Laura frowned, “But who is this man? I don’t recall ever meeting him.”

Astonished, Agnes asked, “You know her?”

“I sure do, the gentleman is a regular in our joint. Just last night, I served him drinks and played a round of poker with him till midnight. That’s why I’m so exhausted today.”

Agnes was taken by surprise; Berlin had been here just the night before.

Agnes asked, “Is Berlin still here?”

Phenix chuckled, “Anyone who enters Eden Nights stays the night. Half the girls here have been his old flames. You wouldn’t believe it, but despite being close to sixty, he’s as fit as a twenty–year–old lad. Our top girl, Candy, was with him last night.”

Agnes furrowed her brows, as if contemplating something.

Phenix curiously asked, “What’s going on between you two? Why are you collecting photos of Mrs. Thomas cheating?”

Having seen the photos, Phenix had an idea of what was going on, but she couldn’t figure out Agnes‘ involvement.

Agnes said, “Phenix, I need your help.”

“As long as it’s not murder or arson, I’m at your service.”

Agnes spoke gravely, “It’s actually close to murder and arson.”

Phenix paused, then said, “Well, I might consider it. After all, we aren’t saints ourselves.”

Agnes clarified, “Not actual murder. But please find someone skilled with cars to tamper with Berlin’s ride, and find a way to show him these photos.”

Phenix assured her, “That’s not a problem, leave it to me.”

Agnes continued, “Could you also install a camera in Berlin’s room?”

Phenix chuckled, “Every room here is wired, how else would I know about Berlin’s stamina? Of course, it’s also for studying the customers‘ preferences. Our girls even use the footage as educational videos. Are you interested?”

Agnes blushed, coughed, and corrected, “No, I just want to see his reaction when he sees the photos.”

Phenix laughed, “I was just teasing! I’ll have Candy find a way to show him those photos. Candy is his old flame. She’s been with him since she was twenty, and she always wanted to climb the social ladder. But then Berlin married a middle–aged woman, and Candy was furious. From her laptop, Agnes could see everything happening inside.
