Chapter 369 Julianâs eyes narrowed as he stepped toward him. âSenior Jordan, youâre mistaken. Itâs not that I donât love Tiffany; I just didnât know what to think or say. Iâve already made up my mind, however, and Iâll get engaged with Tiffany in three days. I wonât let her down,â answered Julian, his reply solemn yet refined altogether.
Tiffanyâs eyes flickered at Julianâs reply. Engaged, not married that was what he said.
She was already pregnant for a month, and all he promised was an engagement? Tiffany knew Julian all too well that he promised such a thing to cool off the heat from everyone in the room. Once everyone let it slip past them, he would try to worm his way out of it.

âDo you think weâre all fools here, Julian?â scoffed Senior Jordan. âTiffanyâs already pregnant, yet all youâre promising here is an engagement? Do you want the world to know that she was forced to get married?â
âOur Tiffany isnât for you to take it as you like and leave when you donât! If you really love Tiffany, the wedding has to take place soon!â pestered Joey.
Julian frowned. He would have no chance with Charmine once he was married with Tiffany!
All Julian could do was offer his words to buy some time, thus he level-headedly explained,â Of course, and itâs because I love Tiffany that I want to carefully go through every detail, all so I can give her the best wedding. Tiffany, what do you say?â
His gentle eyes landed on Tiffany.
Tiffany smiled bitterly. Hah! Love? What a sound excuse!
Despite her bitterness, Tiffany could not expose Julian, and she could not make Julian feel as if she was forcing him as well.
That would not help her following plan.
âMum, Grandpa,â Tiffany muttered weakly, âIâm really tired, and I donât want to force Julian. Itâs okay if Julian doesnât want to get engaged with me.â
âYouâre silly! What are you talking about? Julian said heâd get engaged with you, and he will! Iâll take care of everything and invite the entire Burlington! Iâll make sure itâll be big!â Madam Cabell promised.
The entire Burlington? That would be a grand event, for sure.
Julianâs eyes flickered. He only wanted to keep it low, so if the entire Burlington was invited...
Senior Jordanâs glared daggers at Julian. âJulian, your look has answered me. Do you want to get engaged and invite the entire Burlington?â
He exuded an air of power and authority as he asked.
Julian was smart enough to know, better than anyone, that he could not afford to act rashly. As for Charmine... He would think of ways later.
âYes,â came Julianâs reply.
Senior Jordanâs face became less tense. âAlright, let it be then! Make it as big as possible!â
A smile appeared on Tiffanyâs face. While it was no marriage, it would be as good as one if the entire Burlington was invited. She would be able to tell everyone that she was Julianâs official fiancée!
âNo! They canât get engaged!â came a loud and sharp voice.
Everyone turned to see Charmine walking into the ward.
Tiffany clenched her fists. Why did Charmine come? Was she trying to screw things up again?!
Julianâs eyes glimmered. Charmine came... She came!
Did she have feelings for him at last, to the point she disagreed with their engagement?
Afraid that Charmine would stop Julian and Tiffanyâs engagement, Joey quickly said, â Charmine, itâs so good that youâre here.
Your sisterâs pregnant with Julianâs baby. They have to get engaged and be together.â
What Joey truly meant was that their engagement must be carried out, and Charmine should not screw things up.
