"Abhimanyu, when will you Marry? Do you have anyone in your mind?" Asked his sister Samira

He shook his head "No Di, I don't, you know After that college relationship, I never wanted to go for anyone. She just, what do I say...you know"

Samira nodded "I know Abhi but don't stop yourself from loving someone. She wasn't the right one for you Abhi, there are nice girls in the world"

He chuckled "Just for friendship They are nice, I don't want to have a girlfriend after that very "Good" Relationship" He said sarcastically

"Then get married you are 32 now"

He nodded "Hmm I know I can't deny Mom and Dad for long, I will soon tell them to look for someone"

"Then? Will you give yourself a chance to fall in love?"

He bit his lips "I mean, I don't know, I have moved on from that but Di, Can't trust anyone so quickly now"

Samira smiled gently at her brother "I understand Abhi, take your time"

"Mama, Mama (Mother's Brother)" jumped her son, Sameer, Sam in short, in front of the video call "Hey My Boy, Missing your Mama?"

"Yes Abhi Mama, You are so Far! I miss playing football with you" Sam Pouted innocently

Abhimanyu Grins "Come here and we will together play it again and I will teach you new tricks as well!"

Sam smiled "Really Mama?"

"Yes, only if you will study, I have heard your complain that you don't study and play video games all the time"

He pouts "That's not true, I study for 8 hours in school"

This Made Abhimanyu laugh "Well I agree but at Home also you should for sometime when your mom insists"

He nods "Okay Mama"

"See Abhimanyu, He listens to you more than me!" Said Samira ruffling her son's hair.

"What to do, I am his favourite" Abhimanyu Grinned

As he made his way to the open ground of the university, to take a call from a friend. It was then that he noticed Amrita, seated on the cool grass, deeply engrossed in her studies. With her headphones nestled in her ears, she absentmindedly munched on a bowl of rice her mother prepared, her focus unwavering.

He couldn't help but steal glances at her while he conversed with his friend. After a few minutes, he sighed and ended the call, a wave of thought clashed in his mind, Wasn't it strange that he never saw her with anyone? Time and again, he had encountered her outside of class, always alone—either lost in her books or watching something on her phone but never with...people!

Shaking his head, he decided it was best to let it be. He turned away from the scene, making his way back to the staff room, reminding himself that it was her life to lead, and it wasn't his place to pry or speculate too much.

Taking out his tab, He checks the ppt and assignments that the students of the 5th year have made.

Baani Agnihotri

He goes through her assignment and is highly impressed with the way she has explained everything and even put the designs on the side. Also, it is a self-made assignment and not pasted from Google. He does recognise which students have done the assignment themselves and who haven't.

Students think that they can fool professors by removing plagiarism and rephrasing the words, but Abhimanyu Raina is not an idiot.

He did deduct the marks of the students and also according to the behaviour of the students he gave remarks. He doesn't compromise when it comes to his subject. He will make students pass by giving them a chance and not because they should be passed in the last year. They have to become something in life and if they do not try hard now, then in the coming difficult phase, they won't struggle at all.

He has been strict with students who don't listen to him in class it doesn't matter if they aren't listening, what bothers him is that them having an attitude that Abhimanyu is teaching nothing and they can know everything on their own. He doesn't understand that on YouTube they can't find everything that's in between the books.

He prepares notes, he makes PPTs, he tries to make the class interesting and so he also deserves some appreciation from the side of the students, more like a response. He likes it when students come to him with doubts and are serious about their studies and those who try.

Then came Amrita's assignment but the bell rang so he had to close the file. He has marked the numbers for everyone whose project he has seen.

He rubs his eyes and leans back on his chair sighing.

Another class! He buckles up himself and takes his iPad and book along with him.

On the way someone called him "Abhimanyu Sir" he turned around and came towards him in a saree Professor Soniya.

