Elisa went to the police to hand over all evidence she had on hand. She wanted Suelen’s action to be escalated all over the internet. She lets everyone see it so they can comment on her evil actions.

With that, she would use it against her so the case would be too strong for her to be sentenced to years of imprisonment.

As soon as it had been revealed, Suelen was in a rage. She was taken away with Marie arrested. It is scattered all over the internet, and no one dares to filter out all their opinions.

Meanwhile, Elisa was inside her room and found news about Suelen and Marie.

She smirked and mumbled, “I knew this would happen. It is expected,”

She had been waiting a long time for that to transpire.

In the company, Jorge had been seated on his swivel chair, almost having a headache for all the backlogs he had to cover. Another problem came up, and immediate action was needed.

“Why are they terminating their contacts with us?” Oblivious to the reason, Jorge questions the secretary front of her. “We are on good terms with them, right?”

“Yeah, sir. That’s what we need to find out,” said the secretary.

“Fine. Get lost.” Jorge didn’t want to see the secretary in front.

He slammed the documents on the table and heaved a sigh.

“If those clients don’t pull out after years of cooperation, I don’t know what will happen to this company.” Jorge mumbled.

If he couldn’t take those clients back, the company would be down and most likely be facing bankruptcy if

it wouldn’t be saved.

In his silence, he overthinks what is happening around them. Many questions entered his mind, including his moment with Suelen and what Elisa had told him.

His silence had been interrupted when he heard a knock on the door.

Jorge still hadn’t responded, but his secretary had already entered.

He darkened his stare at her. “Didn’t I tell you not to bother me when it’s unimportant?!”

The secretary nodded and added, “It is important, sir. You have a visitor. They are here to investigate something. Shall I let them in?”

“Investigate?” Jorge didn’t know what she meant. “Anyway, just let them in.”

Jorge sat formally, adjusted his suit, and saw two men enter. Upon seeing them, his eyes widened in

astonishment.

“Mr. Barson, we are here to investigate an open bidding project in New York that involved illegal competition and bribery over ten years ago,” said one of the men in a calm way. Please cooperate with our investigation.”

Jorge let them sit on the visitor’s chair in his office. He led a company that went bankrupt and didn’t anticipate he would be questioned by the authorities who involved Suelen, a woman he once admired.

Once seated, the two men stared at him seriously. That made Jorge worried.

“Tell me whatever you want. I am willing to cooperate,” said Jorge, who didn’t let the two feel he was

nervous.

“Okay,” the man on the left flipped through the document. “Who is the project leader at that time? Have you still remembered?”

“Oh, let me think…I think it’s Albert?” Jorge was unsure of his response. “Why is he involved?”

“Wait, so that time you know Albert and Suelen have a relationship?” the man on the right asked.

“What?! They do?!” Jorge didn’t know. “I remember we were still not together with Suelen at that time. She JUST knew Albert, and we started to get along that time… Jorge discussed everything in detail. “I remember three companies had competed at it. We still have those files in here.”

“We just found out you gave Suelen some money. Did you?” the man asked further.

“Yeah. I do. That’s because I admired her and wanted to be fine. She also helps me a lot. That’s why I handed her some money. Is it even considered a bride? That’s not!” Jorge reasoned out.

“Mr. Barson, the situation is like this,” said the man, adding, “We have investigated the matter and found out that Albert and Suelen are in a relationship, but you didn’t know, right?”

“I didn’t…” Jorge was stunned and was quite invested in knowing everything.

“That money you give is what Albert uses to manage all the people in that project….” the man added.

Jorge paused. His eyes widened in astonishment. He didn’t believe the two would have a relationship.

“I’m so sure the two had no relationship, officer,” Jorge hoped the two were just wrong. “You’re just kidding

me.”

“We’re serious in our investigation. We’re not kidding here. That’s the truth,” the man opened the folder and placed a lot of photos as evidence on the table.

Jorge scanned each picture, and, seeing it was all Albert and Suelen too intimate with each other, his heart almost skipped a beat.

He wouldn’t dare to think the woman he used to love betrayed him.

How could she do this to me?! I love her. I thought she loved me, too. But it seems like she’s just using me

“No way!” Jorge clenched his fist and was in a fit of rage. “Don’t tell me I am included in this mess! I’m also a victim! I didn’t even know they had done this!”

“Well, yes, you are correct. You won’t be charged for bribery, but we need your cooperation with this case,”

said the man and stood, collecting the photos back. “Any time from now, we will be coordinating with you.”

“Okay, I will cooperate,” said Jorge, sending the two officers out of his office.

Suddenly, he was in a mix of emotions. He was about to leave the company building to breathe some fresh. air. He found a way to talk to Suelen about the matter, but he had already passed out before he reached the elevator.

Meanwhile, his secretary, who had seen him, yelled, “Mr. Barson!”

“Where the hell am I?” Jorge asked as soon as he gained consciousness. He wandered his gaze around and could tell he was in the hospital.

As soon as he saw Olivia sobbing at the side, he asked, “What happened to me?”

“Dad! Finally, you’re awake!” Olivia exclaimed as she held his hands. “You suddenly passed out inside the office. Luckily, your secretary saw you and brought you here.”

Jorge was about to sit on the bed but was still weak.

Suddenly, he held his forehead as if he had a headache.

“Dad, are you okay? Do you want me to call the doctor?!” Olivia panicked.

“No need. I am fine. I just remember something.” Jorge admitted.

“Okay.” Olivia said, still worried about him.

Years ago, when Jorge and Suelen both kissed each other and gave in, he was too excited to own Suelen that night, but he was too drunk, lost in his control, and passed out.

Yet, out of the blue, in the following months, Suelen admitted she was pregnant and he was the father. Later, she gave birth to Olivia, and he felt guilty.

Suelen, at that moment, told him that she wanted to be with him, whatever happened.

It was crystal clear that Suelen said, ‘I just want to be with you….”

Since Jorge wanted Suelen, he accepted her.

I am on cloud nine having you, Suelen, but it turns out to be like this… You betrayed me. You destroyed my trust in you.
