"Why are you so kind?" They asked,
The question echoed,
Unmasked,
I smiled with a touch of sorrow, in a world so harsh, no kindness to borrow.
"I wanted to be the light," I said,
"In darkness where hope often fled.
The world was cold, no warmth to find, so I chose to be gentle, and to be kind."
"In every harsh moment, a choice I made,
to offer warmth where shadow stayed.
For in a world so often blind, I become the kindness I couldn't find."
