Yibo's Pov
I blinked, and my mind went blank. I couldn't think anymore, I just stared at Zhan speechless.
I have always wanted Zhan as my partner, he was the love of my life, my treasure, my reason for living, and I could die for him, but now that he was finally asking me to be part of his life, why was I hesitating?
I loved him and I will never love someone else as I love him, I will never move on from him, so there was no way I would ever find someone else or go to someone else, he was the only one for me.
A simple straight yes should be my answer.
But no words came out from my mouth, why?
Zhan smiled at me and gave me a gentle kiss on my forehead, "There is no need to hurry, you can take your time and answer, we can take things slow or if you want to be just friends then fine, I would be tough but for you, I can do that." he pushed before he added, "let's eat something let me order something. What will you eat?"
"Anything is fine," I replied.
"Alright." Zhan got up and picked up his phone to order some food, while I lay on the sofa thinking about his questions.
Just friends?
I can't be just friends with him, I'll never be able to see him with someone else, just the thought made my heart ache, I will never be happy if he falls in love with someone else.
But what if I am not a good partner to him, what if I turned out like my father?
No, I was not my father, I was better than him.
I snapped out of my thoughts when Zhan's phone rang, "It's my sister let me answer it."
I gave him a nod.

Zhan's pov~
"Zhan, why didn't you call us when you reached?" Yanli asked.
"I am sorry I was just so tired that I forgot."
"I see, anyway, how are you now? Lucy told me you were sick?"
"Sick?" I asked.
"Yes, Lucy and Grandpa called everyone and asked them to meet at their house, she wanted to introduce her new boyfriend, and we were shocked to see that it was Jessie, my mother, and uncle were really angry when they saw him.
But they didn't cause a scene, because you know Danny was sick and Grandfather was feeling under the weather too, Lucy told us that she had called you too but you said to her that you were sick and you had a lot of work, so you won't make it, because it would be too much, and she also said that you have already met Jessis with her.
Zhan, are you really okay with this relationship?"
I was a fool, of course, Yanli, Cheng, uncle, and aunt couldn't betray me, I smiled when I heard all this, and I was relieved. I felt lighter.
"I am fine, Lucy is an adult, she can do what she wants, I will be there for her, I will just keep my distance from her and her boyfriend, you guys don't have to say anything to her or Jessie. I will talk to you later, bye"
Besides I didn't give a fuck about Jessie, he could do whatever the fuck he wants, I had my Yibo, and that's all that matters, my entire attention will be on him from today.
My Yibo has been through hell and back, and now I had to make sure that he never has to go through any of that ever again, I will make him the happiest man on earth, I will shower him with love and attention, I will worship the ground he walks on, I will fulfill his every wish and I will give him the world if I could.
We spent the entire day together, we talked and talked about life, about how we spent the last ten years, and we even talked about the past.
Then we took a walk, went grocery shopping together, cooked together, and took a long drive.
And just like that, my two-day trip was extended to a five-day trip, waking up to Yibo's sleeping face was the most beautiful thing ever.
I would wake up earlier than him and then stare at him, observing his beauty. Memorizing each and every detail about his face.
Then we would cuddle for a while and then get up for breakfast, and then prepare lunch, and play games, I even went through my old stuff around the house with him.
We looked at our photo albums as well, remembering the good times and promising to make many more albums in the future.
However, I couldn't stay here forever, and neither could he, calls had started to pour in, and Ziyi was calling me asking me to come back because there was a lot of work and I couldn't afford to take any more days off.
My family had started to call me too because they were worried about me, as I had never stayed in my hometown for so long, that too without telling them.

It was the last day of my trip, and I woke up all alone on the bed, I sat up straight when I didn't see Yibo beside me, my heart started to beat at an abnormal pace and I was scared.
What if he left again?
What if he vanished again?
I quickly got out of bed, nearly falling down in the process, I ran outside the room, but stopped when I heard voices from the kitchen.
And there he was in the kitchen, he smiled at me, "Good morning, I made breakfast."
I sighed with relief before I rushed to him and hugged him tightly, "I thought you left again."
He hugged me back and gently patted my back, "I won't leave you again Zhan."
After a few minutes, I broke the hug, Yibo made me sit down and served me some breakfast, "taste it and tell me how it is?" he said.
I smiled and took the first bite and as soon as the food touched my tastebuds my eyes widened, "this...this tastes just like how your mother used to make...."
Yibo smiled, "That's the biggest compliment I can ever get. Thanks. I learned it from her."
"It's heavenly, I missed this so much," I said as I devoured the plate.
"Eat slowly, there is more," he said.

Soon it was time to leave, we both had to return to work, thankfully now we knew how to reach each other.
Yibo's office was thankfully in the same city as mine, maybe it was fate, or it was a coincidence, or perhaps it was buddha's blessing that we were in the same city.
I locked my house and stared at it one last time before I turned to walk away from it.
"Zhan." I looked at Yibo, who stood in front of me.
"The answer is yes."
I blinked not understanding at first what he meant, before it clicked, my eyes widened and a smile broke out on my face, I ran to him and hugged him tightly.
"Really?" I asked.
"Really I will be your boyfriend," he confirmed.
I smiled before I cupped his face and gave him a long passionate kiss.
"I am so, so, so happy Yibo, you have no idea how happy you made me, thank you... for giving me a chance. I love you."
"I love you too."
