Han looked down from his high position as he heard Quinthreath shout. Han looked Quinthreath right in the eye with a frown as he made the meteorite travel faster! Stop it!? Why!? Give me a good reason! Is it because you see that I am far stronger than you now?! Youâre just trying to use my humanity to appeal to me since your violence wouldnât work!? You would have done far worse if you were in my shoes! If you wonât join me then Iâll rather just kill all of you and try somewhere else!
Iâm not asking for your servitude! Iâm demanding it!
Quinthreath grit his teeth and he could feel his pride dying inside him! He couldnât say the words that he needed to. Just one word would stop all of this, but it was like he would die if he said those words! A man that has lived a thousand years being threatened by a boy who hasnât even lived for a hundred years!? Where is this right!?
But if he doesnât say it then he will be putting the life of his people at risk. He will just be killing all of themâ¦
Quinthreath sighed as his hand loosened and he said.
âIâll sign the contract of submission! Iâll sign it, so please, stopâ
The meteorite immediately vanished from the sky and Han began to fly down from the sky till he was looking directly at Quinthreath. All the soldiers on the ground could only watch in shock as their king gave up and granted his entire kingdom to this newcomer. They were both mages, but it was obvious from the start who was stronger.
âIâll sign the contract, but on one condition. I need reassurance that this will not end with the death of my family. I need you to give me your word that you will reassure meâ
Quinthreath knew all about takeovers that end with the death of the royal family so that the new king would not have any form of competition for the throne. These takeovers were so common on the higher floors that Quinthreath would not have been surprised if Han simply refused the offer completely. But he was shocked when Han nodded his head and agreed.
Quinthreath sighed before putting out his hand, he had nothing left to say. He has been defeated completely. Han touched the black star there and they signed the contract immediately.
[Host has signed a new contract of submission. The host has gained 9,543 followers. Calculating EXP gained. 10%â¦20%â¦30%â¦]
Gregory already killed a lot of the men, but at least their number isnât that bad. Han turned out the notification tab and instead focused on what was happening as Quinthreath moved back and suddenly fell to one knee. It was kind of funny because the guy was still floating in the sky! His flight skill must be unbelievable for him to have this kind of control. Well, heâs a black Star, after all, I have to stop being surprised by the impressive things he does.
âAll hail, King Han!â
The fuck?
The silence in the area was almost nerve-wracking and Han almost thought there would be a riot with how everyone was acting, but after a while, they began to drop their weapons and fall to their knees as well. Their chorus made the entire floor rumble!
âAll hail, king Han! All hail, king Han! All hail, king Han!â
Gregory smiled up at Han with a chuckle before he also dropped to one knee and chanted with the others. Han closed his eyes and smiled at the idiot. These people were going to make his ego burst!Ã
But he was one step further towards his goal now. Just a bit more and he will be ready to face those Celestials. Just watch, heâs going to be the greatest there ever was, and no one will be able to stop him from achieving it.
â¦â¦
In the void where Dorea always resides, there was no one there this time. Dorea had been summoned by a council of Celestials suddenly and she had to leave her place to meet with them. She was extremely nervous whenever she goes to meet the Celestials. That scientist had put the fear of god into her, so meetings like these are usually seen as a bad omen.
Dorea hoped that she wouldnât be asked about anything concerning Han. She was sure that her mental shields were strong, but would they be able to stand up to the Celestials when they were really trying to get information out of you? I donât think so!
Dorea was standing in the middle of a half-circle table where three figures were seated. The person that spoke up first was Yggrain, the man that gave the scientist permission to go to the Temple in the first place. He was currently being overworked because of how much trouble he was in. His stress came mainly from the fact that the creator was not happy with the way he handled the scientist, but there was something even bigger messing with his mind. And that was the Administratorâs Control.
If this news got to the creator, then things would get even worse!
âThe scientist is dead.â
Dorea blinked curiously. Her head was bowed and for the first time in her life, she looked up and stared into the eye of a Celestial in disbelief. She mustâve heard wrong. What did you say?
âDorea, are you hearing me? I said the scientist is dead. His Celestial light went out on the fifty-first floor and we have confirmed that his essence disappeared after he was engulfed in fireâ
Yggrain looked at Dorea closely. He studied her face like he was studying a novel. He just needed to see a twitch. Even a hint of something that would tell him she knew what he was talking about already. If Dorea already knew the scientist is dead, then she also knows more than that. This is what Yggrain thought.
Dorea tried her hardest, she really did! But she couldnât stop the loopy smile that snuck out from her lips. Yggrain narrowed his eyes at her, but he didnât do anything. He wasnât surprised she was happy. Many people didnât like the scientist after all, and for some reason, that scientist made it his personal mission to destroy Dorea when he was her handler. People didnât like much of what he did but they couldnât care less what a Celestial did to the lesser people so it was usually overlooked, but Yggrain could clearly see the sort of damage the scientist did to Dorea. Her being happy was not what he was looking for.
Yggrain leaned back. It seems that she was just as surprised at the news as he was. She didnât know about it before he told her. Well, since that was already in the clear he had something else he wanted to deal with.
He brought out a file and started to speak.
âSince he was your handler, that means you donât have anyone handling you now. I know that you want to get back to your job as soon as possible so weâre going to assign you a new handlerâ
Dorea sneered internally. Who wants to get back to her job!? I donât like anything Iâm doing here! This isnât anything like I thought the celestial plane would be like. You people have lived for thousands of years, and you still understand nothing about mortals!
Yggrain completely ignored the look on Doreaâs face as he continued.
âWe came to the first decision that we should give the job to someone that is already in the Temple. I believe you already know about Dyana. Sheâs been in the Temple for some time now and we believe that she can handle you properly, but for some reason, we canât find her anywhere. Tell me, you wouldnât happen to know where she is, right?â
Yggrain suddenly looked up at Dorea with narrowed eyes and Dorea immediately knew that this question was a trap! A trap that he was trying to use to find out where Dyana was!
So that is why they called me here in the first place! They know that Iâm one of the only people that can move Dyana quickly without anyone knowing. And since I didnât have any handler at the time when the scientists left, they donât have any way of knowing if I did it or not.
A cold sweat ran down the back of Doreaâs neck ad she shook her head.
âNo, I donât know where she is. Last I heard, wasnât she on floor fifty?â
Dorea tried to keep her voice as steady as possible. Nothing could betray her real thought or else it was the end! Yggrain was still looking at her with those threatening eyes and Dorea was starting to feel pressure coming down on her. She swallowed softly before Yggrain finally looked away.
âWell. If you say that then I guess there is nothing you know. Weâll send you a handler at the end of the day so you can just go back to your post.â
Yggrain smiled at Dorea and it made her entire body shiver in fear. She had to warn Yuuma about this, but she has to be careful with how she does it. There is no way she is going to be contacting any of her friends, at least for now. The Celestials will be watching her like hawks!
âT-Thank you, sir. Iâll excuse myselfâ
Dorea opened a portal behind her and then walked back into it. Once she was gone, Yggrain lost his smile and closed his file. He had to keep a close eye on Dorea from now on. It didnât look like she was involved in the scientistâs death, but he could never be too sure. He has to find a handler he can trust and put that person in charge of her.
He had the intention of finding out where Dyana went so he can at least give the creator something in compensation for his mistake before, but he will have to do more digging first!
