A Guaranteed Surprise

Zhou Chen was an astute man as well, and could tell at a glance that Ye Yao’s entire get up was costly! Where did she get the money? Could Ye Sui be right that she was a kept woman? Thinking of this possibility, Zhou Chen became furious. How could she be so lacking in self-respect, selling her body for money?

Before Ye Yao could even get a word in, she had already been labeled a kept woman. There and then, she was extremely glad that she did not get engaged to Zhou Chen! He was such an idiot!

At this point, Ye Yao’s phone rang. It was Huo Buyu. The caller ID Ye Yao had assigned Huo Buyu was “Baby”, and this was visible to Zhou Chen and Ye Sui when she took out her cell phone.

Ye Sui immediately pointed out loudly, “Zhou Chen, look at that… ‘Baby’… isn’t that disgusting?! I told you so… Ye Yao is an extremely hypocritical woman. Superficially, she seemed to be deeply in love with you, but eventually, she was quick to throw herself into the arms of another man. To think she addresses him so intimately too. The two of them might have already secretly slept together long ago.”

Ye Yao truly admired Ye Sui’s ability to make up lies, and Zhou Chen, this brainless idiot, believed her nonsense completely. He questioned Ye Yao, “Is this true?”

Ye Yao rolled her eyes. “I’m an adult. Do I have to report to you whom I’m dating? Who do you think you are? Shouldn’t you mind your own business?”

Zhou Chen looked over. True enough, there were a few faint hickeys on Ye Yao’s fair and slender neck. He immediately clenched his fists. He and Ye Yao were childhood sweethearts. Ever since they started dating, he had respected her very much. The furthest they had gone was hugging and holding hands. Occasionally, he would kiss her forehead and the back of her hand. To think that Ye Yao, whom he could not bear to touch, had actually been tainted by another man!

Zhou Chen could not accept it! Infuriated, he said without thinking, “Ye Yao, are you shameless, sleeping with men for money!”

Ye Yao retorted, “You’re the shameless one, hooking up with Ye Sui when you had a girlfriend. Eventually, you even slept with her and made news with it so that everyone came to know about it. I’m giving you face by not calling you a scumbag and low life form, and yet you criticize me. Who do you think you are?!”

“And you!” After Ye Yao found satisfaction in scolding the man, she turned and pointed at Ye Sui. “You have dirty thoughts. You knew that Zhou Chen and I were getting engaged, yet you seduced him and became the third party. Pair of scumbag and slut! As for me, I’m in a normal relationship. What’s wrong with two consenting adults sleeping with each other? So what if I have hickeys? Our relationship is deep! Unlike you, seducing your future brother-in-law and being proud of that! Bah!”

In the past, Ye Yao had her pride and did not like to argue with Ye Sui. She didn’t want to be calculative. But now, she realized that there were just some people one should not give in to. Once they gave in, the person would push their luck. Such people should be destroyed once and for all!

“Ye Yao! What nonsense are you talking about?! Who are you calling a third party?! Zhou Chen and I are already engaged! The two of us have nothing to hide. What right do you have to criticize me?!” Ye Sui threw a tantrum and shouted in the mall. “Everyone, come and take a look. This woman’s name is Ye Yao. She sleeps around and became someone’s lover. She even shamelessly tried to seduce her brother-in-law. Everyone be warned, stay away from her. Otherwise, before you realize it, your boyfriend or husband would have been seduced by her!”

Ye Sui had grown up in an alley in the city and had always had an unpresentable aura. She had even learned the unreasonable and loud ways of the women in the alley. Although she had scaled the social ladder and became part of a wealthy family with her mother, she did not lose the lowly aura of that city. She’d kick up a big fuss over the smallest thing and everyone would get to hear about it.

Ye Yao was calm and composed. She crossed her arms and watched Ye Sui creating a scene. People who were watching the unfolding drama slowly crowded around. Some even took out their cell phones to take photos and videos.

Zhou Chen knitted his brow together tightly. He had always been an elite and had received an education fit for the noble. Ye Sui’s unreasonable behavior was absolutely forbidden in the upper-class society. This was what he disliked the most in Ye Sui. He had always felt that she was quite unpresentable.

More and more people gathered around. Ye Yao smiled and lamented, “Some people just like to smear others, insisting that the other party is a kept woman when they’re in fact in a proper relationship. Since you like to make such assumptions, sure.” She blinked at the crowd and said mischievously, “If everyone is really curious, you can perform an internet search on Ye Sui in S City. I guarantee there will be a surprise.”
