you, bro!” And I’m laughing so hard my sides hurt. Falcon decided to practice his power with Axel as his guinea pig. He had him up..in the air…he spun him like a baton through his fingers..hung him upside down…sent him high into the air..letting him plunge back down, stopping him two feet above the ground.. and Axel looking like he’s going to hurl! Good times! Falcon was cracking himself up.. While Brady and Marcus were running back to the house. Which made me laugh harder, when Falcon closed the back doors and they both ran face first into them. He yelled “Cowards! Come back and help me learn!” Playtime was over and we headed inside to clean up and get to work!

I am chasing myself down a rabbit hole with this whole Cyrus thing.. “Axel..I’m stumped! Cyrus fell off the face of the planet nearly five years ago! Just walked away from his job. It looks like his mate died..and he disappeared. The second son is living with his mate’s pack in Canada. A non-ranked warrior..his name is Xavier…and there is a girl, named Rebecca…twenty-three…mated and living with her mate in Georgia. Looks like they are lone wolves and has refused contact with her family after the mother died. Smart girl! Sooo helllpppp mee please???”

Axel is going about researching and I had just gotten a cup of coffee to relax with…and the phone rang., “Falcon” Lindsey’s voice said “We’re under attack.. Pete and your men have them on the run towards the north… but Falcon.. my daughters…helped Robert escape. We believe Allison contacted that Elmer fellow and this is the aftermath.” Falcon loop groans “Keep me updated.. the three of them know about Annalise and I will not take chances with her life…even at the expense of your daughters!”

I laugh! “Elmer! Oh Goddess! That’s funny! My new name for the douche! Elmer Fudd! Shhh…be vewwy quiet! I’m hunting wabbits! Hah! Love it!!” Falcon shakes his head chuckling “I love that little things make you laugh!” I laugh louder “Oh come on! That’s funny! Hunting? He has two fingers missing! It’s funny!” Axel mumbles “it’d be funnier if it was his trigger finger!” That cracked me up!

Sabrina suggests “What if we contact Robert’s former allies? He has to have friends..right? Maybe he will seek refuge with?” Falcon smiled “Really good idea! You and Brady start calling the Alphas closest to him first..and move out to reach the ones closer to us!” Looking up I say “He’s ditched the phone. It’s signal died on Midnight Sierra’s land. So Allison spilled that little bit of info! I’m banking she has told him everything she knows about us, by now.”

Axel shouts “Found a number for Rebecca’s phone number! What say we give her a call just to see if she’s willing to share anything with us? It can’t hurt!” I nod “give me the number….I’ll call her!”

Putting the phone on speaker…waiting to see if she answers “Hello?” I bounce in my seat “Hi! Is this Rebecca Culver?”……” Used to be.. I’m Rebecca Smith now. I don’t want to be associated with the Culvers. I won’t have my children exposed to that toxicity… Who is this and why are you calling me? I don’t want to hear about them and I don’t want to talk to them! Xavier and I have disowned them!”

“My name is Annalise Berlin Rivera… my family has a history with yours. I recently found out Emmett has had an unhealthy obsession with me for a couple years. And your oldest brother has been helping him. Recently, we learned he knows where I am… why I am calling you is to ask…Do you know of anywhere he may hide..or anyone who might provide him refuge?” I’m hoping she can help.. “I’m sorry, Anna. My mother and I had no idea why we were banished. Your father didn’t announce it to the pack..and we know it was to spare us. Xavier found out five years ago everything that had led up to the banishment. He told mom and me…and we confronted Dad and Emmett. Cyrus attacked Xavier and beat him unmercifully…and when my mother stepped in to stop it…he killed her. Xavier and I ran that night. Cyrus was working with hunters on biological weapons to kill weres..so if anyone is offering them refuge..I believe that would be a good place to start. I wish I could offer more help but I severed all ties that night five years ago. I am truly sorry for the pain my blood put you through “ I replied “Thanks.. But I don’t hold you responsible. You were a child too!” Hanging up….I look at Falcon and he pulls me into his lap.

Bonnie asks “Are there any ways we can locate the hunters he was working with? Don’t they have registered organizations now? They have to be sanctioned by the were council, don’t they?” Falcon shouts “Bonnie! You’re a genius! Axel…locate the hunters….we need to have a talk..barring that…we need to pay them a visit”

Brady suggests “There’s a rogue camp close to the western border, remember? We let them hunker down there last year to wait out the winter? Their spokesman made a deal with us to stay out there, as long as no new ones joined…. It’s mostly familes..little pups. I think there’s maybe twenty adult males. They are the ones in most danger from hunters. They might have information we could use?”

I grinned “Ladies… let’s pack up some care packages…blankets…kids clothes..jackets…toiletries…and maybe several boxes of nonperishable food items… things to make their lives a little easier? Check with parents who have toys they may be planning on donating…..pups need things to entertain themselves with! I want to go out there this afternoon!”

Falcon had such a strange look on his face….”What?”…. He smiled so sweetly and shook his head “You are the perfect Luna!”
