"mother!!" kaya whined, Following her mother around the room like a small child.
"see, I have written the letter, you only have to sign. It's not as big as a deal you are making it!" she pushed forward the letter, which her mother perfectly ignored.
"you father will sign it kaya." Kahini said calmly, cutting the vegetables.
"But you know he won't. Especially not after what I did yesterday." she said heaving a sigh.
Her mother looked at her, "how could you hit your own father kaya, I never taught you such manners. You have never fought back before, what's wrong now?".
Kaya stared at her mother and said sternly, " I could not have possibly let him hit you. Even after being very well aware that I can and will protect you."
Kahini looked away. She's tired of trying to make her daughter understand, it been a day already. A small smile played on the mother's lips, after hearing what her daughter said.
"I don't regret any of it ,mother." she said sticking out her tongue playfully while grabbing a carrot from the plate.
Just as she had the first bite, she heard a loud voice.
"kahini! Bring me a glass of water!" the old man had come back.
'Talk of the devil and he's there!' kaya continued to eat the carrot.
"yes, I'll bring it right away." the old lady replied. "kaya, go and give this to your father, my hands are not clean. Go fast lest he'll be angry."
"Doesn't he have anything else to do except for being angry all the time?" she mumbled to herself, getting up to give the glass of water only for her old lady's sake.
"Here." she gave him the glass. He extended his hand before glaring at her. Before he could reach the glass, kaya replaced it with the papers.
"Sign this," she spoke in a dull cold tone.
"Where is your mother?! Ka-" before he could finish, kaya hushed him, bending to his level. "Stop it old man before I break your front teeth, I'm sure a toothless you will look even uglier. " she glared at him with an evil intent.
At this point, the old man had enough. This daughter of his, was threatening him?
"you!" he stood up to hit her. His hand going up in the air to build the pressure of a thunder clap slap.
"ahhhckk"
"..."
The old man screamed in pain.
Kaya looked at him in a disgusted way as she laughed with her head high and gaze down.
"Looks like you won't be able to sign the papers with that broken hand. Then mother will do it, right?" she broke out in a laughter. This was a sight and kaya was having her fun.
She anyway didn't wanted him to sign the paper because if he did, that would only boost his ego in the sense that he will that the authority of the house is with him.
The old man was embarassed.
He withdrew his hand and walked away trying to act calm.
"now this is what's called karma. Pathetic. Just see how I set you straight. "
She looked his way and then on the paper in her hand. Looks like the stay at this house will be longer than she planned to.

"Where the hell is she?!!" A lady who just woke up, ran to her family, where they were seated and sipping their morning drink.
"Arya, atleast freshen up yourself. Look at your hair" maasa said calmly.
Arya was angry and she needed answer.
The family laughed seeing her like that. It had not been even 10 minutes and she had search the whole palace for a women named ,'kaya', who was probably not even there.
Arya needed answer, but this family of her was not giving her answers, instead laughed at her restlessness.
Arya stormed away in anger while her amily sighed at her behaviour.
" Maasa, can't we go and meet kaya now? I mean we all should have went along with her, she's a lady after all yet she didn't took anyone with her for protection." An anxious rudra pestered his mother (bhuasa) again.
"Rudra, what's wrong with you? Why are you behaving like kaya?" Bhuasa was bewildered by her son's behaviour.
"Mother.."
Maasa looked up from her drink and said smiling sheepishly, "isn't it obvious jiji? Our rudra has given his heart to Kaya. Then how can be at peace with his heart away?"
His ears turned a bright red. Even though he hated being always from kaya, at the same time he liked the feeling of desperation that he had at the moment. It was a new feeling for him
His heart wouldn't stop jumping.
It as if he would die if kaya didn't came to him.
The scarlet shade on his face didn't go unnoticed by the elder's as they all hummed in understanding.
"Look she's here!" Kriti whispered in maasa's ear with a smile her face.
"Now tell me!" Arya demanded an answer. It was killing her in inside that she kaya left without telling her.
" Kaya went to her home for a few days. She wrote that she was missing her parents and wanted to meet them, before devika's wedding." Rudra answered.
"Any mention of kaya's name and his ears are up." Bhausa commented.
"She left to where?! Her home?! As in a place in Rajasthan?!" Arya was dumbfounded to the core.
"Yes obviously." Rudra said with a questioning gaze.
'This liar of a women has parents and now a home!' Arya cursed that women.
"Why did she not tell me then?! Let her come back. I'll show what's it to make someone worried--" she immediately stopped when she saw the family members looking at her.
"Worried? Looks like both the siblings are missing kaya much!" Kriti said jokingly.
Arya was embarrassed and she liked at the floor.
"Arya it's not you should be angry at kaya but us. She didn't told us that she was leaving." Bhuasa said with a disheartened expression.
"Then did she told me?! But I don't remember?" Arya was confused.
"She did. A letter was found under your pillow and it was by kaya. Had it not been seen by kriti when she came to your room , the situation today would have been different. You would have been in our place and we in yours, baffled."
"...."
Arya was shocked.
She wrote a letter to her?
And She was here secretly accusing her of going to her world because that's the only way she could have disappeared into the thin air.
For the first time kaya seemed to had a problem with the family's 'No Privacy Policy".
'How could they have read her letter? 'She narrowed her eyes at the thought.
"Then when will she be back?" Kaya and rudra asked in unison
"Why don't we Let these both go to meet kaya then." Arjun suggested as he came downstairs because of all the chattering in the hall.
"What?" Yet again the siblings became hyed up at the idea, together.
The family was down with these two already.