He passes a smile to her "Hello Mam"

"Hello Sir, How are you?" She asked sweetly

"All good, I just have a class with the 9th-semester students" He informed politely

She nods "It must be hectic as the schedule includes 4 classes for you in a day"

He shrugged "doesn't matter it's my work so"

"You are truly a good professor, All the students must like you, I have heard a lot of compliments about how you teach"

"Oh. I don't know about that but Thank you mam" He said with a smile

"Umm, Sir if you don't mind I was asking that can we go for..." She was about to ask for a coffee when someone fell with a loud thug on the floor.

Abhimanyu hurriedly made his way to the place where the sound had come from. There, on the polished floor of the college hallway, he found Amrita, who had slipped and fallen, alongside a college janitor who had been mopping the floor.

"I'm so sorry," Amrita said, her voice tinged with embarrassment as she rubbed her elbow, wincing in pain from where she'd landed.

"Is everything okay?" Abhimanyu asked concern etched on his face as he reached out to help the janitor to her feet. Soniya, bent down to assist Amrita to stand.

The janitor, brushing off her uniform, replied, "Yes, sir, there was water on the floor. The girl fell, and I lost my balance too."

Amrita squinted, her eyes scanning the ground for her glasses, which had slipped from her face during the fall. Abhimanyu's gaze caught it on the floor, and he quickly picked up her glasses, extending them toward her. "Here," he said gently.

As Amrita raised her head, Abhimanyu noticed tears welling in her eyes. She accepted the glasses with a quiet, almost muffled, "Thank you," and bent down to gather her scattered books and bags

Taking a deep breath Abhimanyu asked Soniya, "Ma'am, can you hold these for a moment?" He handed her his iPad and a few books, while Soniya took a step back to give them space. Abhimanyu knelt beside Amrita, assisting her as she struggled to organize her things.

Amrita sniffled softly, Abhimanyu held out a book and a pen, passing them to her gently. Without looking at him, she accepted them and stowed them away in her bag as she stood up, trying to regain her composure.

"Umm, excuse me," Amrita whispered timidly, and Abhimanyu and Soniya instantly stepped aside, allowing her the room to move forward, her footsteps still slightly unsteady.

With quick steps, she got in the washroom wiping her tears and Abhimanyu took his stuff from Soniya "Umm Thank you and I have to leave for my class, students must be waiting"

Soniya nodded and he left to teach the class.

Amrita came a little late to the class and Abhi looked at her once.

She studied and this time she is feeling emotional because she was bullied by a few girls in her class when she went to socialise.

She was there and tried to talk but they jokingly insulted her calling her double battery and a few remarks like "To listen to her voice we would need a speaker! And to even know that she is in the class"

She felt sad, terribly sad, She didn't know how to give back to them, She wasn't like them but she was so angry with herself that she just let them make fun of her and falling was the last piece of her tolerance.

She wiped her tears which were about to fall and looked up at Abhimanyu who was teaching. This time not charmed by his mere looks.

As the class came to an end Abhimanyu Closed the book "Umm Before I leave I have to say something to you guys"

Everyone got his attention.

He looked at Amrita and then others "I know many of you have a lot of friends and some might have few! I have been to college as well, I have seen friendships breaking and even break ups! While coming to the last year many of us are left with no one. So I just want to say that... at the end of the Day, it's just you with yourself and it's okay to be Alone it's peaceful to be alone"

He smiled and She felt her heart fluttering. She needed to hear that!

A smile formed on her lips and Abhimanyu left the class sparing a glance at Amrita who is now smiling.

Abhimanyu said this for her, cause he remembered how one of his favourite professor in college made a student of his feel good and motivated who used to be alone and once cried in front of him.

As a professor, he took care that his students were happy if they were in front of him and so here is Abhimanyu, wanting his students to be happy as well, be it Amrita or anyone else.

Okay, I know many of you prefer male and female leads not having an ex! But being Practical, Abhimanyu is 32, plus Handsome, Even he must have developed feelings for someone when he was in his twenties!! Like we have a crush on someone, We like someone. So I request not to leave the book just because he had been in a relationship before.

What matters is, How we treat and love the person we are currently with!
