I thought there would be wordsâ
a final conversation,
a goodbye wrapped in love.
But it wasn't like that,
was it?
They just disappeared,
like shadows fading at dawn.
There are no explanations,
just the hollow echo of their absence.
I hear the laughter we shared
and feel the warmth of their hugs,
but they're gone,
leaving only the ghosts of who we were.
I grieve the love they couldn't give,
the understanding they couldn't find.
And still, I carry on,
alone but not broken,
learning to make peace with the loss,
even as I miss them
every single day.
