She basically blurted out all the questions that had been on her mind.
Henryâs brows twitched as he listened to her, before he impatiently cut her off. âWhat do you think youâre doing? Interrogating him?â âIâm sorry...â
Angelina looked at Westonâs cold expressions and tried her best to compose herself. At last, she chose to ask him the one question she cared about the most. âIs Stella ... doing okay?â
She saw the manâs eyes darken and his larynx move up and down.
However, after a while, all he did was turn toward Henry and tell him, âSince you have a guest, Iâd better make myself scarce.â
As he spoke, he got up and left the room.
âMr. Ford! Mr. Ford!â
Angelina ran out after him in a hurry.
âWeâre all really worried about how Stella is doing...â she told him. âCould you please at least tell her that we all miss her... that no matter what help she needs, she always has me, Yvonne , and Bradley Lane by her side?â
Weston stopped abruptly and turned around to look at her. Angelina had always known that he was an intimidating man, but she was still petrified by the look he just gave her.
âIf itâs inconvenient,â she sputtered, âI could just tell her myself when I see her...â
When she returned to Henryâs room, she could not help but complain to him. âAre you really Weston Fordâs friend? Heâs such a cold man. How could you even stand him?â
âI donât have to. Only Stella has to stand him.â
Angelina was a little upset when she heard this.
âDonât you think Weston Ford is too possessive?â she asked. âWhat right does he have to treat Stella like his property? He wouldnât even let her friends ask about her! Is Stella an inanimate object owned by him and him alone?â
Henry continued to flip through his book. Hearing her complaints, he did not even look up at her when he replied, âNone of this concerns you.â
âWhy not?â she argued. âWeâre all concerned about Stella. Weston is just simply too selfish! Does he really think Stella shouldnât contact anyone else but him?â
âCan you be quiet?â Henry was starting to get a headache from her endless grumbling. âIf you canât, then just stay away.â
âWhy did you have to be so cold? I came here with a sincere intention to help, you know...â
âHelp me with what? Help flare up my old sickness again? And bother me all day?â
âI didnât mean to bother you. I just felt guilty for bumping into you, so I wanted to take responsibility for what I did...â âYou just wanted information about Stella from me, didnât you? Well, you got it now, so you should leave.â
Henry saw through her and exposed her without any hesitation, causing Angelina to blush instantly.
âHow can you say that...?â
Although it was true that she wanted to get information about Stella, her intention of taking care for him was actually sincere.
Henry suddenly paused and looked at her. âHavenât you heard them say that you actually look like Faye, and thatâs why youâre trying to get close to me?â, âWhat are you talking about?â Angelinaâs eyes widened.â Thatâs all nonsense!â âGood,â Henry sneered.
âIâm glad itâs not true.â
âWhat I hate the most,â he added, âis a woman who just doesnât know her place.â
Angelina started to feel like he was acting really weirdly.
âAnd what I hate the most is a man acting all weird and saying incomprehensible things!â she exclaimed.
Henry was speechless for a moment. He massaged his brows, suddenly feeling a throbbing headache.
âCan you go now?â he asked.
Angelina got up and said, âWell, since Iâve expressed my honest intentions, taken care of you for many days, and even paid for your medical expenses...â
Before she could finish speaking, Henry waved his hand impatiently and interjected, âYou wonât ever need to come back here.â
