Han noticed the skill she was using but he ignored it. It wasnât anything harmful and the scanner canât see through this [Ring of Invisibility] so she can search all she wants. Once that was done, Risque explained exactly what she invited them all to the room.
âI think it is about time for us to hunt the Kraken,â
Gasps echoed through the room as the entire Wyrven guild was shocked! They looked at Risque like she grew another head! What kind of madness is she talking about! They havenât hunted that monster all this time because it is a black star level!
âNow that this man is here, it is going to be possible for us to do it! He is strong enough to rival the tenth king! Do you even know when we will have this kind of opportunity again!?â
Han didnât understand what the hell they were talking about and so he told Risque to explain properly. He didnât like vague things like what she was saying. Risque nodded and began to explain.
The Kraken was a monster that plagued the ocean on this floor. The Kraken blocked the pathway through the ocean and prevented the people here from using the second portal on the western side of the floor. The Kraken appeared for the first time about fifty years ago and Risque suspected that it only appeared because it has finally grown into its full age. Ever since that monster appeared, the adventurers have always had to use only one portal. So if they want to go to a higher floor, they have to go back to the portal they came from and then enter it again while setting it for a higher floor instead of them just using the other portal like usual.
Han understood immediately. No wonder there were so many people at the portal when he was coming here. They werenât all coming into this floor, some of them were going to higher floors because they canât use the second portal blocked by the Kraken. But a Kraken? Really? This temple is just spawning more and more insane creatures!
âI understand, but why are you just dealing with this now? Iâm not the only black star that has come to this floor am I?â
Risque sighed and explained.
âBlack stars and high ranking white stars are very rare. We havenât had a black star come to this floor in almost three hundred years. And even if we did, then we wonât have the money needed to pay them for a mission like this, Iâm only banking on the chance that you require something from the guild too. If you can help me with this task then Iâll pay you for an A-rank mission and give you badges for every single one of your party members. You wonât even need to come back here ever again. We just need you to kill that Kraken. None of the people here are brave enough to handle a monster like that without a high ranking fourth or fifth tier in their team,â
Han knew that this wasnât what he was supposed to be doing. People arenât meant to be killing such strong creatures for just a guild badge. I could just leave it and get the badge from an easier quest or I could even go back to a lower floor and get my badge from the guild branch over there. Then all of a sudden Rinâs frowning face crossed Hanâs mind and he groaned. Okay, fine. Maybe his girls wouldnât like hearing that he left people in danger. Itâs not even going to take an hour anyways. Risque was very honest with the way she asked Han to help and Han decided he would help her because of that honesty. Besides, it would be fun to throw Gregory towards the monster and see if he can kill it!
Gregory turned toward Han with a suspicious look when Han suddenly started to chuckle. I donât like it when you chuckle. Something dangerous always happens to me when you chuckle like that!!
âFine, weâll do it! Get us a ship and a crew and weâll go get you your Kraken!â
Risque smiled brighter than the sun and looked towards the wyvern party eagerly! She already had a crew right here! The entire party paled as they realized they would be going too! They didnât want to go anywhere near that Kraken! Only a black star can survive against something like that! Does she want them to die!
But Han didnât give any of them a choice as he stood up and started walking out of the room!
â¦.
Thirty minutes later, the entire party have already found their way into a ship and they were currently sailing in the middle of a wide ocean. Han would never get tired of seeing a new floor. Whoever built these things mustâve been a genius. Every floor is completely different from the last one and they are all so beautiful!
There wasnât anything but water to be seen for miles to every side of the ship. The members of the Wyvern crew were either tightening the ropes around the ship or they were waiting down in the cargo hold for the fighting to begin. Han looked around from where he was standing beside the leader of the Wyvern party. She seems to have gotten attached to him ever since they left the guild house. She wasnât even talking to him and Han wondered if she was trying to emulate him to find out how he got so much power. This isnât a martial arts novel where you can just follow your master and see how he does his everyday activities! Get away from me!
