Weston raised his eyebrows at Benâs words. âBut heâs divorced. He has an exâwife.â
âWhatâs wrong with having an exâwife?â
Ben found Westonâs comment strange. âThis man has good qualities. Upon investigation, he has a very good personality too. He was an active member during college. He also has an amazingly beautiful resume. Itâs normal that a man like him has been married before⦠Besides, hasnât Ms. Sealey been married before herself? She even has two children.â
Westonâs expression turned cold at once. âAre you discriminating against her?â
âIâm not.â
Weston said, âOr do you think she can only find a divorced man for her second marriage?â
Ben panicked. âI wouldnât dare!â
With Westonâs ridiculous amount of nitpicking, they could find no one that would match Stella.
Hayden sat beside and quietly reviewed Westonâs latest psychological health report. As he turned the page, he suddenly said, âIâm actually a little interested in Ms. Sealey.â
Hayden laughed a little and turned to Weston, whose face turned ugly. âPersonally, I think Iâm not bad.â
Ben wiped his cold sweat in fear. Even he could tell that Weston was not willing to give Stella away. What was Hayden doing? Was he jumping right into the fire?â
Weston threw away the materials in his hands and looked in Haydenâs direction. His expression seemed indifferent and unreadable. âSuch a joke isnât necessary.â
âIâm not joking.â Haydenâs tone was soft but serious.
âI had a crush on her three years ago, but I kept it to myself for moral reasons. I didnât want to get into some complicated relationship now that youâre my employer, but since you seemed so motivated to find a suitable date for her, so Iâd like to try.â
Haydenâs words worried Ben.
Westonâs face turned cold but remained unreadable. âHow much better do you think you are compared to those men?â
Iâm goodâlooking. Ms. Sealey seems to have approved of my looks. Iâm financially capable and a top performer in my work. I donât have a bad history or broken relationships. Lastly, Iâm someone you trust.
Ben thought Weston would be furious at Haydenâs words, but Westonâs expression only changed slightly.. âOne more thing. She has to be interested in you,â Weston actually approved of him and said, âIâm fine as long as she agrees.â
Benâs jaw dropped at Westonâs reply.
Later, at Stellaâs studio.
Stella was stunned for a long time after seeing Westonâs choice. âHayden?â
Roger heard the name and came over. âWhatâs wrong?â
âWeston found the right man for me. Itâs Hayden.â Stella said helplessly, âI think heâs probably crazy.â
Roger was a little surprised to hear that. âHe really found you a man?â
âThatâs great,â Roger thought. He underestimated Weston, who was actually willing to find another man for Stella.
Stella found it unbelievable as well. Besides, Hayden was Westonâs psychiatrist. What was he thinking?
Perhaps it was so unexpected that Stella agreed.
