Later that night, a convenient store was being robbed by the leader of the thugs from the week before.
The thief was holding up his gun while threatening the owner of the store. "And you keep them up. Got it? And don't let me catch you calling the cops."
That's when chains came down and wrapped his arms. "What? Not again," he groaned.
He was lifted up to the roof, dropping his gun, and the money. Once up, Raph threw the guy over near the edge of the roof.
"Didn't I take care of you last week?" Raph, as he approached the guy.
"Hey. On no. Come one, now. Wait," the guy mumbled, trying to back away from the Night Watcher.
"Raph lifted the guy up by his shirt collar. "I'm very disappointed in you, knucklehead. Guess Night School's in session," he said, getting ready to punch.
That is until he heard a whistle, and they turned to see Casey Jones with a baseball bat and a hockey mask.
"Hope I'm not disturbing class. Hey, Night Watcher, need and teaching assistance?" he asked.
"Oh no. Casey," Raph mumbled, then declined while punching the thief in the face without looking. "I got this one covered, pal. Thanks, but no thanks."
"You think you own those rooftops? I happened to think you could use my help. And I could use a sidekick. You may have everyone else fooled, but you haven't fooled me, Raph," Casey said.
Raph threw his chain around Casey's bat and snatched it away.
"Yeah, well guess what, pal. Now you-" he started then stopped.
"Hey, wait a minute. How did you know it was me?" he sighed, removing his helmet.
"Wasn't that hard, man. You know, you look like a big metal turtle," Casey answered while removing his mask.
"It's that obvious, huh?" Raph asked.
The two turned to see the thief, struggling to get to the edge of the roof.
"I should've stayed in Law School," he panicked shakily.
"Ain't that cute? He's trying to get away," Casey teased.
He and Raph looked at each other, nodded, and Raph put on his helmet while Casey put on his mask.
"Well, looks like I got a sidekick," Casey said.
"Yeah, right. You're the sidekick," Raph remarked.
They tied up the crook by the foot with the chain. Then they sat down on the edge of the roof and watched as the police arrested the guy. Raph had his suit off and held his helmet in his hands.
"What was I supposed to do, sit around, waiting for Leo to come back and the day? I mean, we haven't word one from him since Splinter sent him away on his little vacation. Come on, you think these lowlifes take vacations at the first sign of pressure? No. The criminal element of this city may be guilty of a lot of things, but before quitters ain't one of them," Raph explained, putting his in his bag, then added as he stood and paced. "You know, I don't even care about Leo anymore. I hope he never comes back."
"Come on, aren't you being a little hard on the guy?" Casey asked
"I don't know. It's possible. I guess if I could live anywhere other than the city, I'd go too. But I could never this place. I can't even sleep without the sound of the subway rumbling over my head," Raph replied.
He sat down beside Casey then sighed. "I guess it comes from growing up with a houseful of brothers."
"I'm not trying to tell you what to do. I'm just saying if it was my brother I'd find a way to work it out. But that's just me. I've got my own issues you know like back at home with April. There's this whole thing about settling down. That makes me miss the old times. I don't know if I can be the grown up she needs me to be," Casey said.
When no answer came, he turned to see Raph sleeping while snoring away.
"Good talk, Raph," Casey grumbled.

A/N Well, only Casey knows that Raph is the Night Watcher. But what happens when Leo comes home?