âIâll be in the cargo hold. Call me if there are any changes. And no, you canât follow me,â
Han said this to the leader of the Wyvern party before she could offer to come with him. He needed some space. He walked down the stairs and ducked into the cargo hold. It was quite dark and there werenât any lights to make the place brighter, but Han could easily see that two people were sleeping there. One man and a woman were sleeping on different mats while waiting for the ship to find the Kraken. They suffered from some seasickness and the party leader allowed them to come down here and rest.
Han walked to the side and he stopped when he suddenly heard the sound of crying before the smell of blood hit him. Strange. He walked a bit deeper and then he saw a body lying on the ground with blood leaking out from a stab wound in its neck. Han rose a brow. Well, thatâs an interesting thing to find on a ship. He looked to the side and he finally saw Rau comforting his sister while whispering things to her. Han didnât want to jump to conclusions so he listened first.
âDonât worry. He wonât hurt you anymore. Just focus on me. Hey, look at me. He wonât hurt you,â
Rau kept on repeating this while his sister just kept on whimpering. Han could see that her clothes were torn in many places and she was clinging to her brother tightly. Her throat also had a red mark on it to show Han that someone was preventing her from breathing. It couldnât have been Rau. This boy cherishes his sister too much for him to do something like that. So does that mean the dead man tried to abuse her?
Huh? Han didnât even feel anything from it. The man was dead anyway so there was no point in getting angry.
The two children didnât know he was there because none of them could feel his power so Rau didnât think anyone would see him when he leaned forward and kissed Grey deeply!
Wow. Heâs really going for it! Han always knew something was going on with these two! They were always too close for mere brother and sister. Han cleared his throat and Rau pulled back suddenly as he heard it! He turned around with a look of terror on his face and he picked up a bloody knife as he faced Han while trying to cover his sister with his body.
Han rolled his eyes.
âDrop the knife and come over here, both of you.â
Rau didnât move for a moment, but his fear of Han easily made him forget about trying to fight. He slowly dropped the knife and moved up while supporting his sister. They stepped over the dead body and moved closer to Han. Han could see that they were very scared. They must think Iâll be disgusted by what I saw. Iâm not even interested in your love life. Iâll be a hypocrite if I judged you after everything Iâve done. Iâm more interested in exactly why you killed that man.
âTell me what happened here. If you lie, Iâll know. And remember what I told you before about killing you? It wasnât a joke. Tell me the truth or youâll join this man on the ground,â
Rau gulped as his fear made him lose his voice but his sister wouldnât stop glaring as she shouted!
âDonât be angry at Rau! He saved me! That man has been looking at me since we were in the guild house and when we were down here he tried to rape me! Rau stopped him and helped me!â
âDonât shout unless you want everyone to come down here and find out about this,â
Grey blushed in embarrassment as Han said this to her and she ducked her head. Han sighed. It seems he was right. But what the hell is up with these top floors. So even children have nothing against killing? Rau doesnât even look a little bit put off by this so that means he has killed people before. Well, I guess if they did it to protect each other then it doesnât matter to me. Han turned around and started walking away and Rauâs eyes widened in shock. Was that it?
âWait. Y-You saw us, didnât you? Wonât you ask any questions?â
Han turned around and saw how the two children were looking at him in surprise. I guess things like incest are also a big deal in their world.
âDo you want me to ask anything? Or do you just want me to keep quiet about it?â
Rau squeezed his fist.
âI-I really love her! Weâre going to the sixty-third floor to escape our family so we can be together! I heard itâs a peaceful floor so I want to take my sister there! Donât just think that weâre doing this for nothing,â
What a stupid notion. You want to escape? Donât you know how similar the two of you look? No matter where you go youâll always be outcasts because of your relationship. But, I suppose if you have that kind of determination, it doesnât really matter what other people think.
âJust make sure you get rid of that body,â
Han walked away and didnât say anything more to them. He didnât have to get involved in their bullshit.
