Chapter 561 Agnes has known for a long time that the Thomas brothers, Cilian and Berlin, have been sticking together like glue, living under the same roof for decades. Cilian spoiled his little brother rotten.

Word on the street is that it’s because their parents died when they were young, so they had to rely on each other.

Even though Berlin wasn’t exactly a capable person, Cilian still cut him in on a significant chunk of the shares, keeping him living large.

After they stepped into the mansion, Laura gave them a brief introduction.

The mansion is massive, with over a hundred rooms from top to bottom.

Laura said, “Even though this mansion is huge, most of it is the Thomas family’s turf. Don’t get too nosy, there are some no–go zones here. Cilian often goes out for business trips, so he’s not home most of the time, only popping in for a few days every now and then. But his two sons, Raleign Thomas and Kevin Thomas, are permanently living here, and these two have a bit of a bad reputation, so you’d better stay away from them.”

“Thanks for the heads up, Ms. Laura. I’ll keep that in mind.”

Just then, the butler walked over.

Beatrice was leading the way, and the butler grinned, “Ms. Beatrice, welcome back.”

Beatrice just grunted in response, clearly not in a good mood, and then went upstairs.

Laura walked over and said, “Hammer, this is my ex–husband’s daughter. Set her up in a guest room, and make sure it’s got a firm bed, she’s not used to sleeping on a soft one.” Hammer glanced at Laura and said, “Sure thing, ma’am.”

Even though he was very polite, when no one was looking, his hand sneaked a few touches on Laura’s waist.

Laura gave him a look, “Has Mr. Berlin’s schedule been sorted?”

“Berlin won’t be back for a couple of days.”

“After you’ve settled Ms. Agnes, swing by my study. I’ve got some business to discuss with you.”

“Yes, Mrs. Berlin.”

All of this was noticed by Beatrice, who had just gone upstairs.

She saw Hammer taking advantage of her mom again.

In this household, Hammer was the one person Beatrice couldn’t stand the most.

Hammer has been the butler for the Thomas family for twenty years, having the run of the place.

Cilian trust him implicitly, even Berlin had to give him some respect in this house.

Beatrice had no idea when her mom started getting closer with him.

Beatrice confronted Laura about it once, and Laura just said she was doing it to make life in this house a bit easier, but Beatrice thought it was downright uncomfortable.

Every time she saw Hammer’s eyes full of desire for Laura, she felt sick to her stomach.

But because of Laura, Hammer always treated her like a queen in this house.

Suddenly, Beatrice had an idea.

Hammer asked Agnes to wait in the living room while he went to arrange the guest room.

Just as Hammer was about to head upstairs, Beatrice called him back, “Hammer, I need a favor.”

Hammer was surprised, “Ms. Beatrice, whatever you need, just say the word. I’m your butler, I’ll make sure it gets done.”

Beatrice has always been cold to him, mainly because she discovered his relationship with Laura.

Even though he’s been trying to butter her up, it doesn’t seem to have any effect.

But today, she’s coming to him for a favor, which is a rare sight.

Beatrice suddenly walked up to him and whispered something in Hammer’s ear.
