Ye Yao thought of what Yang Ya had done in the past and smiled. “This is nothing. She has done things that are far worse.”

“Huh?” Gao Qiao was extremely surprised. He could not understand the relationship between Ye Yao and Yang Ya. The fact was that there were many complicated relationships within wealthy clans, but these complexities would not happen between parents and their children. Because there were too many branches of the extended family, of course the closest relatives had to stick together. Ye Yao glanced at her watch and said casually, “Why are you driving so slowly? Don’t tell me we’re stuck in a traffic jam and can’t make it to lunch?”

About 20 minutes later, Huo Buyu called Ye Yao. “Where are you guys? Why aren’t you here yet?”

Ye Yao informed him, “We’re stuck in a traffic jam.”

Huo Buyu fell silent for a moment. “… Have you been speaking without thinking again?”

Ye Yao said with a tinge of guilt, “I didn’t do it on purpose this time…”
