Robert had just finished working on his computer when his phone vibrated. At first, he thought someone had messaged him, but it was actually a bank reminder.
âIâm at home. How the hell did I spend so much money?â Robert asked once more, with his brows furrowed.
It was all expenses that reached millions. He knew he wasnât being scammed. Someone used his card and was aware of who used it. No other person, Robert, could point it out except John and Elisa.
âThat gold diggerâ¦â Robert mumbled and tightened the way he held his phone.
Robert shook his head. He still had no confirmation, but John wouldnât spend much money before. When Elisa arrived, he used two times bigger than usual.
âI underestimate this woman. I know sheâs here for my money. She doesnât need to tell me. This only provesâ¦.. Robert stared at her screen once again and heaved a sigh.
That amount spent was only too little compared to his savings. He wasnât worried but furious that Elisa could spend much without him knowing.
âCharles! Where are you?!â Robert called him up.
In an instant, Charles entered the room and asked, âWhat is it, sir? Do you want me to go outside? Let me help you.â
When Charles was about to push the wheelchair Robert was sitting in, Robert waved his hand, stopping him from doing so.
âNo. I just want to know where Grandpa is. Is he with Elisa, right?â Robert guessed, and if his guess was confirmed, he was right.
âYeah. Your grandpa accompanied Elisa, and Iâve heard that they went shopping. Charles replied. âWhy did you ask? Do you want them to buy something for you?â
âIs there anything wrong with asking?â Robert asked him back.
âNo. I didnât mean to tell that, sir, replied Charles,
âYou may now leave, Robert added.
âOkay,â Charles said and left.
With that in mind, Robert suddenly felt his body ache. He closed his computer and listened to the audio file to calm down.
Upon hearing the audio, he finally calmed down and was at ease.
Since Eliza was not around, lie could only rely on the recording audio. However, he wouldnât listen to the audio if she was physically present. Hearing her voice could already calm him down

However, keeping her with him would only make him uncomfortable, so he dismissed that idea.
âI know I can recover with or without her presence.â he mumbled.

âShit. This is bullshit life!â Olivia was furious as she stormed out of the mall. She forced herself not to sob about how she messed up and how she pushed Yan away from her instead of pushing him close to her.
This is all because of you, Elisa,â she mumbled.
Despite what happened, she still wanted to blame Elisa. She wouldnât have been able to send Yan those photos if she hadnât seen her.
She didnât know where her feet had brought her. However, she came back to her senses as soon as she felt her phone vibrate in her hand.
Her motherâs lawyer called to inform her that she could now visit her at the detention cell. She was joyous and wasted no time going there to finally see her.
It wasnât that far from the mall. She arrived and, unfortunately, could only talk with her mother through a glass window. Instead of being disheartened, she was still thankful.
Olivia sat, waiting for her mother to arrive. The door inside opened, and through the glass window, she glimpsed Suelen.
âMom!â She exclaimed and was on cloud nine, seeing her.
Suelen wore the same clothes she had worn the night she was caught. Her hair was a bit messy, and she looked very pitiful.
âMomâ¦.â Olivia mumbled again and couldnât stop herself from crying. She was apprehensive about her situation inside.
âCome on, I am fine. Why are you crying?â Suelen wondered. âDid something happen to you?â
She shook her head and asked, âNothing happened to me. Donât worry about me. Worry about yourself.â She cleared her throat and continued, âMom, tell me. Did you confess already? Donât tell me youâre be jailed for years!â
She was worried and had no idea what would happen next.
âNah, thereâs nothing to worry about me. I can still get out someday. I still didnât die for you to cry. Besides, you can always visit me,â said Suelen, trying to calm her down.
âOkay,â said Olivia.
Suelen was worried about confessing the truth that happened and scared her daughter would hate her the way Jorge did. She didnât want that to happen.
âHow about your father? Tell me how heâs doing now, and did he tell you something?â she asked, not wanting to sound like he was hiding something.
âNo, Olivia recalled. âHe collapsed and is currently in the hospital. But donât worry much. Heâs doing fine.â

Suelen breathed a sigh of relief. At least he tried to conceal everything from Olivia.

âRemember this, Olivia. Since itâs still years before I can go out, please be good to your father, Suelen reminded her. âPlease be good to him. Donât let him be furious at you. Please try to do it, daughter. Iâm not there to help me.â
âYeah, mom. I will do it,â Olivia replied and nodded her head. âWhen can you get out? I will miss youâ
âTwo years. But donât think about it much. I can get out, I know, Suelen assured.
Even if that was too long, Olivia nodded and had no choice but to wait.
As soon as Olivia remembered how her father acted, she couldnât help but feel he still cared for Elisa.
âWhatâs happening to my father? Mom, Iâm afraid heâll abandon me. He seems to love Elisa,â she said. âThat kidnapping incident seems to affect him most.â
âHe does love you, Olivia, Itâs just that he is not fine. So I want you to take care of him and show him you are a good daughter, Suelen reminded her. âDonât let him feel regretful about his life choices.â
âI will do everything, Mom,â said Olivia.
However, Olivia remembered what had transpired in the mall.
âMom, hear me out. I have something to tell you,â Olivia added.
âWhat is that?â Suelen asked, curious. âTell me before my time limit of talking to you ends.â
âThe man whom we let Elisa marry wasnât poor. Heâs somewhat rich. He wasnât no longer in a coma but now aware!â Olivia admitted and regretted it.
Suelenâs eyes widened. âHow did you know all of this? Maybe you are just wrong.
âWell, I witnessed with my own eyes how that manâs grandpa took Elisa to the mall. I even saw gold bars on her paper bag!â Olivia reported.
Suelen started to feel regretful about her decision and chose the wrong one. She was imprisoned, and Jorge wasnât able to deal with it.
As soon as her daughter mentioned that Elisa married a man in a coma who was now conscious, she was stunned. Not only that, but he came from a wealthy family. She knew her imprisonment had to do with Elisaâs connection with the Fischer family.
âItâs too late to regret, she thought. Only if she knew it beforehand, then she wouldnât let those men kidnap Elisa, and she wouldnât be imprisoned.
âWith her status now, and while I am still in prison, donât provoke her. As much as possible, avoid her, to avoid chaos,â Suelen told her.
âWell, then I have no choice but to follow what you said,â said Olivia, and she couldnât wait for Elisa to be killed. âForget about Elisa. Dad is still in the hospital. Maybe you have something to tell him. Iâll tell him when I visit him soon.â
Suelen sighed and heaved a sigh. She then said, âJust give him wildflowers for me.â

âNo. Just give him flowers. That will do,â said Suelen.
âOkay, mom. I will do it,â Olivia replied with a smile.
