Elisa looked at Robertâs back, feeling a little embarrassed. She wondered if there was any dishes he liked to eat. Was the food not to his liking? or probably he didnât want to eat because she was the one who cooked?
Every dish ElÃsa prepared was acceptable. She could see everyoneâs hunger and satisfaction in their eyes whilst ogling at the food but Robert had no intentions of eating because he knows she prepared it. How ruthless can he be? How could he treat her like this?
âElisabeth my dear, you donât need to worry about it. You know⦠he has always been like this. Didnât the maid tell you that he doesnât eat much? Itâs because heâs picky, not because youâre doing poorly.â The old man tried to comfort her with his gentle voice but she knew he was trying to make her feel a bit better, Robert naturally didnât like her and so as the food she cooked..
A small, yet timid chuckle cane out of her lips. âOf course.â Elisa affirmed with a small smile, how she wished Robert was just a little bit nice to her like his grandfather..
Honestly speaking, Elisa knows Robert doesnât like her. The man hated everything about her including her mere breathing, if it was possible for him, heâd have erased her entire existence from the worldâ¦
âI agree to Mr. Fisher, Miss Elisa. Please donât take it to heart.â The maid asserted, reassuring Elisa for her not to feel down..
Although Charles and Smith didnât say anything, deep down in their hearts, they were both upset with the way Robert treated her, the least he could have done was to appreciate her efforts, but as always he proved to be a total jerkâ¦
However, Robertâs unusual demeanor should be punished. His recent actions towards Elisa should be equaled to not eating straight for nine days! Itâs right to drive him crazy, make him stinky, and sick. His actions were unacceptable.
âLetâs eat, everyone.â Mr. Fisher called out to get their attention once more, As the old man made the order, Charles picked up a piece of roasted pork, and had the chance to taste it.
At that moment, the aroma of the meat filled his mouth. It was really pleasing to his taste buds, Fatty but not greasy, lean but not tough, tender and sticky. Itâs his first time eating this kind of roasted pork. Elisaâs talent in cooking was great.
Charles quickly picked up the bowl, and put a large spoonful of meat along with soup on and rice greedily. This was the best roasted pork he has ever eaten in a while now..
Even the maid tasted the stewed chicken with mushrooms earlier in the kitchen when Elisa asked for her opinion if it was tasty or not.
The chicken was a native chicken raised by Mr. Fisher, the boss among all bosses in the Fisherâs household. Its quality was way more tender than the meat youâll buy in stores. The maid suddenly compared her way of cooking to Elisaâs own procedure. She cooks but far from making it tender and soft. Even the bones were delicious!
âMiss Elisabeth, after your meal will you please teach me how to make dishes like this in the future?â
A small smile crept on her face before she answered saying âSure. Iâll write down the procedures later Itâs very simple.â Elisa affirmed with her gentle voice.
The odd man plutte few nieces of chicken and tried another niece of crierad fried work. His eums

suddenly lit up as he turned the plate of roasted pork towards him.
Charles looked at the plate of meat and anxiously and squeezed his chopsticks.

When Charles saw old Mr. Fisher take the plate and the soup spilled onto the rice, he suddenly felt discouraged. He winced. He wanted to take all the spilled soup and pork onto his grandfatherâs plate. He wanted more. Charles only took a deep breath, he put down his utensils and sighed.
On the other hand, Smith was quite picky about what he ate. He cares for his health. The rice cooked by Elisa was definitely not as exquisite as the external style, it was home cooked food.
However, after eating a piece of fish, Smith immediately changed his mind. The âpickyâeaterâ title has suddenly vanished. He liked the dish Elisa prepared for them.
He tried some others and the taste was really good.
He tried to pick a piece of braised pork again but caught the air this time, he stared at the empty bowl in frustration..
When he already made up his mind to eat, all the braised pork, stewed chicken with mushrooms were all gone. All because of Charlesâ having a huge tummy, and driven by his enormous appetite. Smithâs mouth was in awe when he saw he had almost finished five bowls of rice.
By then, Smith felt regretful. The consequence of being skeptical was that if he wouldnât make a move, then everything would be gone. One example was the dish Elisa prepared for the whole family.
However, there was an arrogant man who just left the table few minutes ago, he might be regretting it by now, he suddenly chuckled at the thought of Robert sulking because he didnât take a bite from the tasty meals Elisa had made..
Elisaâs heart thumped violently. She didnât expect everyone would love the dish she prepared. All the plates containing the stew, braised pork, were now gone.
On the other hand, the maid decided to prepare the food Robert wanted. She turned to leave upstairs when Elisabeth interrupted her.
âIâll take this to him.â Elisa affirmed, smiling a little to the maid.
âAre you sure, Miss Elisa?â She worriedly inquired, if Robert saw her bringing him his meal he might lose his appetite or better still reject the whole mealâ¦
Elisa gave her a soft smile before she left. She felt nervous on her way upstairs. Elisa made a few knocks before entering Robertâs room with a tray in her hand.
She saw he was a bit busy going through a file in his hands that he didnât even take a look at her..
âPlace it over there and leaveâ Robertâs cold demeanor made a strong pang in her heart. His commanding voice made her nibble her lower lip. She placed the bowl on top of the table, and didnât know what else to
say..
Robert seemed to realize something was off when he didnât hear any movement so he slowly lifted his head, he clenched his teeth in annoyance, Not only did she want to please his grandfather, but she also wanted to please him?
He activated the wheelchair and moved towards Elisa who stood rooted to the ground âI didnât ask you to

bring my mealâ¦Iâm not like my grandfather who canât see through you, for all I know that food must have been poisoned by you!â
âLetâs talk, Robert.â Elisa took in a deep breath trying to calm herself down, now that she had the courage to talk to him, she didnât want to infuriate him more even if it meant disregarding his somewhat hurtful words he just said to herâ¦
Robert placed his hand on the wheelchair and slowly held his head. The lines of his jaw were as delicate as those drawn by a brush and prominent as primrose.
His face, with sharp contours, handsome and beautiful, was a bit soft when he slept. But when he woke up, it was filled with a threatening severity and an aura that crushes everything.
Elisa was shocked by his abrupt change of demeanor yet she remained calm and collected.
Robert spoke. âTo what do I owe you this conversation? You know Iâm never going to be interested in anything you have to sayâ
âAbout our marriage.â Elisa affirmed.
âI believe itâs all about your status as Mrs. Fisher..go on say what you want to say and let me see your true nature once moreâ A mocking smile reflected on his lips.
Having the identity of Mrs. Fisher was definitely not enough for her, he was sure that what she truly wanted to say, was how to be a true Mrs fisher.
